The Official "Complain about being beat by Seattle Defense" Thread

Went 4-0. I hope Morris stays the starter in Washington (lol like that will happen) because my main team will either run him or BJGE at RB2, and I'm still not too high on him.

What do you guys think about a trade of Peyton Manning and Dez Bryant for Alex Smith and Darren Sproles. I'd be receiving manning and Bryant

Lawfirm put up solid stats against the Ravens, a notoriously difficult run defense, so you can trust him. I'd play him over any Redskins RB any day.

I proposed that trade because I honestly don't need 2 solid quarterbacks who never get injured in Tom Brady and Jay Cutler. Also, it was an autopicked team since I was on a trip so I never actually got to draft people, so I'm just improving my team as I see fit I guess. Ryan Mathews and Tom Brady for Forte is fine by me because of this. Also, I definitely do not need Jacquizz Rodgers, as I have a lot of depth as it is anyway due to it being an autopicked team -_- I'm just trying to improve myself at one position because having a team with a lot of depth obviously doesn't work as well in fantasy football as having a team with a bit less depth and better players.

EDIT: Also, for future reference or when this trade goes through (it should btw, since clearly I'm happy, he's happy, and he has RG3 and Newton anyway so not like getting Tom Brady is going to make him insanely better), if I get traded a player on Saturday when they played on Thursday, do they get sent to my starting lineup and do I get the points from them? Or do they go to the bench and I get the points?

The Bullets may have been autodrafted but I might put up respectable numbers this year? I am laughing at my RB situation though...

Pretty sure those players get locked, and the trade won't get completed until tuesday.

At best, they're locked on the bench and you can't start them.

I was auto drafted, but I made some moves over the waiver and ended up with the highest point total in my Smogon league (148). That was probably because Nate Keading went on fire though. I'm content with my team though, just not my depth options when people get injured or have byes.

On an unrelated note, I've got RGlll and Newton in a non-smogon league. I figure if anyone other than Vick will get injured its Newton and I'd need another QB. Any idea who to start this week?

i have zero depth at RB, and there's no one worth picking up on waivers.

just gotta hope my money guys go big each week.

Ugh, that's the worst that is.
I'm fortunate enough to be stacked at both WR and RB this year. I've also got both Peyton Manning and Matt Stafford. Of course it's only a 10 team league, so that's not so difficult, especially with an abundance of WR's this year.

yeah fucking 14 person team this year.

I'm in a 20 man league and this week the guy I'm playing has Rodgers and Jordy Nelson and I have GB Defense and Mason Crosby. He's being trolled so hard by this game. The punter threw the TD pass, lol. Especially because this league gives QBs -1 for a sack. He has like 4 points to my 18 at the half. Since Rodgers is his big player I'm looking pretty good even though the week is only 1/32 of the way through.

I fully expected to be losing after this game in my money league, going up against Marshall and the Packers with only Cobb... but I did not expect it to be only due to the Packers defense!

I got the same two QB's in my smogon league and I'm going with Newton, I am a little confused who to start though cause I don't know how legit RG3 is!

Why the fuck was our trade vetoed? Both sides were fucking happy, check this goddamn thread........that is such a dick move Lakers.

Stop playing god, it's not like I ripped off a rookie or someone who doesn't know who each player is. He clearly knows what he's doing, so whether you think it is a horrible trade or not, both parties were pleased so you need to just back off and let it happen.

Im vetoing this trade until everyone else in the league responds. Considering someone already emailed me telling me how bad of a trade it was in the league, its staying veteo'ed until its voted on. It doesnt matter if "both sides are happy" this trade is by far one of the worst I've ever seen... Hes trading a top 5 QB and a RB thats arguably better than Forte, along with another RB who could be starting soon all for Forte....

And im not playing "god" MS, you clearly are getting the far better end of this deal no matter what QB's you may have on your bench. I already let people know about it in case they didnt see the trade, so if they dont have a problem with it then the trade will go through... This tradde would've only reflected both of your lineups for week 3 anyway

The running back heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!

Consider Bush in league C and Bush/Spiller in the angelbunni league officially on the market, as it were. For the right price, of course.

(If you haven't heard, Forte probably has a high ankle sprain... lucky for ShakeItUp?)

I just traded Calvin Johnson + JStew for Forte + Shonne Greene two days ago in my friend's league.

:evan:

Meh, guess this trade won't go through then sadly, since apparently no one wants it for some retarded reason. I'm fine with it, and I honestly don't know why any of you care if I'm supposedly fucking over my own team (which I'm not), but meh, w/e. Also, I don't mind if Forte has an ankle sprain now (I already knew that yday); he'll get better later when I need him.

Let everyone respond......I just think that vetoing is more to prevent people who are throwing games or trades as lopsided as Blaine Gabbert for Arian Foster when one player clearly has never played fantasy. If two players are truly happy with the trade, what everyone else thinks doesn't and shouldn't meant shit. Everyone wins a trade, and with Mathews being even more injury prone then Forte and Brady not even being an outright improvement over Newton for fantasy purposes, this trade isn't as absurd as some of you are saying. So I ask once again Lakers, just let this go through and don't try and control peoples decision making. I remember in the first year that you allowed me to trade Steve Smith for Chris Johnson in his 2k year and that was much worse then this deal.

As someone who isn't even in that league, just because the two people involved are happy with the deal doesn't mean it's not a crap deal. I've seen plenty of times where people trade the farm away for a player they like or a player from their favorite team. They're obviously happy with the deal but it's still shit.
