Anyone trying to argue it was defensive PI is delusional, it was definitely defensive holding and there should have been another play from the 13 yard line. If you think Gronkowski could get anywhere near the pass (dear god was it a shitass pass, some have speculated it was intentionally shitty to try to draw a penalty but I think it just happened to be awful) even if it were just him and Brady on the field you are out of your mind.

I thought it was Defensive Holding before the ball is in the air, and PI once the ball has left the QB's hands? When you watch the replay, the ball is clearly in the air and more than halfway to its target when Kuechly begins to contact and hold Gronkowski. My understanding of the rules puts this firmly in the realm of pass interference.

Regardless, the Patriots still were going to lose because Gronk was not making that catch, so the end game result is the same. To win consistently in this league, you have to avoid putting yourselves in situations like this. Take care of business before the last play, because everyone knows anything can happen.

They had to convert consecutive 4th downs or something? I mean if they were going to win, going on a 2/8 run made it nearly impossible. Even going 3/8 4/8 would have gotten them down the field soooo much faster and left so much more time on the clock to calm down near the end zone.

Guys guys, arent you excited for snf when the greatest quaterback of all time faces brady at his home??? This is more interesting than in years past(most brady-goat games are actually boring as hell). However this year it's completely different with neither team having a defense so a shootout is about to go down. Plus this will be the 2nd best qb peyton faces this year(romo>brady) so we might see peyton and the broncos go all out. Unlike the past two weeks when they faced crap teams and just phoned those games in.

This is the part where i'd predict a blowout, but this is brady. And just like romo, he deserves more respect. It'll be an easy win of course, the broncos being the most talented team in the game bu a mile, but i have no doubt it could go either way. With denvers fumbling like crazy of course.

Can we take a moment to remember the anniversary of the most saddening assassination in American history? On November 22, in broad daylight in one of America's greatest cities, a very famous individual was gunned down in front of thousands of his most ardent followers.

I'm talking, of course, about Mark Sanchez's self-dignity. Today is the one-year anniversary of the Butt Fumble. Hop into your NFL DeLorean and relive the most entertaining sports moment of the century.

The weight of the Broncos donking on the Patriots will be too much to bear for ol' Lady. Then again, they do run a 3-4.

Let's remember that Peyton is not nearly as good in cold weather, and it's supposed to be 25 degrees at game time on Sunday =P

I hope it snows.

...has the nfl decreed that the officials can not call kuechly for a foul in the endzone? im on the fence about the one against the pats last week but he just absolutely demolished a defenseless receiver helmet to helmet in the endzone against the dolphins and they picked up the flag... again...

let's talk about how wake had a helmet to helmet on cam that was much worse that went uncalled and could have given cam a concussion. he was spitting out blood after the hit and has looked lost and slow ever since. let's talk about that, OR how the miami defender bear hugged ginn on that fair catch and there was no call

It didn't even appear his helmit his the guy. FFS.

I can't comment on most of the stuff that happen during the Panthers-Dolphins game because I missed the first half, but lets all give a round of applause for Newton's performance on that late hit call. Even Chris Bosh was jealous of that flop.

And yay a tie!!!

I know Geno Smith is a joke, but God our defense is good. Pity about dat offense, throwback to the old Ravens.

Hahahahaha Texans and Falcons duking it out for first pick...

let it be known that, at the very least, the 6th wild card team is not the Jets.

I think San Diego is the best of the mediocre, and them and Pittsburgh have probably the easiest schedule of the 5-6 teams. A lot hinges on Thursday's Ravens-Steelers and Sunday's Chargers-Bengals.

Chargers are easily the best of the "outside looking in" teams. They've had multiple losses within three points and another OT loss. They could just as easily be 7-4 if they learned how to close games, and at best, 9-2.

Chargers are definitely not easily the best of those teams - they simply have the best quarterback. The Dolphins are a better team, the Jets might be a better team, and Steelers are about the same in terms of being a bunch of fuckups being saved by a QB (I know people were mad at Roethlisberger's start to the season, but boy did he get back to his absolute best). Rivers is simply chasing the single season completion % record, he has done an amazing, literally unparalleled job. Their defense is tragically bad, like worse than Jacksonville bad http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef

Geno Smith is incredibly inadequate for the job he has to do. Since Ryan is better at defense than offense in the first place, maybe he causes his QBs to look this bad. Either way that all makes for a train wreck.

Locker went down not once but twice iirc? He was looking good early season, and things kept going south. Titans never had a fair chance in that regard, and their statistics on paper are worse on both sides of the field due to this instability and due to Locker not getting a chance to get a comfortable grasp on this season.
