League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

jeb always with the endless cycle of league > random mmo > back 2 league

also what is thorns list in reference to? fave champs or something

yeh sorry i haven't played much ff14 jeb, i prob can this weekend :3

I TAKE IT BACK there's a strong chance that flame is going to stay on blaze. makes me sad cause i wanted to see a cj entus super team :(

also ugh why isn't ranked 5s tournament draft yet? graphics card crashes my entire computer, come back to see that the shitty opposing team has taken baron and three inhibitors when it was still laning phase when i disconnected.

ace them twice as they push nexus getting quadra kills both times then lose because you actually can't win when you lose three inhibs

basically the entire league client is really shitty and i wish they'd do simple stuff like putting in a pause in ranked 5s before changing the options menu

i have to say, with the way skt just dominated those finals, it makes me think that korea as a region really does outclass all the other scenes by a considerable amount. faker and co. only dropped 1 game total to all non korean teams and the only ones that gave them a run for their money were sword. i mean royal was huge coming into this, they knocked out omg AND fnatic, then skt shit on them 3-0. that says a lot. these guys definitely deserve the title of best team in the world...though it really makes me wonder how it would have been if kt bullets had beaten skt in those qualifiers xD

Didn't you hear what faker said? He said he came to worlds thinking they could breeze it, but after several scrims, realized that the rest of the world aren't so far behind skillwise (specificially noted TSM in the interview).

I'm still a bit disappointed that the finals ended in a 3-0, but I'm glad that out of all the Korean teams, SKTT1 won (Ozone was a phony and NJBS was too mysterious and no longer has Maknoon). Faker made it clear that his team should also receive part of the praise and I like that humility in him. And let's be honest, they deserve it.

that's called being diplomatic.

Honestly you would think AT LEAST after the second game Royal would either ban or snipe Jax in.

I was rooting for the Korean hype train myself, though it would've been awesome to see the underdog win. They sort of had the right idea in the first two games, but the third match was absolutely pathetic on Royal's part.

To be fair on Royal, they had the right idea teamcomp wise on game one and two (though sadly Rumble got harassed so hard in top lane and he didn't have the best timing on Equalizer). That's just my perspective, though.

Impact is a pretty scary Jax player, but it was awesome to see my favorite champ in all 3 matches (J4 hell yeah!) I learned a lot just by watching finals and hope that I can use that knowledge to improve and maybe climb up ranked in S4.

if you think faker actually thinks the rest of the world is close to korea then you're just buying into his pr

kkoma has shittalked every other region for an entire season, and he's probably feeling really smug now that he knows he was right

imho the only teams in the world that could have possibly taken more than 2 games off SKT this tournament are OMG, NaJin Sword, KTB, and Fnatic on a good day.

Royal also had a tiny shot at beating them but they really needed to bust out the cheese. SKT isn't good at coming back from large deficits in the early game, and Royal is the cheesiest team in China. Instead, they played standard, lost every single lane, and got pubstomped.

Except this tournament proved that Korea is not so far ahead of everyone else. They're still #1 in my books and is really only competed by China, but never out of reach for any region to claim the glory.

OMG tied w/ SKTT1 in groups
Fnatic crushed Ozone twice but was defeated once by Vulcun
Ozone was also known as the only team that managed to beat SKTT1.
Gambit got far in the world stage without really having a lot of time to mentally and physically prepare.

and heck, even though this doesn't count for much, TSM strategically outmaneuvered SKTT1 in their first encounter (and then a terrible execution caused the whole plan to wither and die).

WC gonna start : "Koreans are the best, everything else is shit, faker so good"
WC starts : "Okay nvm, Koreans not so good, everybody has a shot, hype train noobs"
WC ends : "We all knew it, Korea so good, everything else is shit"

It's not a hype train, it's a hype rollacosta.

Koreans are still way ahead of everyone. Ozone was trash and there were many signs that the current patch ruined them, just wasn't that obvious at the time. No one knew anything about sword and skt lost to omg. This caused the hype train to stop for a little bit. But if you knew anything about skt1 you would know that they always lose game 1 and adapt later.

Imp refused to play corki, dade was a mess and looper only played two champs. Najin sword had a lot initial hate because of not making it past group stage at ogn, but if you watched ogn you would know why this happened (pray trolling with draven + having the hardest group ). Najin is a team with a ton of potential but people were too stupid to realize it ( tri force meta greatly boosted their team where for ozone it ruined it ). Funny how reddit says najin vs skt was the real final when najin got so much hate before worlds.

Also people don't realize that KT b is a god Korean team that's like on the same level as skt1 but didn't even go to worlds.

Anyways that ends my drunk Korean rant about why the hype train thing was stupid. People who truly pay attention to the Korean scene know the truth.
