Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (DS, June in JP, Fall in EU/NA/AU) - Updated May 12th

I'd like to return to Hoenn for the after-plot, but a visit to any other region seems unlikely with the way they have given Black/White sequels.

I just wonder how different B&W2 will be from the originals in terms storyline, map (if anything)and any moveset combinations we may find useful in the competitive side of things.

Makes me wonder. Just a little bit.

For all we know, that was a bluff. If Team Plasma really could release the Pokemon from the PCs, why brag about it for so long when they could have just done it at the command of N or Ghetsis from the very beginning. Would sure make Ghetsis a veritable nightmare if he was the only one in all of Unova with Pokemon.

Maybe the original dragon came on a meteor.

Maybe the giant chasm is where the dragon split and there was an explosion which made the chasm. Later on the villagers needed an explanation for the giant hole and they went with meteor since it makes more sense than exploding super dragon. Just an idea

Makes me wonder if there is also a Reshiram/Zekrom hybrid.....

If there was an original dragon, what if it could have potentially split into 3 forms?
1). Reshi/Zek
2). Reshi/Kyreum
3). Zek/Kyreum

The Tao Trio are the three main components:
1). Reshiram - Truths
2). Zekrom - Ideals
3). Kyreum- ignition required? But how would that explain what my mind is driving me nuts over?

Arrrrrg!! I spent WAY too much time thinking on this =_=

It'd be cool if this was a direct sequel and if they use the same character, that we could connect to black/white and use our teams from that game (scaled down to a not that high level). That'd probably make the game a cakewalk though.
I think it would be cool if you could import your old character (anyone play Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons?) but I don't think it will happen. Like you said, it would make the game too easy. Unless it starts off with BW late-game levels, and scales up from there... but traditionally we start from scratch and battle trainers with level 3 Rattatas.
Actually, that's not a fusion, it's two different pokemon. There have been images of Mantine without Remoraid, and the dex even says Remoraid just rides along Mantine's wings like a remora rides a shark.

Also, Ondore, that was fuckin' hilarious.
We've had plenty of combination Pokemon (Slowbro, Dugtrio, Magneton). But yeah, we've never had two Pokemon cease to exist to produce a new Pokemon.

actually...

Reshiram - Yang
Zekrom - Yin
Kyurem - Wuji (absence of yin or yang, which makes perfect sense.)

Actually it is really both. Yin and Yang are in the (Japanese) species names, but Truth and Ideals are what they symbolize in the story. That being said, the whole idea of Kyurem being Wuji or even related at all is completely unconfirmed and entirely fan speculation. After all, Zekrom is the Black Yin Pokemon and Reshiram is the White Yang Pokemon, but Kyurem is not the Grey Wuji Pokemon. I personally would love to see Game Freak throw us another curve ball and have Kyurem really be nothing more than an extraterrestrial dragon that somehow (Team Plasma?) gets mixed up in things despite not actually being related. The theory that it is just a shell left over never really seemed right to me anyways. But who knows? We shall see.

You have a huge point, however I still think that he's going to be based on wuji, kind of in the same way they're based on energy and shit: Reshiram creates lots of thermal energy and Zekrom creates lots of electrical energy, where coldness and winter is a time where there's a lack of energy. But yeah, I still would love to see a curve-ball like you said.

Kyurem is a zombie...and it needs it's missing energies, Zekrom and Reshiram, to become whole again.
This is why it eats...or ate people from Lacunosa town, for the energy, but since they put up that barricade he now eats Pokemon that live in the Giant Chasm.
Once it gets part of itself, it regains part of if former look as well as taking on the characteristics of the former dragons. Specifically speaking, it's middle body, the gray part, is the part that belongs to the original dragon and perhaps the ice encased shoulder "energy things" that used to be Kyurem's wings.
Then the rest of the dragon is a mixture of Kyurem and the respective dragon. Which makes me think the original dragon was all gray with yellow eyes and looked like a jet fighter...transformer...dragon... thingy...err...yep.

I have to agree that Wuji is most likely what it is, however, if something is wildly different than the expected it would more likely be with the story than the representation. Something like how Team Plasma thinks that because of it representing Wuji that it must be related to Reshiram and Zekrom, but it actually isn't, or something to that effect. But I don't know. I'm just hoping it is different than what everyone is assuming.

Time for some (slightly) structured theorymoning rather than the random assortment of interesting, well-written posts to"ZOMGLOOKHOWMANYPEOPLEAREINHERE!"

Taking the trend from HGSS which took Platinum's Move Tutors and added some moves, let's take the "useful" moves & see what 5th Gen/DW Pokemon would learn them:

Feel free to add to this list. I only filled out Pokemon that came to mind.

Aqua Tail - Serperior, Eelektross

Block -

Bounce -

Earth Power - A lot of things want it. (Serperior) None of them would realistically get it.

