List with the most used Pokemon in the new metagame, based in the RTM Subforums

Will you update this list sometime in the future?

People probably use Skarmory and Milotic since they're "Old Reliables", and Cynthia's Milotic is a pain to kill (my Level 100 Palkia still can't OHKO Milotic with Spacial Rend; I bring Giratina as a failsafe if Milotic uses Mirror Coat).

True? My Infernape killed her Milotic with 2 Close Combats, and he was at level 55 or so

Dan Dan, props to you for using Relicanth.

I am planning on using it soon in conjunction with a Jolteon Agility Passer or a Gliscor Rock Polish passer. Head Smash + STAB + Rock Head = win.

Got a link to your team?

Oh yeah, on topic:

A lot of this doesn't surprise me, but you are made of win because you took the time to do this. Seems like something I would do.

X_X Long summer days.

Sure. Next month wait an update (I´ve done 59 pages, so, I´ll know where to start to count).

Hey thanks for doing this btw, I scanned through this thread and I didnt notice anyone saying it, but this is really useful!

Ok, there was someone like two posts up, but I hadnt noticed there were two pages..

Have a nice day.

Sweet, my one and only tentacruel is the last one on the list. I'm pretty surprised dusknior's been on so many team, and what's up with only 10 celebi uses? I thought he was being considered for uberdom along with manaphy, but i guess he really isnt that popular.
Anyways, great job on the list. How long did it take to make?

I'm the only one who uses Honchkrow, and thats a shame

Anyway, the 6 most common Pokemon I have seen in battles(in order)

Blissey
Garchomp
Salamence
Metagross
Tyranitar
Gengar

Besides Starmie the top 10 are all physical, with Blissey sitting on top by a HUGE margin. If she were banned I bet a ton of special attackers would actually see some use- overcentralizing the metagame much?

The way I see, people just aren't using special attackers that require set up enough. If we started seeing Calm Minding Celebis or Nasty Plotting Azelfs/PorygonZ's flying around, Blissey wouldn't be nearly as popular or effective.

I say give it more time before we judge special attackers as not seeing enough use, since all the aforementioned pokemon are extremely hard to obtain with usable natures on WiFi; once we start getting a steady flow of Timid Azelf's and the like, we'll start seeing people using them more in the RMT forum.

To be truth I can't believe there are still Umbreon users :O

Same with Vaporeon, I thought that it wasn't to do anythin' this gen because of many stuff 2KOing it, but well maaaany things are 2KOed this gen!!

Maybe I'll take a look to see what is the common Sets that are being used by the TOP 10 Used Pokemon, in order to see what Blissey is more popular, the Old Standard, Sing Blissey, Calm Mind Bliss or some hybrids :O

I would find the opposite to be true, where special attackers like Azelf and Raikou are so easily walled by Blissey that they get cut from teams. Btw, when using a synchronizer a Timid Azelf isn't that hard to get, really.

On the other hand, how easy is it to wall Outrage Garchomp? Blissey walls special attackers way more effectively than any physical wall stops physical attackers. Therefore the metagame is flooded with physical rather than special sweepers.

Why do people use Outrage on Garchomp? They might as well use Giga Impact while they're at it.

What can survive two Choice Banded Outrages from a Garchomp?

The answer is not a very long list, which is why Outrage is sometimes used on Garchomp.

Outrage = 120 BP x 1.5 STAB and happens both turns. Only resisted by Steel
Giga Impact = 150 BP with no stab, leaves you without attacking next turn, and is resisted by ghost/steel/rock

Outrage is a great attack. If you underestimate it... good luck.

EDIT: I also find it strange that I've seen a lot of Gyarados, but no Electivires.

I have limited experience (about 10 battles), but I've highlighted the ones I've fought. The most popular of those seem to be:

Blissey
Tyranitar
Gyarados (probably the most popular that I've seen, other than Salamence)
Salamence (I probably fought at least three at this point)
Gengar
Skarmory
Bronzong

Oddly enough, I haven't encountered more than one Weavile, and I haven't seen as many Garchomps as I would have expected.
I have found much of the same, and i am simply concluding that the only reason we arnt seeing as many electivires for example is simply because they are using their eved 3rd gen pokemon, which they didnt have to labor for since wi-fi was realsed. As we break further into this generation i would expect that to fix itself.

It would be pretty interesting if Blissey was banned.

Perhaps there should be some sort of "ban" metagame, where 2 or 3 random highly-used Pokemon are banned for 2 or 3 days, then it switches. =P

If you look at the list, below Blissey there is nothing that much higher than the poke below it. The jump from Blissey to Gyarados is huge (70), but from Gyarados to Dusknoir much smaller (30), and so on. Which says to me Blissey is the only one overcentralizing the metagame.

I think banning Blissey alone would bring a lot more variety to the sweepers people use.

Loling at only 17 Manaphy uses. That thing is a serious threat to teams yet no one uses it?

Chances are a lot of people don't have it. If you want to make it more popular, do a Manaphy giveaway.

Speaking of giveaways, thanks for the Jirachi! :)
