I have a question to ask
I'm trying to RNG a Latios with this seed
PID: 12715a40 (TIMID, ability 0) 30/18/31/30/31/30 (Seed: 5303051d Method 1: 40, J (synch): 23, J (no synch): 25, K (synch): 25, K (no synch): 29) HP FIRE 70
I stand one step before Lance, hit my seed and did 37 advances and I always get a quirky nature which is on frame 39 instead of frame 40. I retry and this time I did 38 advances and I got gentle nature which is on frame 41. I keep trying again for almost a week and the results are always the same, 37 advances will be on frame 39 and 38 advances will be on frame 41. It is either 41 or 39 but never 40. Can someone tell me why?

is raikou and entei roaming? if so, did you note their routes and inputted that on the rng reporter? If yes, did their routes match the ones predicted by rng reporter? What station was playing on the radio, did you tune in buena's password or in serial radio/ pokemon search party?

Raikou and Entei are roaming. The routes are matching with the reporter. Everything is correct except I never hit frame 40. My frame is always off by one.
 
You are recording their routes every time you get to Lance's room? It's possible that one of the times the roamers advanced by 3 frames instead of 2 when you overshot the frame.
 
Does Pandora's Box have any known bugs? I was trying to get PID 77dc683e shiny, put it in, and it gave me 1337/15383. But when I put that combination into Pokégen to confirm it, it wasn't shiny, and when I did another search with the same terms I got no results.

Did you convert your PID to decimal to enter it in Pokégen?
 
Is there any way to pull up HGSS Egg PIDs for any given seed in RNG Reporter? Because I really don't want to hit a delay just for a bold non-shiny PID. :c

I did recording their routes every time I get to Lance's room. The only problem is that I try to get to frame 40 and I do 37 advances and I got frame 39, if I do 38 advances, I got frame 41 and it is always like that
 
how many frame advances does one step forward (no changing directions) do in an area with Pokemon? I want to RNG Gastly in Diamond in the Mansion and my frame is odd

Get a Chatot and record a chatter. Each time you listen to Chatot's cry on the status screen, the frame will advance 1. No need to worry about even\odd frames any more.
 
Ok, I searched through the thread about this, but I'm just making sure that I understand the process:

If I want a shiny Manaphy (from Pokemon Ranger), would I go about RNGing it like this?:

  1. Transfer the egg from Pokemon Ranger to HGSS and RNG it using the PID I abused for in Platinum (using Method 1).
  2. Then trade the egg to Pt and it should hatch shiny with the right IVs (the animation won't be shiny, but when I look at the Summary it will be).
Is this all correct?

Yeah that's what you do.

I was lucky that it's Method 1 because I already had a save file with the spread I wanted shiny...
 
Okay I've got a really stupid one and I can't work out what I'm not adjusting for this. I've calibrated my DPPT to be 537 delay and 14 seconds. I'm consistently hitting the delay, only a second too early. I tried adjusting the calibrated second to 13 and even 12, as well as changing the target sec (which I don't think would have done anything) but i'm still hitting the exact delay a second too early.

Target Seed: D316065A (2012 04 29 / 22:56:39 / 1614)
Seed Hit: D216065A (2012 04 29 / 22:56:38 / 1614)

I'm really consistant in my HGSS delay hitting so I'm not sure what stupid little thing im missing - Was wondering if it had some little trick like the odd/even 3rd gen cartridge in HGSS?

Do everything you've been doing so far, except set the DS clock to one minute later than you've been setting it to. 2012 04 29 / 22:57:38 also results in D316065A.
 
Been away for a while, trying so earnestly to hit a delay of 1909 at 2012 04 27 21:59:10, and almost consistently hitting 1915 instead. And when I put in the hit delay into EonTimer and try again, Bam! 1915 again! I don't know if this cold is just dulling my reflexes or what.

A minute later? The result is only out by a second, am I missing something?

I'll try that other seed regardless and post back, thanks
