woooooo, some of the headliners are kinda shit but the supporting line up rocks. of the ones that ive seen before john digweed, maya jane cole, laura jones, diplo, seth troxler, guy gerber and flux pavillion are all fucking good live. obviously sasha, john dahlback etc will kick ass

The Avalanches are an Australian music group, the two videos above being the lead single and full album of their 2000 debut Since I Left You. Listed the tenth most influential album of the decade by Pitchfork. They really shine in the track on the left, but the whole album is both seamless and innovative all the way through. If you have the time, it's a great feel-good album to put on when you need a lift in spirits.

They've yet to release a sophomore album, but have reportedly been working on one since 2005 or so.

Another more ambient electronic music producer I'm a fan of is Solar Fields, all 10 of whose albums are entirely seamless as well. Works wonders to get you 'in the zone' for writing or focusing heavily on other projects. He also composed the soundtrack to Mirror's Edge.

Yeah, Mirror's Edge was how I found him. The soundtrack's a really nice album as well.

okay if any of you New York area people went to Electric Zoo, that was the greatest electronic music festival ever. Am now the biggest EOTO fan EVER.

ugh you lucky fucker. me and my friend were desperately trying to find a car to go, but you need to be 25 in ontario to rent a car, and I'm not on my family car's insurance until the fifteenth.

Epic bump, but check this mix out I made. I'm posting this because almost everything I've shown in this thread is trance, electro or commercial house. This is almost tribal sounding, and is what I'd classify as "tech house". Percussion driven baselines are what define the genre. This is one of my most creative mixes I've made to date despite the fact that I did it as I was getting ready to go clubbing. At certain points, there are 2-3 tracks and 4 samples playing at any one time! I've blended some tracks so much that even I can't tell where some begin and some end haha, which I think is pretty cool. Anyway feedback/comments are always appreciated!

Any recommendations of YouTube channels uploading good electronic music? I'm currently subscribed to Liquicity and MrSuicideSheep (and their relating channels), and those both upload a variety of electronic, ranging from glitch hop to liquid DnB and dubstep to ambient. I highly recommend checking out both channels if you are into the 'chill' sort of music.

Not exactly a channel but [warning super pretentious name incoming] home of post dubstep, future garage and all things bass music 'blogs' a lot of good stuff. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but they/it posts links to a wide variety of electronic music, which show up in your sub feed, mostly what I'd call idm

gave it a listen even though its not really the kind of electro i would normally listen to, as I generally prefer more low-key chill stuff, and am not that keen on he more upbeat stuff. But I really liked it, and I managed to get through the whole thing so that must mean something haha. Its pretty decent for something you seemingly threw together. anyways, keep up the good work :)
