Media Yu-Gi-Oh discussion

Oh my god... WTF???

I just read on Pojo that BLS is coming back to the metagame--

wtf are those fuckers at Konami smoking???

Black Lust Solidier eh... holy shit.

We should fall up suit like Konami and put Arceus in OU.

Cut Machina Force for Machina Cannon. If you want a level 8 or higher to discard for Fortress, Cannon can still be a live card while Force never is.

I guess cut Fissures but other than that I can't find much.

The sad part is that, I can assure you, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning will be a small concern in contrast to other things this format.

So you really need the starlight road?

Dr. Eyepatch-- it's true that the level of monsters in the game has increased dramatically since when BLS was king, but frankly, even the current meta is filled with crap that splices well with Chaos. BLS will be able splash into a big percent of the top decks.

Chou Toshio -- Do not get me wrong; although BLS can be an out to several things, I foresee it being more of a problem card, especially since it can easily be played at the drop of the hat and with all the removal for any protection you may have set for it. Despite that, I believe things such as still having triple Reborn Tengu, Tour Guide of the Underworld shenanigans, and the abhorrent rulings that Sangan and Tengu's effects activate from Xyz summonings are a bigger threat and nuisance to the game.

Otherwise, not just BLS, but the sheer amount of splashable, easy-to-summon boss monsters and backrow hate/removal in general are going to be problems. I feel that things such as Gorz, Battle Fader, and Effect Veiler will become more invaluable than they ever before were within the next six months.

Dr I agree with you on that. I played way back in the day when summon skull was the boss monster. Nowadays BLS is great but far from broken. Alot of decks can run him but he truly only shines in twilight. 1 copy of starlight road is always good with heavy making a comeback.

Right now im in a beta deck testign of Blackwings+dragunity after I work out the major problems ill post it.

actually he shines in any deck that runs tour guide (which is basically every single deck) since tour guide into sangan into veiler makes him live. also since twilight isnt even a top tier deck, your point is even more wrong

you also wont work out the major problems with blackwing/dragunity since the major problems are that you are running blackwing/dragunity

Machina Cannon wasn't released in the TCG yet I think, but I will use it on dueling network. I feel if I cut Fissure though, Raiou kinda rapes me a lot more. I also feel if I cut MST, I lack flexibility against certain decks like Tech Genus which depend on Skill Drain. MST is also good because I need to get attacks in with Fortress, and lets me beat GK.

I like Starlight Road because I can explode and win a game with it, or lay a large backrow without worrying about Heavy Storm.

Twilight really isnt a top tier I agree but who knows how tis format is turning is going to turn out.

The blackwing/dragunity deck is a fun deck only and it surprisingly works im just running it through its test phases.

As for my current decks I have and I run.(and play in tournaments.)
1.)Twilight
2.)GB
3.)Reborn Tengu
4.)DW
5.)Agent turbo
6.)Vayu Turbo
7.)Disaster Dragon
8.)GK
9.)Perfect Circle
10.)Dark Angel deck.

So this is what i'm going to try to run for September. Anybody who's seen me duel knows that I usually play with different builds of E-Heros. Personally I really enjoy using this deck for the past couple of months, so this is going to be a bit tweaked to make it fit the Sept. banlist.

Monsters: 13

1 Elemental Hero Neos
1 Cyber Dragon
1 Effect Veiler
1 Elemental Hero Heat
1 Elemental Hero Ice Edge
1 Elemental Hero Ocean
1 Elemental Hero Prisma
1 Elemental Hero Stratos
2 Elemental Hero Voltic
1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
1 Rainbow Dragon
1 Snowman Eater

Spells:18

1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
3 E - Emergency Call
3 Fusion Gate
1 Heavy Storm
2 Miracle Fusion
1 Monster Reborn
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Reinforcement of the Army
3 Terraforming

