There are certain people you can pm about help with the RNG, like Wild Eep who can point you in the right direction. If you're asking about more devious methods this isn't the place to ask

RNG abuse is completely legal, it's not cheating it's just taking advantage of the inner workings of the system. If you don't use RNG abuse, you will probably have to hack, otherwise it's extremely unlikely that you will get good IVs on your Pokés

What are good pokemon to set up trick room? I want to make a trick room team in UU, it looks like a fun gimmick. And second, what would be pokemon that can abuse and be powerful in trick room? I want to get Excavalier and Druddigon on the team, they're both slow but powerful.

edit: Another question. I am considering replacing the Froslass on my team with Jellicent. Jellicent would give my team an additional immunity for free switches to abuse, and be a counter to a few threats that my team faces such as volcarona. However, it would open my team up to some new threats such as setup special sweepers (occasionally), and a few odd pokemon and dragons that Froslass can kill with destiny bond/150 bp ice weather ball respectively. Also, with all this 5th gen is weather nonsense running around, froslass is my counter to activate hail after I kill the enemies weather setter, so I would lose that as well. So I need some advice for this decision, what would be the pros and cons of the situation and the overall impact?

P2 and Dusclops/noir are always good.

At the top of the window it has tabs like File and Options, click on the one that says Tiers and it gives you a dropdown list of various tiers, just click on one from there and it will change your tier as long as your team is valid for that tier

Why does the Thundurus thread only have two pages of discussion, when the other highly-overrated Pokémon have much more discussion (even Tornadus has more discussion, and Chandy has lol50 pages because of ST)? I've looked for old threads under "Borutorosu" and "Voltolos" but didn't find a thread of such title. Was there just truly nothing to discuss about it..? I'd expect a to-be suspect (and yes, I know the thread was way back at the start of the Gen so nobody knew) to have more discussion, theorymon-ing and hype. Was it just the fact that people didn't realize its potential?

Or maybe I missed the actual official thread entirely.

Cofagrigus
252 HP – 136 SDef – 120 Def
Calm
- Rest
- Haze
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp

Could this set work or does it need different EV's?

@Kepperino:
I personally prefer this Cofagrigus Set:

Cofagrigus @Leftovers
252 HP - 252 DEF - 4 Special Attack
Bold
-Calm Mind
-Will-o-Wisp
-Hex/Shadow Ball
-Haze/Psychic/Grass Knot

What item is your Cofagrigus set holding? It's probably Leftovers, but you didn't post that. That set has 356 Defense and 308 Special Defense - if you really want balanced defenses, go for 28 Defense and 228 Special Defense with the same nature. You could also go for specially defensive (252 Special Defense and the same nature). Also, what's the point of Rest on your set? Cofagrigus can't learn Sleep Talk because he's a 5th gen pokemon. I know you might want to cure the sleep status using a cleric though.

Forgot to mention this, it HAS to be Calm.
I've only got acces to Calm.
Since I can only use Calm, what EV's?
Yes, I'd like to use Lefties.
Main target is Hazing, but Calm Mind combined with Haze could work too.
Another question: To who belongs the OT Mat and the ID no. 48509?
I've been Googleing for him, but I can't find him...

I was playing in the dream world and had to decide between female seaking and relicanth (or luvdisc lol) so I paniced and picked relicanth because it seemed more rare.
Does Sturdy Relicanth have any viability? It gets amnesia, rest, and sleep talk (egg move) and it has good HP and Defense. Or Rock Polish. Shameful weaknesses, but it gets EdgeQuake and decent Attack. Possible in the lower tiers? What would a good set be?

Could this be a gimmick?
Regigigas @ Choice Specs
Modest
252 HP/252 SpA/6 Def
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Hidden Power Ice
Earth Power

I guess...
But Regigigas' Special Attack is just as strong as the halved Attack it has the first five turns.
So... Attack is still the better option.

You see, I play on using him in the GBU, so he'll most likely be taken advantage of for set-up. So I chose Special Attack this time. Five turns is too much.

Listen...
It makes no difference.
Regigigas' Attack the first five turns: 80.
Regigigas' Attack all the other turns: 160!
Regigigas' Special Attack ALWAYS: 80.

So... Attack and Special Attack are equal.
But if you can last five turns, attack becomes far superior.
If you don't plan on lasting five turns, Special Attack could be fine, sure. At least it'll be unexpected.

nope you can't Calculate with Base stats.
Regigigas 252 EVs +nature Atk is 230 the first five turns, then 460.
Regigigas 252 Evs +nature SpA is 284.

so its a lot stronger on the special side for the first five turns.

So... Attack and Special Attack are equal.
Slow Start halves EVs and IVs as well, so no, they are not equal.

That being said, that set's a little too gimmicky to work that well. While his defenses are good, sticking Specs on something incredibly slow with only 80 base SpA and a really shallow Special movepool isn't a great use of a team slot.

Edit: Ninja'd

Didn't take that in account, you're obviously right.

Haze would also negate your own Calm Minds though.
/Facepalm again
Good point. Any ideas how I should divide the EV's for a Calm Haze Cofagrigus?
