doug fister has a 2.83 era while ivan nova has a 3.70 era. i know that the yankees face the red sox while the tigers face the.......................indians? so that helps fisters era but i would still much rather have a somewhat experienced man on the hill rather than a rookie in the clinching game of his first playoff series, even if he won game 1.
"My" pitchers? I'm a BoSox fan bro.
I just wanted to comment on the Tigers facing elimination while the Rangers are in the ALCS. I guess a team like NYY would want to face the Tigers and Verlander with his 5.00 ERA in 9 IP instead of the Rangers after all...
Hard to tell, since you defend them both. The Rangers making it in against an opp whose superior pitching staff didn't pitch up to their skill level and got shafted by their own sub average offense doesn't mean they're tougher than the Tigers. It just means they won three very close games. But do you truly want to know something? I bet the Yankees fear Justin Verlander and his 11 ks, holding them to two runs for a majority of the night, and giving his team 8 Innings over CJ Wilson, his five pathetic innings of work, and his 8 ER followed up by by another pathetic lackluster outing by Holland.
hey yo also i forgot about fister
he pitched in fucking seattle until september idiots
a salary cap also forces every (almost) team to uhh "reallocate" money aka restructure contracts. also MLB is the only major sport with true farm systems, hockey has AHL nba has "dleague" but how can you salary cap 6 teams at once? need to fit under the cap? send that guy making 6 million a year to AAA
And I bet you that the Yankees starters fear the Rangers offense more than the Tigers. And unlike ya boy Verlander, that offense is a factor every night.
Offense is useless if you can't outhit your opponent. See: Yankees, New York. We very well will outpitch you.
Promise not to post again if we win the series?
please fucking take the bet
