2012/2013 Soccer/Football thread

Man Utd were not at their best today. No desire and no energy. I'm used to see them flood the opponents penalty box and cross the ball but it didn't happen today.

on another note, i hope wigan win the whole thing :D
 
Yeah in your fucking face red devils! Beautiful finish by Ba and a great pass from Mata. They really should have been more clinical though. Most of their other efforts were either over the bar or easy saves. But screw that! Bring it on City!
 
i wish my season was over, we've lost a few on the trot and are now 5 points off relegation

might have to take up this religion thing
 
Isn't practically the whole Championship 5 pts or so from relegation? Vicious league... I don't think you have to worry too much about relegation, one more win and a draw or two should see you safe - or you might bounce back with 6 wins and make play-offs, who knows!
 
hes a bit of a sausage if you ask me

that being said, our players not being right good this year hasn't helped him one bit

edit: yeah NLI, the league is mental! anything could happen i suppose
 
Aston Villa U19 won the Next Gen Series 2012/13 (final against Chelsea). At least something to be proud of this week.
 
Yeah just saw that. Really huge congrats to the Villa youths; Arsenal were knocked out by Chelsea in the semi-final and it's great to see British teams dominate the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Inter Milan etc. Great coverage of the tournament too, at least on the Arsenal website lol!
 
I think he meant the fixture congestion in general, for both teams. Defo made for a boring and slow first half.

Also QPR is down right? If they win at Wigan they might have some hope to cling on but they're as good as gone now right... I also can't see any more victories for Sunderland, they've lost Fletcher, Cattermole, Cuellar and I don't know who else but basically all their best players are injured and they can't buy a goal right now.

QPR, Reading, and probably Sunderland because Villa and Wigan are in decent form right now

Anyways, rumor has it West Ham is going to make a 17 million pound bid for Carroll. Allardayce wants him to stay in the team. As a liverpool fan, I think the best would be to accept the bid and re-invest in a good CB. Not williams or shawcross tho. How do you feel about this as a Liverpool fan or as a West Ham fan?
