Sigh....
well, my hopes for using my fav pokemon are crushed... Although you think a 20 ft long snake made out of rock would be the sturdiest thing out there.
Steel snakes > Rock snakes any day, Steelix can actually be used.
Sigh....

Rydon is also a cool poke with eviolite. Even with it's 4x weakness to grass and water, it could still be used properly by a good trainer.
CB Entei is a ready-made check to nearly all the speed boosting sweepers in this tier because they are all quite frail. 94.7% - 111.7% on Sharpedo. Mach Punch would do the trick too!
An outright counter is hard to find though, Poliwrath is the closest thing I have found since a lot of Sharpedo don't carry a Hidden Power but Earthquake still hurts... Try Ferroseed?

This guy. He can spin, he can wall, he can hit things, and he can stall. Blastoise can do lots of stuff if he feels like it. Plus he has rain dish for the Rain dance teams. Not much of a downside for the cannon turtle. Hopefully we can see him make a big splash (pun not intended) in the RU metagame.
...You're telling us stuff we already know. Refer to my thread to see the stuff that's good and common in this metagame.
OK, I can see the list of things in UU (meaning the lowest-tier Pokes banned from RU), but where can I find a list of Pokes that are actually in the RU tier? I'd like to know for Speed-benchmark reasons, so I can gear my Speed Boosting shark accordingly.
Thanks, man. Oh, and about the Tangela thing? 252 SpA EVs, +SpA nature, and LO means Ice Beam > Tangela.http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3449511
Every poke in every tier + more.
Also, you might want to mainly just look at the fully evolved, but take note some pokes are great with Eviolite, like Tangela, which is probably a great wall for your shark.

You use Stunfisk as an annoying wall that disperses paralysis (with Static and T-Wave), sleep (with Yawn), and poison (with Toxic).
Stunfisk sounds interesting. Being a ground and electric type is pretty useful. I can see something like this:
Stunfisk used Yawn!
Marowak is getting sleepy!
Dude switched Marowak for Scolipede!
Stunfisk used Yawn!
*Facepalm
More like
Stunfisk used Yawn!
Marowak is getting sleepy!
Marowak used Earthquake!
Stunfisk fainted!
And then NEXT turn Marowak gets swapped out. Why you'd leave an Electric type in on Marowak is beyond me.
I can not see anyreason to run the SpA EV's and Nature just for Tangela. Your'e much better off with Adamant/Jolly and 252/252 Atk and Spe. Will edit with calcs in 2 mins
I've been looking through this thread, a people have been complaining about bug types... If you're having problems, try Specially Defensive Regirock. He can take almost any hit from the common Bug types, and hits back hard with Stone Edge. Plus he gets the Rocks up, which is invaluable with a Bug ridden metagame. Regirock can also take down ScarfCrow, as long as you can predict when a Brave Bird is coming or when a SuperPower is coming, and Regicrock I believe is a 2HKO from Superpower anyways. I'm also surprised Electivire hasn't been used more. He can OHKO Standard Venomoth with Fire Punch with 252 Att Neural Nature, and has insane coverage with TPunch/Fpunch/EQ/Cross Chop. So there's my take on RU so far.
EDIT: Also, Eviolite Tangela walls Sharpedo and every single other Water type in RU (even if they have Ice Beam), so don't be complainin :P
And I just so happen to run a mixed set.Sharpedo is much better with a mixed set.
