5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Give me a sec for the SS. The IVs could have also been from the second spread after the one I wanted but again the nature wouldn't have matched...

Edit: Oh ffs I figured out my mistake. I didn't check the Ditto parent box on the main window as well

The base IVs starting at frame 8 are 7/3/31/19/21/31 btw. It's hard to figure out what happened with the parents having those stats.

Was I supposed to hit frame 97 instead of 98? 97 isn't marked as shiny in the main window...

Oh and the mother is a female Axew (no item) and the "father" is the int. Ditto (Adamant w/ Everstone). The egg was shiny Calm natured w/ 31/31/31/19/31/31.

Okay. I got two chatots, a jolly synchronizer, a breloom with false swipe and spore, and all eight badges on my white version. So what else do I need to do before I get to zekrom?

I need to beat the elite four and what else?

Do I save after I defeat the elite four and before I battle N at his castle?

Am I still gonna be able to get to my pc even though I defeated the elite four members?

Am i battle Zekrom before or after I battle N?

You fight Zekrom after the Elite Four. You'll have an opportunity to leave an come back via a plasma grunt on in one of the rooms at N's castle (takes you to the pokecenter before the Elite Four). You will fight Zekrom before N and you must catch it unless all 24 boxes in your PC and your party is completely full. Failing to do so will make you fight it again for no EXP. After capture it is put into the lead spot of your party no matter what; if your party is full it bumps out the last member I think. Because of that it will gain EVs unfortunately.

okay. Thank you.

EDIT: Hold on..... what do you mean by the bold part?

In one of the rooms in N's castle there is a Plasma grunt that will teleport you out of the castle to the pokecenter before the Elite Four. There is another Plasma grunt who will teleport you back to the castle.

Ahhhh! Okay. Thank you.

You know.... For someone who has only been a member on smogon for a short while, you seem to know more about rng abuse than most other players who are new and who are newbies.

Thanks. I lurk a lot and come here mostly for RNG stuff. I'm not in the competitive battle scene really. That and I started RNG abuse in Emerald. Sure it was when B/W came out but I didn't even have a 4th gen game at the time. TBH, I only started 5th gen egg abuse yesterday and I already have 4 shiny near flawless DW pokes and that shiny Axew. Having RNG'd parents from 4th gen really sped that up.

Oh and I RNG'd for Zekrom myself. I didn't want EVs though so I filled my boxes and caught it at Dragonspiral Tower.

Edit: Unless you faint Zekrom w/o having defeat anything you will get EVs from Reshiram and Cofagrigus at the bare minimum. Reshiram gives 3 base SpAtk EVs while Cofagrigus gives 2 base Def EVs. There are two separate battles in a row and you will be unable to change the order. Also, after catching it you won't be able to check it's nature IIRC. I don't think you can check the nature in battle, only the base stats so you'll have to use a stat calculator.

Once you capture Zekrom, just let your party be wiped by N. You'll arrive at the Victory Road Pokécenter with Zekrom, and it'll have 0 EVs.

Do you know how much time it took to capture 24 boxes worth of pokemon?
.......
*rageguy*

I suppose. It's just I didn't know that. Oh well, what's done is done. At least I can say I RNG'd it in Dragonspiral Tower.

Is there a way to change the DS Mac Address part of the DS Parameters section in time finder? I'm trying to input my parameters into a new computer where I had previously accidentally only entered the last 6 digits of my MAC address and I'm looking to change it to the full address. Is there a file saved somewhere that holds of RNG Reporter's saved variables that I can edit and change the value?

When it says the PIDRNG frame advances when you take a step in an area with pokemon, does that mean in a grass area where you can encounter pokemon or any step in a route where there is grass to find pokemon?

Here's my problem. I have a shiny PIDRNG on frame 88, but the initial Frame is 5 meaning i have to take 128 step to advance it. But doing so would cause the PIDRNG frame to advance above 88. So if im RNGing for a shiny Duosion (on Route 9 so no Wandering NPCs) can i advance the intial frame to 5 without advancing the PIDRNG frame past 88?
I'm new to this so sorry if that was confusing or I used improper wording. I can clarify. Thanks in advance.

So, I was wondering if anyone found out the precise number of PIDRNG frames walking and turning in grass advance. I might be trying to get some shiny shaking patches in Lostlorn Forest (No NPCs)

You have to change the method to Method 5 (Standard Seed) on the capture tab so that you can change the MAC address :P

As long as you don't walk in the tall grass, you won't advance the PID RNG.

