Bummer's Art Shack

nice job pumping this out like you did, so fast and neat
Agreed with Pocket and NJ! I'm seriously almost overwhelmed looking at the final image. It's just bursting with life, colour, and personality.
These are awesome art works. I'm not an artist, but I love everything you draw! Good work!
oh you guys

But really though, thanks a bunch. I did surprise myself about how quickly it was to make them, so I'll have to identify the reason behind that development. I probably won't try out all of the styles in my comics, but I feel that I have more under my belt now that I've passed through that challenge.

And with that, I present a new strip:

VRUnJ.png

This is one of my earliest ideas, but I've kept it locked up until I felt confident enough to make it justice. Today I feel is the day!

Oh, and feel free to come up with a title if you want, couldn't really decide on something relevant while at the same time unrevealing.

"Prepare Your Balls" sounds fine to me.
lol, that last panel was so great.

Good stuff to, dude, love the completed memes.

Clearly, it has the ability Imposter.
Totally.

Technically, the strip would work better with Zoroark, since a Ditto wouldn't necessarily revert back to its form when confronted, but I decided against it because A) a whole lot more people knows who Ditto is and B) I hate drawing fur!

Also that the double entendre (intentional or not) sounds a lot funnier when you're talking about Ditto.

While I did some work on Entry Hazard images for Smogon articles, I came up with this:

One of those ideas I thought would make for a quick strip, but ended up being a hassle to draw and also made me insecure about it being good at all. But such is the life I've chosen.

For some clarification, have this video. It should also be mentioned that nowhere in this strip did I specify that it's about moves, but instead entry hazards.

I don't think anyone has posted this yet, but I couldn't help noticing you had:

A TV TROPES PAGE
So I noticed!

consider rewording the first panel. right now i'm reading: "spikes are a decent alternative [to entry hazards]"
Yeah, that's dumb. Fixed it now.

and while I'm posting here, here's a WIP on the current humor MAC.

Today I discovered that I hate drawing waves.

Some feedback for your Entry Hazards comic:

"Entry hazards can be used to great effect to continuously inflict damage. Spikes are a decent choice, as a few layers are enough to cause some serious pain."

Plus, entry hazards don't continuously inflict damage unless they're Toxic Spikes that lead to poisoning. To say Spikes continuously inflicts damage is like saying it does damage to the Pokemon each turn it's in battle, as if it's being hit by residual damage from status or weather. Maybe go with "Entry hazards can be used to inflict damage upon switch-in."

"If there's a need for quicker setup, then Stealth Rock is a
most dependable choice."

I don't think "most" is necessary there.

Still a very clever and amusing comic!

Thanks for the input. Here's the new version with some of your suggestions. One notable exception is that I used "repeatedly" instead of "continuously", but if that's too far from their actual effect, then I might as well reword the first box completely.

also my MAC is finished

I wanted to make an image which could speak for itself, ie no words used. A surfing Aggron felt like a neat choice, although there are other options too, but I picked the steel behemoth because of his enormous weight compared to, say, Rhydon.

I can agree with you to an extent, but if both were swimming, it'd be harder to know it's about the HM Surf. Removing Croconaw altogether could work too, but for once I actually felt it necessary to include something looking at him confused, so I'll stand by my current setup for now. But if more people object, then I can make the arrengements to improve it.

Although the WIP has been sitting there for days.

Croconaw is abolutely necessary; the expression on his face is the encitement for laughter. With him gone, the picture would only be good for an internal chuckle.

I'm kind of confused about what you're planning to do with the wording in the first box, but for the last one,

when all else fails, garden rakes succeed

i also liked 'most dependable', haha x: true, it wasn't entirely necessary, but it adds a kind of strange.. posh.. formality that made it even funnier, at least for me.

still, great work Bummer! I'm sure you'll do amazingly in the MAC.

aww man been a while since I posted something

so to compensate, here's 17 strips:

Explanations will be supplied if needed. This is what happens when I rush my drawings and don't put as much thought into punchlines.

Bummer!

Haha, your hourly comics are an absolute riot. I love how you're still stylish and expressive in your art, even though you didn't have much time to make these. You also have a top notch sense of humor; congrats on making it through the day! You lead a very interesting life, and that's a good thing!

Haha oh wow love all these, saw those comics around before and I didn't know who the artist was so yeah! Love your Forry in the OP too btw, nice shading and he looks cute.
