League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

The best Vlad game I've ever played, witnessed by Synre and Cath. I did my skin proud, and against a counter lane (Talon) too =D

Had my favorite solo queue game ever I think

(BAN ME PLEASE)S

The interesting part is the story rather than the scoreboard. Around 25 minutes we were down two inhibitors and had a Nexus Turret at < 100 HP (it literally would have died if I hadn't shielded it while I was trying to clear minions with super powerful Janna attacks after a team fight) and we hadn't killed a single out turret. Shit looked pretty fucking bleak, but I'd be taking care during the game to help get the Vayne fed at all costs (for instance, there was a scrum around our Blue where I could have disengaged the fight with my ult like three times but waited and let each of our other teammates die in one for ones where Vayne picked up our kills and only when Vayne was around 100HP did I finally bother to use my Ult to break up the fight), and we ended up stalling long enough to get our inhibs back and won a few teammfights by protecting the fed Vayne and initiating well. Ended up taking baron, winning a few more team fights, and winning the game from what must have been 10-15k+ down(you can see on the end game even after all the turret kills from that point most of us are way behind on gold). Vayne is kind of a special champion that way, but it's kind of fun to have lived through an example of one of those Nexus Turrets survives with nothing and heals up team makes epic comeback from 20 kills and 7 turrets down type games in Solo Queue. Definitely always worth playing it out there if you have any hope at all. It was a fun game too since outside of a couple sloppy deaths earlier I felt like i was really on hitting tornados and ults and shielding/slowing appropriately and stuff, was on a pretty good streak last night/this morning as far as my own play even though it was mostly win one lose one for the team.

The Olaf, if you're wondering, did win his lane super hard early, started off like 5-1 with his second turret down at 15 minutes. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, though...

Free week is up on mobafire, featuring:

Annie
Caitlyn
Kayle
Leona
Malphite
Olaf
Talon
Twisted Fate
Vladimir
Warwick

really wanna try olaf, vlad, talon, tf and cait but i have exams soon and really limited lol time starting tomorrow, riot why would you be so cruel :(

lol Synre. That's a pretty good story, I can see how that Olaf would be mad (not that it justified his little tantrum but w/e). Just wondering but was your team displeased with you when you let them die or did they understand what you were doing?

ETA: Also, yes, that's the rotation up in Korea. STUFF I WANT TO PLAY, SO HAPPY <3 <3 <3 TF and Vlad make me want to break my rule

BELATED ETA2: Upon further reflection I don't think Vladimir breaks my rule exactly... I mean it's like a grey area but he definitely doesn't subvert the SPIRIT of it. Will have to ponder this some more.

I have no idea why Shen was sent mid against me, most of the players in this game were dysfunctional except for Akali (hence the FoN). Mostly won by taking advantage of mistakes like Yi backdooring when four of his team was dead while only one person on my team was dead :x

UGH THAT GAME. i lost 4 games that day to Seruberia playing shitty ad carries - it didnt help that in an allstar game with takashi/jiji/lapakaa they all fed. I think i had one death. I'm not sure x.X

but yeah i'm 2035 and i'm like 0-4 in support at 2k+ but 10-2 in solo lanes (mainly spamming volibear and smashing hashinshin)

i'm already friends with quite a few smogoners but it's been a long while since i've been 'round so if any of you wanna add and play sometimes do it!!

Someone did the math on this, LW is superior when you are hitting targets above a certain thrshhold of armor (100ish iirc), I.e. the targets you should be hitting first as an ad carry.

Actually, it depends, since Vayne and Corki both Scale with the Attack Speed Better than they do the AD. In reality, you're only dealing more Damage with last whisper at 140ish armor, and that's not at all counting the flat Armor reduction you get from Black Cleaver.

I imagine it's a lower threshold for carries like, Caitlyn/MF/Graves/Ashe since they don't scale with Attack Speed as hard as Vayne/Corki/Kog, but I'm not sure how much lower. Regardless, LW is better on Caitlyn/MF/Graves because they're partially AD casters, and the constant Armor Pen is better then a stacking flat reduction in that regard.

Hmm I don't particularly enjoy this free week because I'll have to deal with all the super annoying instalock mid caits. I don't care if she's a good mid (she is) but it's just really annoying. Same goes to Varus. Also I love Vlad but people are going to be grabbing him quite a bit. All the Varus picks would also deny me from learning my AD carry stuff. Oh and I've ran into a few Vlads stacking DORAN'S RINGS and it saddens me. I'm currently at +15 wins/losses and stuff like these still happen it's stupid.

On the bright side, I get to spam the heck out of Ryze to eat up all the free week Vlads and carry the game ^_^.

both vayne and corki with last whispers :chaos::chaos::chaos::chaos::chaos:
they both had IE/BT/PD as an offensive core which is a ridiculous amount of damage. at that phase in the game BC starts losing effectiveness anyway since you can pretty much counter it with a 700 gold investment in a chain vest

i can understand rushing cleaver on vayne as kind of a cheese build to dominate the mid-game and i can understand going for cleaver on corki as a second or third item, especially if you're running a trinity force build, but seeing as they're both running a huge offensive core with standard AD items, most people were fully built or close to it, and both teams had 3-4 people each with roughly 150-200 armor, LW seems the much smarter choice to me.
