So you really think The Tebow will work then? We will see... Still, i would place the Titans before the Jets at this point.
meh
I just think the Jets will get back to the playoffs this year. The Tebow thing might work out for like 2 games or something but meh, not expecting much.

Yeah don't get me wrong, Rex Ryan is an amazing coach(borderline genius) but i don't understand why he put so much trust on Sanchez this year. I don't know him personally but i think he lacks discipline and seems like hes too nice for his own good. Or it appears so. It feels like he doesn't want to hurt Sanchez's feelings or something. Without being cynical i could see Tebow working.... Based on how absurd his role seems to be.

Everyone else is doing it, why can't I? Gonna make some unusual predictions because the NFL is unusual.

Division winners:
NFC

East: Eagles
West: 49ers
North: Bears
South: Panthers
Wildcards: Falcons, Packers

AFC
East: Patriots
South: Texans
West: Raiders
North: Steelers
Wildcards: Broncos, Colts (lol I know)

Now we can all look back at our predictions 7-9 months from now and simply laugh.

Honestly the only way the Tebow gimmick has any chance of working is if they line him up on every play; the main failure of the whole wildcat thing on the professional level seems to be that they always seem to have a designated "wildcat" QB or someone they bring in specifically for that play, which pretty much lets any 3 year old see it coming from a mile away. So if they had Tebow always lining up at like HB or FB, at least that's keeping the other teams guessing to a degree, regardless of how many snaps he does. But of course, that means sacrificing some other position to one potentially of weakness, which just doesn't work that well...

And I doubt they'll ever start Tebow except if/when Sanchise gets injured, as they've invested too much money into him to just simply go to Tebow without a pricey divorce somewhere. Really, the Tebow thing was pure publicity, and to that effect it's working great, they already got Nike and Reebok squabbling again over jerseys before one lost their licensing agreement with the NFL.

Related to a previous discussion:

"Cousins, who a team source tells me the Redskins had as the No. 3 quarterback in the draft behind Luck and Griffin and a second round value, is also an ideal fit in the Shanahan's scheme." (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...ts-selecting-cousins-a-savvy-move-by-redskins)

If the Skins really did have him ranked that highly, it was a good pick - can't just pass up on value like that.
if this is so, then they shouldn't have even traded for griffin, kept all those picks, and picked up some solid pieces to build around cousins... imo

Cousins might pan out to be Matt Hasselbeck.
RGIII might pan out to be Steve Young.

If you ran the Seahawks in like 2004, would you trade Matt Hasselbeck + 2 firsts for Steve Young?

No because Steve Young was retired? o.o

Regardless, that is a very far fetched scenario considering you really have zero idea how either Quarterback is gonna pan out.

Save those comparisons for 10 years down the road. IMO Cousins will be out of the League in 5 years because thats a hell of a lot more likely than him developing into something. Its simply the nature of the NFL.

teams have to go on the intel they've acquired... i mean, to have cousins ranked that highly and still go after rg3... they must have rated rg3 as godlike, once in a decade talent to give up that much with a lesser (but still decent, according to them) QB easily available in the same draft.

This is brilliant!!! Though three things: The Lions will face the 49ers in the regular season. Second, Schaub is overrated. And third, Tom Brady doesn't like losing SBs... He just can't win them without a top 5 defense and an amazing running game.... Oh and that extra "umph" that Bill had access to earlier in his career.

Panthers are going to win the superbowl. Why is this thread even up.

NFC

East: Eagles
West: Niners
South: Falcons
North: Packers
WC's: Bears, Giants

AFC

East: Patriots
West: Chargers
South: Texans
North: Steelers
WC's: Ravens, Bengals

Too lazy to write a playoff scenario, but I say Pats/Packers for the SB.