Fire Punch - Sheer Force Nidoking, Conkeldurr, Krookodile, Haxorus, Golurk, Tornadus

Gunk Shot - Scolipede. Unlikely but it's the only one that would benefit

Heal Bell - Musharna, Gothitelle, Ferrothorn, Virizion

Heat Wave - Lightning Rod Zapdos

Ice Punch - Sheer Force Nidoking, Conkeldurr, Sawk, Throh, Haxorus, Krookodile, Mienshao, Eelektross, Bisharp, Golurk, Landorus, Tornadus, Meloetta (Poor Gliscor)

Iron Head -

Low Kick -

Magnet Rise - Zebstrika

Magic Coat -

Outrage - MoxieMence

Pain Split - Cofagrigus

Seed Bomb -

Signal Beam -

Sucker Punch - Escavalier

Superpower - Durant, Escavalier, Klingklang, Bisharp, Tornadus

Tailwind -

ThunderPunch - Sheer Force Nidoking, Conkeldurr, Darmanitan, Krookodile

Trick - Xatu, Espeon, Gothitelle, Chandelure

Vacuum Wave - Cobalion, Virizion, Meloetta

Zen Headbutt - Meloetta

And now to add onto that list with new tutors I'd want/expect to see. This is kind of a free-for-all as long as the move wasn't a tutor or TM in the past like Roost was.:

Again, feel free to add to it.

Aura Sphere - Anything and everything that learns Focus Miss

Drill Run - Skarmory, Escavalier

Rapid Spin - Golem, Electrode, Mew, Bellossom, Ludicolo, Solrock, Spiritomb, Scolipede, Lilligant, Ferrothorn, Klingklang, Tornadus

Roost - Poison Heal Gliscor, Braviary, Archeops

Sleep Talk - Cofagrigus

Stealth Rock - Sand Force Hippowdon, Poison Heal Gliscor, Excadrill, Conkeldurr, Krookodile, Carracosta, Golurk, Bisharp, Cobalion, Terrakion, Landorus

Aura Sphere just needs to be more widely available. Fighting-types like Virizion having to rely on a 70 acc move for STAB is just disheartening. The fact that a random Pokemon like Mienshao gets Aura Sphere only rubs salt in the wound. It would be fine if it was exclusive to Lucario & legendary Pokemon, but when Togekiss, Riolu, & Mienshao get it, it really should just become the true Fighting-type equivalent of Surf and be readily available.

With all the Pokemon that learn SR or Spikes, GF has NO reason to be so god damn stingy with Rapid Spin. I've already listed a fair number of Pokemon that could realistically learn the move so the tutor would certainly not go to waste. Spiritomb & Tornadus might be a bit much since they can both dismantle any Spin Blocker in the game, but you get the point.

I think that Kyurem will either actively look for Reshiram and Zekrom to make itself whole, or Ghetsis will try to forcibly capture and fuse the three dragons together to make the original dragon for world domination.

Add to this list Dark Pulse, and Dragon Pulse, the basic Dark and Dragon special moves, which were removed in 5th gen for 2 absolutely useless moves, Incinerate and Frost Breath.

That's his point. It took the Plasma scientists the length of the BW plot to finish the technology/trojan/whatever and they were just waiting for an order, an order that would come from Ghetsis if his master plan ever failed... but Ghetsis had to run once that happened, and the team disbanded without the PC cracking ever occurring.

By the way, Weather Ball and Nature Power wil be Tutors, and the Kami Trio will get them. Fuck yeah, priority Earthquake Thundurus.

Nature Power is always Swift in Wifi battles due to an indoor arena.

Also, I've not seen this on Serebii or anywhere.

However, Weather Ball Thunderus makes him that much more deadly in Rain. An effective 150 power Water attack and STAB Thunder. Yeah.

Maybe Team Plasma actually succeeds in cracking the PC between the events in BW1 and BW2. All your Pokés are gone and you (and all the ingame trainers) have to start all over again.

Does it really take such a short amount of time to localize/translate everything? If it's a new story, I'd imagine the localization team would run into a great amount of work. Perhaps they've already cracked the coding, which might explain the release date coming so soon.

I really hope it's actually a sequel instead of just another third version. You can do it, Game Freak! You can make a storyline that's actually good! Think Mystery Dungeon!

Well, about the Reshiram/Zekrom fusion, I found Masuda Tweeting to this:

Probably it's nothing, but sure it's interesting.

My money goes in that we'll face Ghetsis again and try to find N, or at least we'll meet him. As for travel to another region, not sure about that; Looker said N was seen in a "far place" or something, and literaly all regions are far from Unova (even the spin-off ones). I don't think we can go to Hoenn or something, not this soon.

For those of you without a Google Chrome to translate, the person who posted it outright stated that it was fanart. It was also kind of obvious from how off-balanced it looked, and that it appears to have just been put together from existing pictures instead of drawn anew. However, it's still a pretty cool concept.

Butterfly Dance - Jynx, Lombre, Ludicolo, Gardevoir, etc.

Shell Smash - Shuckle, Blastoise, Pupitar ( XD )

GF would be my best friends if they did this. ><