It was super frustrating when I tried to get my Shiny Lilligant from a shaking patch. The seed I found was on frame 2 so I could only bring my syncer, so I couldn't use Chatot. So I tried turning in the grass, which I found extremely inconsistent. I had to calibrate for it. It was basically trial and error for me. At first I assumed it was +2 each turn, so I did 84 turns. I past up my target with that many turns, so I kept trying a lower amount of turns until I got it. I hope that helped :]

I did alot of shaking grass,i think it is best that you set to frame 9 and 11 or higher so that you can use max repel and have a very high chance of making a shaking grass appear on the seed you're trying to do before the repels ends.Dont bother trying to figure out how much it advances, just hit the seed and find a grass patch pokemon to discover where you fall on the pid

By walking near the top side of the trunk between the 5 patch of grass and a few without,i get roughly 600 650 PID advancements,if you walk only in the grass 700 680.If you choose to not walk in the grass below the hollow trunk, you can get 80 110 PID advancements.

It seems walking and running affect where and if the shaking grass will appear,so do the exact same way all the time.

Oh if you manage to do it please tell me the results you got...im getting some really weird stuff in regards to synch natures and what not.Reporter says it isnt synch but it ends up being...

This might sound like a silly question, but I'm still new to this rng abuse on the 5th gen. So tell me what exactly are paremeters? =/

I got my shiny Jolly Pansage, the sync worked on that frame, but while calibrating how many frames I advanced, I had some frames that were not the nature I thought they were..

Yeah, that's the same problem I had with Shaking Patch abuse. I had to find a different seed because my first seed's shiny PID was non-syncable even though RNG Reporter said it was. I asked Chiizu about it on IRC and he said RNG Reporter is probably wrong for Shaking Patch sync frames.

But, may I ask, did you find turning in grass consistent? If so, by how many frames did each turn advance the PID by? It wasn't consistent for me, Idk why. Each turn / step seemed to advance by ~4.

Ohhh is that so...i thought it was just me but doesnt seem the case.It isnt just for shaking grass btw.Double grass, bubble spots, fishing spots, everything is mixed up :S.I asked this with kaphotics but he didnt say nothing but pehaps this time with more people finding the problem,he might check out to fix in the future RNG reporter.

I think i discovered a pattern of how it works. When it says it can be synch in wild it means in shaking grass where it cant be synched.
If it can be synched in shaking grass and not in wild,it means in wild....everything inverted.

I posted more about this here http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3634480#post3634480

Yes princess,as far i tested, walking and turning only advances by 2 in wild,it is quite random not in wild however :S.
Tested this ALOT in relic castle and giant chasm by turning against wall to hit higher PID frames on IV frame 1.

Another question to you guys, when you people find a seed with 2 shiny frames, one of them is synch and the other one dont,it is inverted too?Because when i was doing excadrill, there was 2 shiny PID frames, one 670 not synch and one 700 synch.I tried 670 and got synch nature....tried 700 and didnt get synch nature...everything mixed up.

If the frame used for the Sync calc is misplaced, then the results are not inverted. It would instead be 50%.

Check to see if the next/previous frame is syncable or not and see if that's what you'd actually get with your received frame. That's where the problem (most likely is).

I am havibg large amoubts of trouble Trying to Breed this DW ability Parent. The male parent has the everstone, and the female parent (DW) hold nothing.
The offspring I want has 2 Regular abilities, and the Dream World Ability. Here is my Seed:

288144C5 * *288144C53B7021CD * *8 * *31 * *31 * *31 * *31 * *31 * *31 * *Dark * *70 * *06/01/11 23:52:29 * *C7F * *L-X
shiny not sync starting 177
Could someone perhaps tell me my Start PID, and What PID frame Will I encounter the right Ability, and Nature? Both parents are flawless, and the seed is flawless.
Sorry if this is on the wrong thread, but I am unsire where this goes...

What's your everstone nature? And, are you trying to get a shiny? If so, you have to give your ID/SID :P

And, according to RNG Reporter, your starting frame is ~44. It's probably 45, 46, 47, or maybe even 48 because of NPCs, but I think it wouldn't be more than 46 if you pause ASAP.
