usually, my teacher said, there's a DBQ about the 20th century, and the two open essays are: one about the 1800s and one about anything before that.
also, physics B was a joke
I don't know about you, but I found the multiple choice much more arduous than the essays(not necessarily harder). Those freaking questions were like reading comprehension more so than bio! Even the answers were reading comprehension. It was really quite ridiculous. But once you get past that, I really didn't find too hard.
I had previous experience with the grid-in questions and their types, so it was really easy. The last one pissed me off because you had to do so much just to read the graph and do something super simple, affirming my claim of reading comprehension.
Essays were pretty easy in my opinion. Sure there was a lot of writing, but in the end I found them to be okay. Chi-square was a piece of cake(mainly because we covered it for like one day in class), and for the XYZ cell I said the Z cell was a storage cell and that it was one large vacuole.
The one question that really made me laugh that made me laugh was the second part of the carbon-energy question. I had to resist being sarcastic on the test. "Hmmm, something that can perform photosynthesis and cellular respiration....Oh I don't know.......a plant?"

But yeah the only AP im taking is apush since im a junior and dumb as rocks at math and sci [so basically in general lol] but im hoping to rock it and get a 5 although myself and most of the class have sort have been slacking up until this weak since the ap questions are markedly easier than the tests our teacher gives us, doing some terms and practice quizzes as i type this. Does anyone happen to how exactly it's scored [or a good calculator since the one i found seemed kind of off]? Ie, can I get a 5 with like 80% of the multichoice and 7s/8s on the essay, i'm shooting for a 90% on the mc [only 8 wrong] but again I haven't studied a whole lot so I'm not entirely sure how realistic a solid 90 is.

I think you want to be fairly solid with the 1800s since it's essentially the most tumultuous period for the US growthwise and shaped how it came to be, the review book I has also says the multichoice is split up into 17% Colonial|50% 1800-1915|33% 1915-and they split up the 2 essays into before/after 1865, honestly you probably want to know about the eras in which the presidents were strong and influential [Washington (with Hamiltons influence), TJeff, Jackson, Lincoln, Teddy, Wilson, FDR, Truman, Nixon] stuff like Coolidge and Hayes probably wouldn't show up on an essay since they werent very assertive as president and didnt shape a lot of stuff, also late 1800s/early 1900s is a goldmine between Industrialism, Agrarian Revolt, Progressivism and WW1, I'm half expecting something from the progressive era.

Hmmm... everybody don't be too worried about the APUSH exam. It's not too hard to score well. I got a four and I didn't know anything about U.S. History. Furthermore, I ran out of time on the multiple choice, bubbled A for the last 20 questions (I'm not exaggerating I swear), and fell asleep for the essays upon writing a page each for all of them. Also I suck at school in general. So as long as you prepare adequately, you should score fine. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY! :)

Physics C should be outlawed by the Geneva convention. The Mechanics multiple choice was just not finishable in 45 minutes, and then the last free response took difficult to a new level.
I finished the E&M multiple choice pretty quickly, but that's because I used this little-known test taking technique called "wtf guessing" in which I look at a question, realize that it could be written in fucking Klingon and still be no different, and bubble in a letter that I haven't used in a while. The first free response was just the College Board teasing you, saying "don't worry, you're in the clear. The worst part is over, I bet you can get all fifteen points on this one!" then ramrodding you with two of the most abhorrent, unconscionable questions imaginable. Gauss' fucking Law strikes again, assuming you had time to even get to that one after the abomination that was Question 2. Or you just skipped 2 and use Guess' Law to hopefully get one or two points on the third one.
Don't take Physics C. This shit doesn't happen, electricity works because there are wizards in the power plant, and honestly if you put Maxwell's Equations and Egyptian hieroglyphics next to each other I wouldn't be able to tell which is which.
Magnets. God only knows how they work.

One of my friends advised me to put C for every question I guessed (Gaussed?) on.

I guess it it's a good thing my college won't let me skip Gen Physics even if I somehow pulled a 4. Definitely wasn't as prepared as I could have been.

i think everyone knows by now i took u.s. and comparative government today...needless to say they were both super easy (like even easier than apush lol) and the free response questions are each answerable in about 3 sentences so i ended up finishing an hour early. that part kinda sucked.

Euro was boring. They give way too much time. This didn't mean the MC was easy because they were mostly random facts about people or events that you know or don't know. No reasoning or anything like that. There were good options for the essays but since there were three of them it was a bit tedious. Must be great for the english people writing 20 essays in one sitting. Luckily with the 2 hours plus some 15 minute reading it was easy to write a paragraph, put my head down for 5 minutes, and repeat until everything was done. So if there's any advice about essay based AP tests, it's to bring a pillow. I chose essay 4 and 7, about the sciences and about the authoritarian regimes respectively. Not too worried about score since only like 50% is needed for a 4 or better.

MC were maybe slightly harder than I expected but the easy DBQ more than makes up for that. I wrote 4 pages on the dbq when I usually barely got 3 on the practice ones.
Shout out to the multiple choice question about the indian reorganization act of 1934 with the answer d being "it allowed indians to build casinos." It's even funnier because there are definitely people in our country who picked it.

apush was easy. i knew a LOT more of the multiple choice than i had expected; i feel like i got about 90% on that from counting my answers up, which sounds kind of out there (which makes me nervous!). definitely didn't get less than 80% though. the essays were easy but i just felt like i didn't answer the questions very well.
for the DBQ i put a) legislation (c of 1820/50, fugitive slave act, northwest ordinance acknowledging that slavery was wrong by banning it but still allowed in south, led to greater problems and fugitive slave act especially angered north) b) changing society; women took place in reform (ie abolition), 2nd great awakening, awakening to evils of slavery and c) racism fueled desires of some to get rid of slaves (lowering the class of society).
i picked essay 3 and 5. for 3 i wrote about how g.w. wanted US to be neutral but we ended up getting involved in a lot of stuff to try to not get pushed around (xyz, w of 1812, embargo act). for essay 5 i wrote about blacks finally rising from their oppression since most were too poor in reconstruction up to post-war to care about politics and new passionate leaders Lighting the Fire, and on the women i put stuff about how they got the taste of freedom with jobs and independence while men were gone in ww2 and then feminine mystique inspiring feminists. put in roe v wade and equal pay act. maybe i'm just being nervous but i feel overall it was a pretty easy test.

thank goodness
but it wasn't that hard, and though the MC were just random trivial crap questions, the essays were surprisingly easy (i did 4 and 5) and the dbq was easy

Feel the same way, I also picked 4 and 7. The MC was decent but like you said it was more about whether you knew it or you didn't, nothing really to analyze from knowledge. I would be kinda disappointed with a 4, I really want that 5.

seriously, you can write a shitballs essay and still get a 6 or 7 the way the rubrics are set up, or you can write an essay that made god cry tears of awesome and get a 2
I was stressing out badly for the APUSH exam since I literally did not learn anything about US History all year. To put it into perspective, I did not know anymore about US History from when I walked into the room on the first day of school than a month before the exam in April. I really wanted to get a 5. So as a drastic measure, I read 80% of the American Pageant... Got to chapter 36 on the Sunday the weekend of the exam. On the last day, I got the Crash Course book off of Google Play and reviewed it for 7 hours the days before, an 1 and a half in the morning...
When I finished I felt like I got a five. The APUSH DBQ was super easy and unlike last year with Euro, I did get to finish all of my essays and with time to spare. One weird thing I noticed about this APUSH exam is that it seemed to have more 1970+ questions than the review books indicated.
