Media Minecraft Discussion Thread

Somebody needs to build a search mod for recipe books. IDC what recorces it would take to make. I would spend 9 diamonds just to have a way to search faster.

You mean something like this on the wiki, check some more of the see also articles for anything else.
 
Yeah but I hate to go back and forth, would love someone to make a mod that let you search the recipe book while playing the game, Be a real help on the mods that are coming out.
 
Hey listen!

I think it would be good if we could have the ability to fly when building. That way we could make our houses quicker and not have to worry about hurting ourselves.
 
The thing is Master Win, we like keeping our server as survivor/vanilla as possible. There are other creative servers that allow flight, but we aren't gonna completely rule out the idea in case there is something that we need to do for the sake of the server.
 
Ross,im currently working on a diamond finding mod. making everything but diamond and chests the glass texture graphic ( in photoshop) having trouble with some fucked up light shit and falling into huge ravines......

x-ray textures suck you can only see stuff if they are facing out towards a airpocket

Okay seriously, you need to stop. I can't think of a single post you've made in this thread which has actually contributed anything of worth. Please refrain from vomiting your verbal diarrhea until you've learned how to present yourself in a somewhat respectable manner.

So permanent map will be up when 1.9 is out (i.e. full release)? I can't be bothered to play on a server when all my stuff is gonna be lost in about a month :(

I agree with this if you replace thread with forum. Master Win, if you would like to come and post in VGC a few times I will gladly give you the Lurk More infraction that you deserve.

Just to stay on topic, have I missed anything major since dragons and potions?
 
Well, i still have stitty internet, its resets on the 4th, by then Battlefield 3 will be on my computer so, if my internet can handle that game you people will not see me on the server for a while, if it cant............well ill be on the server and grumpy that i cant shoot people online. :D

I thought they stopped development for the time being to work on the upcoming Minecon. I am pretty sure Ive heard something like that, if someone can confirm it?

On a side note:
DONT WRECK MY WHEAT FARM! (Im not accusing anyone if that is the tone you are hearing)
My huge 6 stack of wheat auto harvest farm, is being frequently...not what you would call griefed, but something milder
Feel free to use it and farm all of it
BUT You must replant, it takes 5 minutes for me to replant and if you want your 2 stacks of bread then replant!
If someone falls into my ditch/moat, then clean up when you are getting out.
DO NOT wreck my redstone its happened only once before but it is quite annoying having to find that missing piece of redstone that takes down my whole system
 
So I recently installed Optifine [Classic] in an attempt to get better performance, but it hasn't really gone any higher than 16 FPS max.

Is there a particular configuration you guys would recommend, or other performance-boosting mods?
 
I would just recommend turning off whatever graphics you don't need. I usually set Fog to fast, everything to do with rendering rain off, fast clouds, fast trees, fast debug info, smooth input, and smooth FPS. Did you try the Smooth or Multi Threaded versions? I'm not sure if the difference is huge, but it might be worth a shot.
 
We should do some adventure maps. Every time I join the interim map, it has very few to no people online, so I don't think it would be that big of a deal to do something else with the server. It'd be really fun to just do some adventure maps with these last couple of days with this host (since we wont be renewing it).

Just a thought :>

You know that time Dan put Canopy Carnage up? That whole series is fucking brilliant, search Super Hostile to see the rest. I think it would be cool to do one of them and try to complete it, but last time there was some opposition to that decision and the other map got put back up quite quickly. Idk if it was because we had no prior knowledge that the map was going to be changed or if they just didn't want to do an adventure map, but maybe worth a shot again?

Since it's SMP and we probably want to do one of the open world ones, I'd say Black Desert or Nightmare Realm would be amazing, probably Black Desert since Nightmare Realm has 1.9 features in it. If you guys are down for one of the "linear branching" ones though (think Metroid), Legendary or Infernal Sky II would be the best.
