NFL WPC '11 WINNER: Mercy

Can't complain too much about 21-10, although picking Chicago every week is probably gonna hurt me in the long run.

Houston @ New Orleans (Feeling that Houston isn't THAT great, probably gonna be close)
NY Giants @ Philadelphia (Vick is the key to this game, if he plays philly wins. If he doesn't well philly is gonna get wrecked)
Jacksonville @ Carolina (Go Cam Go; you can't possibly screw this one up)
New England @ Buffalo (Testing the water with this one, I think Buffalo can do it)
Miami @ Cleveland (Not even gonna bother)
San Francisco @ Cincinnati (Read above)
Denver @ Tennessee (Not gonna lie this is gonna be a good game)
Detroit @ Minnesota (Detroit is gonna lay the hammer down)
Baltimore @ St. Louis (Baltimore won't let Bradford get anything)
NY Jets @ Oakland (meh I hate New York in general. Ghetto match)
Kansas City @ San Diego (you're serious, right?)
Arizona @ Seattle (Seattle still sucks >_>)
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay (Falcons have this one in the bag)
Green Bay @ Chicago (If Chicago had its old defense I'd vote the other way)
Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis (No Peyton, No win)
Washington @ Dallas (pends on how well Romo does. I'll go Dallas anyways)

Only four wrong, that's decent for me (stupid ravens choking and vick getting injured.... grumble...)

I think I was 8-8... In order; win, lose, win, lose, lose, win, lose, win, win, lose, win, lose, lose, win, win, lose.

8-7, not bad. A good starting point me thinks.

Kansas City @ Detroit
Oakland @ Buffalo This is a heavyweight fight here.
Tampa Bay @ Minnesota
Chicago @ New Orleans
Baltimore @ Tennessee
Cleveland @ Indianapolis Come on curse, do you magic.
Jacksonville @ NY Jets
Seattle @ Pittsburgh Could Seattle's defense even cause 7 turnovers?
Arizona @ Washington
Green Bay @ Carolina This one was toughie XD
Dallas @ San Francisco
San Diego @ New England
Houston @ Miami Dolphins going 1-7 at home. Question is, who will they beat?
Cincinnati @ Denver
Philadelphia @ Atlanta If they don't win this, not picking them again.
St. Louis @ NY Giants
Wow, this week really vaulted me up. 14-2 to help me get over the average week 1. 22-9 overall.

Houston @ New Orleans Sorry, but no.
NY Giants @ Philadelphia See above.
Jacksonville @ Carolina Blaine Gabbert or Andrew Luck? The Jagaurs QB decision next year.
New England @ Buffalo
Miami @ Cleveland Miami is probably one of the best winless teams.
San Francisco @ Cincinnati
Denver @ Tennessee
Detroit @ Minnesota Hope I'm wrong.
Baltimore @ St. Louis
NY Jets @ Oakland
Kansas City @ San Diego
Arizona @ Seattle
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay
Green Bay @ Chicago
Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis
Washington @ Dallas The Redskins will win at home however.

Going out on a limb with some picks, been choosing mostly home teams, and it was serving me well.

EDIT: Forgot game was at Chicago for some reason, Bears'll win for me.

Houston @ New Orleans (As good as the Texans are doing, the Saints offense is too strongth, and will pull off the home win)
NY Giants @ Philadelphia (This is a placeholder depending on the return for Vick... If he comes back it's an eagles victory, if not, Giants victory)
Jacksonville @ Carolina (Cam will get his win here, after two strong performances)
New England @ Buffalo (The Patriots offense is nigh unstoppable, but Hernandez may be out, so this could be a potential upset)
Miami @ Cleveland (My brain says Cleveland, but my guts saying the Dolphins will pull this off)
San Francisco @ Cincinnati (San Francisco has been playing well...)
Denver @ Tennessee (I just have a hunch that the Titans will have another strong game like last week)
Detroit @ Minnesota (The Lions creating pressure in the NFC North)
Baltimore @ St. Louis (Strong bounce back game for the Ravens, Rams too weak)
NY Jets @ Oakland (Would've been a harder pick if the Raiders still had Asomugha)
Kansas City @ San Diego (Herpa Derpa)
Arizona
@ Seattle (Seattle trying real hard to out-bad the Kansas City Chefs)
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay (Really hard to not pick the home team here... I may change later this week. Gonna be a good game.)
Green Bay@ Chicago (After thinking this one over for the week, I have to go with the Packers. The match-ups are too good in favor of the Pack)
Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis (Really hard to pick this one too, since... Ah fuck who am I kidding?)
Washington @ Dallas (Romos hurt, Cowboys suck without him, he's only at half playing level, and the Redskins have been hot)

Hey all, retired defending prediction champion here. So I'm not participating this year but I had to post after I saw MULTIPLE PEOPLE picking Buffalo over New England! I can't stand the Patriots at all, but really? Just really? Lol.

As a huge Bills fan, I would still pick Pats over Bills if i was doing this weekly pick thing. HAVING SAID THAT this game should be legit. Bills have the most points scored in the league over the first 2 weeks (yeah inflated by playing the horribad KC, but Oakland is legit) and Pats defense really isn't that good anymore. We probably won't be able to keep up with Brady's offensive fireworks that have been unstoppable as of yet this year, not to mention the Pats' "winning culture" that the Bills still lack, but I think it should be a fairly good game.

As a Patriots fan, I know that this is a prime upset game possibility this week. Fred Jackson is going to tear the 4-3 a new one, which will let the Amish Rifle pick apart the young secondary. A shootout generally goes in favor of the home team, except when it's the Patriots, but they may be missing Hernandez, or his play may be limited this week...

i.e. A lot of iffy things about the game to keep your eye on.

lol oakland is not legit their defense.

they are ranked 23rd in avg yards per play, 28th in pass yards per play and 30th in terms of sacks.

all adding up to a fitz without much pressure aka they are terrible against the pass. pats D isnt the best but its going to be a new world for the bills.

(BTW IM A GIANTS FAN, so nobias)

Uhhhhhhhhh. No. All sorts of no. The Raiders are 4th best against the pass per play, and the Patriots have only one more sack than the Raiders, who are ranked 14th.

Meanwhile they have the worst rush defense in the league, but I have a feeling that number is inflated by facing Fred Jackson. Also, the 4-3 is innately weak to the run, unless they ease off on pass rush. If they ease off on pass rush Fitzpacky has time, etc, etc.

Needless to say... the game is one to watch.

Also, the 4-3 is innately weak to the run
Wait what? You do realize a 4-3 involves 4 down linemen and not 3, making it stronger against the run on paper, right? Not that it always plays out that way, just saying a 4-3 has more fat guys in the way of the RB...
