Need help with the EV Spread and nature on a stall-ish Dusclops. Here's what I'm going with so far.

Dusclops @ Eviolite

EV Spread:

-Hex
-Infestation
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Split

Thanks in advance!

I have this stupid horsea who REFUSES (or it's my freakin luck) to get 6 ivs. My desired kingdra build is this:

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Hydro Pump/Surf
- Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse
- Waterfall
- Rain Dance

What iv can I leave unmaxed so he can still be used effectively? I have 3 horseas with 5 ivs each one, they all have "outstanding" in the iv rating: one without hp, one without def and one without speed.

You can lose SpD if you're running Rash

Dusclops sucks. Use something like trevenant or sableye
First off, Dusclops is in my top 10 favorite Pokemon, so I would like to use him. Secondly, he's not too bad at all. With Eviolite equipped, I've heard that both of his defenses can reach upwards to 400ish, which is pretty good. Not only that, but if I need a spin blocker that isn't the Gourgeist that I'm already using, I can use Dusclops. So in my personal opinion, no, Dusclops isn't that bad.

Can anyone help with the EV spread and nature?

If you're set on using Dusclops, I would probably go physically defensive, so 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SDef with an Impish or Bold nature. Just be wary of Taunt users, because they shut you down completely. Maybe throw on Seismic Toss or Night Shade for consistent damage.

Thanks! Just have to ask this, would a specially defensive Dusclops work at all?

I'm far from the most experienced person when it comes to Dusclops, but I guess it could work. Ghost tends to be more of a physically defensive type, though, simply because it switches into Fighting types so often, and they are mostly physically offensive (think terrakion).

Alright, thanks! Guess I'll start experimenting once Showdown is back up.

With Knockoff making a comeback like no other, I wouldn't be so excited to be honest. I'd have 252 HP and 252 in one of the defenses. The sad thing is that it has really poor HP, it's only base 40.

Dusclops was a piece of shit in last gen's UU. If you really want to use him lose the Hex, and in general don't even try to do damage with him.

Also prepare for Taunt.

It's not as bad as Shuckle, though.

What other base 130s would there be, I can't think of any off the top of my head besides certain megas

Crobat, Aerodactyl, and other Jolteon I believe. You'll also speed tie with stuff like Scarf Politoed if you opt for 30 speed IVs.

I guess its not too significant either way, but 31/30/30/31/31/31 is generally preferred over 31/31/31/31/31/30 just for the issue of speed ties.

Does Unaware ignore your own stat boosts? I know this sounds like a stupid question because I'm pretty sure it doesn't. But on showdown, I tried using foul play against a quagsire that had +4 and then +6 attack. Both times I did this, it only lost around 20% of its health. I thought foul play was based off the opponent's attack stat.

No it doesn't. Was Quagsire Cursing up? I'd think from that damage it would be, and it's its only move that boosts its Attack.

No, it didn't use curse at all. It got max attack because I was using swagger over and over again. But at +5 and +6 it just shrugged off foul play like it was nothing. Then it ohko'd me with a +6 earthquake.

Oh, I think I get it. Foul Play's calculation momentarily transfers your opponent's Attack, with the boosts and all, to you, so when Unaware is applied, the boosts are negated.

Although someone should verify this in-game.