Traps: 8

2 Chain Material
1 Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell
1 Mirror Force
1 Solemn Judgment
2 Solemn Warning
1 Starlight Road
1 Torrential Tribute

Extra Deck: 15

1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon
1 Dragon Knight Draco Equiste
3 Elemental Hero Absolute Zero
2 Elemental Hero Gaia
2 Elemental Hero Nova Master
3 Elemental Hero The Shining
1 Rainbow Neos
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Steelswarm Roach

The plan's pretty simple, get Fusion Gate out and fusion spam like there's no tomorrow. Chain Material works so well here, pretty much it's a Raigeki that clears either the opponent's grave or S/T; add 2 Elemental Heros from the grave, deck and/or RFG; and you finish with either an Absolute Zero or The Shining still on the field. Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell is teched in to pretty much stop the triple MST or screw around with decks that's main strategy focuses on that one spell card that they run in 3's.

So that's it, I'm working on the side with a couple of Super Polys, Shadow Imprisoning Mirrors, Chain Disappearances, and crap like that.

Got my 2011 tins today :) Came with a free DP10 which gave me a rare veiler, the tins werent especially impressive, barring a forbidden lance and misprint leviathan dragon promo.

@Hobo Joe: Where's your Future Fusion?
Because it's bad in this deck. This deck focuses on recycling the RFG Heros with The Shining or special summoning them with Voltic. Heros in the grave isn't very good compared to banishing them as the only thing that works with Heros in the grave is Miracle Fusion, Ocean, and Monster Reborn.

Have you tried a Super Poly variant of Heros that steals your opponents monsters? They seem consistent and annoying because of all of the new E Hero Fusions coming out. Not sure how the deck plays against a Tier 1 deck though.

I run an E-Hero variant with Super Poly in an online YGO game.

Monsters: (16)
3x Elemental Hero Burstinatrix
3x Elemental Hero Sparkman
1x Elemental Hero Airman
2x Elemental Hero Ice Edge
3x Reborn Tengu
1x Sangan
3x Rescue Rabbit

Spells: (18)
1x Book of Moon
1x Dark Hole
1x E-Emergency Call
1x Heavy Storm
2x Mask Change
3x Miracle Fusion
1x Monster Reborn
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Parallel World Fusion
2x Pot of Duality
1x Reinforcement of the Army
2x Super Polymerization

Traps: (8)
1x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Common Charity
1x Mirror Force
1x Solemn Judgement
2x Solemn Warning
1x Torrential Tribute

Extra deck: (15)
Xyz's
1x Empty Space Serpent Levaiel
1x Evigishki Merrowgeist
1x No. 17: Leviath Dragon
1x No. 39: Utopia
1x Steelswarm Roach

Fusions
2x Elemental Hero Absolute Zeero
1x Elemental Hero Escuriado
1x Elemental Hero Gaia
1x Elemental Hero Great Tornado
1x Elemental Hero Nova Master
1x Elemental Hero The Shining
1x Masked Hero Gouka
2x Masked Hero Vapor

The deck works pretty well and is very versatile. Since I have at least one of each elemental E-Hero fusion, Super Poly is never a dead draw and I can get out of most jams. Rescue Rabbit early enough on usually means 2 Xyz monsters in 1 turn

It's in my side deck because it's pretty much a dead draw against BW and DW, but as i said before the Heros aren't supposed to be in the grave, it relies on Fusion Gate plays with The Shining and Absolute Zero primarily, with Nova Master being used for slight draw power if i need it.

Although, now that I think of it, I might run 2 Tour Guide and a Sangan to do some Leviair tricks.

ok neonian you really need to do something about your moderation team because this is just insane

i need a mod because my opponent cheated, theres one called hydreigoon actively talking in the chat, i pm him for help, and the guy just goes "im busy" and keeps talking in main chat. i tell him about it and he tells me to shut up. like what the fuck dude.

now speaking of yugioh, i made an agents deck but its not doing too well
