Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

For some reason whenever I use the 4th gen Shiny Egg method for HGSS I keep getting higher delays than it needs to be. I put my max delay at 900 but the RNG Reporter keeps putting in delays higher than that. Note that I'm using the latest RNG Reporter (9.81). What do I do?

As stated above your post and further back as well metal, the latest version of RNGreporter doesn't do shiny eggs well.

Use an older version.

I have a seed that I've hit 3 times and it is Method J (Sync), and everytime that I've caught it the sync failed, and instead of being adamant like my sync'r and my sync nature I put into the reporter was, the Pokemon was hasty like the reporter said. Is this just coincidental that the sync fails or is the sync not supposed to work and it's just to change the frame in some way?

Here's a screenshot of what the RNG Reporter showed:

I am going for the hasty seed, and have hit the target frame and delay, and then captured the Regirock 3 times (that's what I'm going for), and it's had the IVs and been shiny but the sync didn't change it's nature to adamant. Is the sync actually supposed to change the nature?

No unless it outputs a result with Adamant as the nature(with the synch nature like you have it) then it won't be synched.

So your synch isn't failing its just not a frame that can be synched.

Also with that ID/SID combo, your not going to get a perfect shiny capture. Here is the best one I could find with your given ID/SID:

78030CC8
3210 Delay
Synched Frame:157
31/31/30/3/25/31

Oh I see, so I saw this on PokeRNG:

If you look at the J (Sync), would this work with my sync pokemon to make it adamant, or is this the same as the other one I showed you?

What it means is that if you have a Hasty Synch, then frame 32 will be hasty with those IV's. Same with the Docile.

The nature it shows has to correspond to your synching nature.

So neither of those will work as they are for a Hasty and a Docile synch.

If I use Sweet Scent in the water on Diamond, will it advance 3 frames? It says that's the starting frame, but it said somewhere else that using Sweet Scent advances by 2, so would it add 5 total?

It should advance it 3. I think your getting this part of the guide confused:

"Once this Pokémon is captured enter its stats into the "DPPt Seed Finder" of RNG Reporter, then generate a frame listing for method J. For Pokémon that were captured using Sweet Scent the frame will be two."

All thats saying is that Pokemon SS in grass have a starting frame of 2(aka the monster frame).

So it should only advance it 3.

I was playing with PokeRNG, and I found by switching my ID/SID in the program, it changed the results that came up, and by using Pokesav I can change my ID/SID to a result I found, and was wondering if anybody knew of an ID/SID that could give me a shiny timid result in Method J, that would come up with HP (Ice) 68-70, and all stat IVs would be 29-31 except for the attack stat. The frame doesn't really matter as much, but if possible I'd like it under 3000, and the delay needs to be able to be changed to 599 with the date. This would really help because I’ve been trying for one for 3 days now.

~EDIT~ I'm also looking for a timid shiny ID/SID that could get me a HP (grass) 68-70, with the same delay and preferably a lower frame on Meethod J

Wifi rules say:
- Trading Pokemon which have been made shiny through the use of codes and/or Pokesav to directly alter a trainer ID or SID is forbidden.

Don't do that.

What you'll want to do is find a PID with the nature/IVs you want, and use RNG Reporter's 4th gen Pandora's Box to find a suitable seed when starting a new game to produce an acceptable and legitimate ID/SID.

Ok I'll do that then, didn't know that you were able to do that. Sounds kind of time consuming though, lol

~EDIT~ Is there a guide somewhere so I can learn how to do it?

I have a little confusion, the delay start to run when I press the A button on the main menu of the nintendo DS or when appear the screen where say the company: pokemon, nintendo, game freak,I'm using Pokemon Pearl Version.

It actually starts in between the two. The purpose of calibration is to make up for the small amount of time in between.

Crappy event eggs...Just for snits 'n' giggles

Is there any way to abuse Primo's Daisuki Club gift eggs (Mareep, Whooper, and Slugma eggs) in HG/SS?

While I'm no expert in Gen 4 RNG'ing, the one (and so far only) time I have RNG'd in Gen 4 I used Eon Timer to hit a ~8000 delay seed. So I would say that yes, you can use it for high delays.
