MetalKid's damage calculator still has a number of problems. I've only played with it a bit but some errors I noticed were items like Twistedspoon only boost by 10% instead of 20%. Light Ball and Soul Dew seem to have no effect. The Plates seem to be missing. Mold Breaker doesn't seem to work. And a few other things.

Yuck. I just got a bad error on that calculator myself (pretty sure Dark Pulse does more than 1HP to Cresselia) What do you think the best D/P damage calculator right now is?

I asked this question before but i wasnt answered.

What effects do hacked pokemon bring to a legit game? Is there a chance it will corrupt? Wont be able to join leagues? Any downside?

I dont hack nor have any hacking device. Just wondering what it would do to your game if someone traded you one without knowing.

Hacked pokemon don't do anything to your game (unless of course it's a bad egg), but the main reason people avoid hacked pokemon is the principle. It's rewarding to know that you have a good, competetive pokemon you spent hours breeding yourself rather than having it made with a program in 30 seconds.

Wait, what does a bad egg do to the game? What exactly is it, anyway? One of my friends has one in his Leafgreen but he doesn't seem to know anything about it.

Nothing, as far as anyone really knows. But since it's an egg, it can't be released, so it's stuck on your game as a mark of lousy sharkery.

Would using an action replay to get to the legenderies, not catch them, be considered hacking?

To get Spiritomb, do you to talk to people on wi-fi(like someone else that owns a DS) in the underground, or just hikers that appear randomly in the underground. Ireally want Spiritomb and would like to know which ASAP.

Wait woah. I thought all the type boosting items remained at 10%, but it was the plates that increased said type by 20%?

Talking to the Hikers don't count towards your total. And, you can only encounter other people in the Underground using DS Wireless, not WiFi.

From OmegaDonut's original research thread: Type-Boosting Items (Charcoal, Magnet, Aruseus' Plates, etc.): Now boost 20% instead of the old 10%.

Question: I currently have a regular DS and am considering to get a DS lite soon and shall rid of my regular DS. Would using the new DS lite cause me to have to change my friend code?

Yes, every time you play the same cartridge in a different DS and go to WiFi you get a new FC.

This has happened to me more than one time with my brother DS. I think it also happens if you do a Wireless Trade/Battle, but I'm not sure about that last.

Hmmm I was afraid of that. Looks like I'll need to update my pearl training card if that happens. I'd rather get a DS lite since it's much more convenient and would probably resolve my wifi difficulties I've been encountering when trying to do trades or single level 100 battles for IV evaluation purposes.

Actually, in the DS options, there is an option to "Transfer Wi-Fi Settings" which is misleading. it doesn't transfer just the SETTINGS but also the WFC ID which means the NEW ds gets the OLD codes and the OLD ds needs to re-register.

That's great news then. Hopefully when I go to make the DS exchange the vendor can assist with that.

Okay, I don't know where else to go with this, so here I am...

I have a Honchkrow with the following stats:
Adamant Male, Lvl. 68 with 226/232/101/145/103/147 stats (hope I did that in the right order, HP-ATK-DEF-SATK-SDEF-SPD).. And EVERY time I go to an IV calculator, it always gives me some error.. I believe metalkid's just straight up gives me errors, while Serebii gives me REALLY high IVs in ATK, DEF, SDEF, and SPD...

My question is... could this bird be hacked? I got it off GTS from a trainer in Japan within the first day or two of me getting my game...

Yes. The use of any device like Action Replay, Gameshark, etc to manipulate the game code in your favour is hacking.

Items, Pokémon the whole shebang is hacking.

No. If you use a cheating device to say, open the Canalave Inn in order to activate Darkrai, and then you catch the legit Darkrai using legit means, it is not hacking. It's just as much cheating as it it to clone, really. It's your Darkrai. There is only one. You just "activated" it. Nintendo cannot disqualify you for using said Darkrai, unless of course Darkrai is banned from the tournament.

Ditto (Impish) - 11-12/0/1-2/29/27-28/29 is what I'd use to breed for a Mence, because you'd probably want 31 speed, which neither have. This one has nice Sp.Atk and Sp.Def though.
