But they weren't really serious opponents.

Di Roy was fodder, I'll agree with that. Rubidon was whatever. But Arroniero was a real serious opponent to Kuchiki. Hollow sucking parasite taking the body and memory of her beloved Vice-Captain and using it to his advantage? Yup. As Nodt is also pretty much screwed, since his (her?) raping of Byakuya was bound to piss off little Rukia.

Well, I can agree with that, but also, Nodt is her first opponent that would potentially give anyone else a really hard time (I doubt Arroniero would have posed much of a threat to anyone else), since he/she/it already beat Byakuya.

Not really. She survived, he didn't. And I would say that Aaroniero's Espada status is reason enough to consider him a "serious" opponent.

So...are we gonna rage like a few forums and start debates about Rukia>Toshiro, prodigy vs. RR hax bs?
God I hope we don't. The only reason she possibly could beat As Nodt is because she's completely immune to his power because of her new temperature thingy.

And imo, Aaroneiro could have and should have beaten Rukia, but of course he executed the genius plan of "point a sword directly at my face and gloat"

At least Kubo shortened this fight up: 4 grueling chapters of Renji vs Mask (5 if you count the chapter where it was just the 2 Vizards) and 2 of Rukia vs Nodt

Maybe it's just me, but I found Rukia's new powers kinda...stupid I guess. Entirely pointless fight as well. Though it's also interesting to note that it seems like Rukia's power is now a compression type akin to Ichigo, where instead of expanding, it contracts into the user. As Nodt also talks too damn much, though his spirit/power can now rejoin Juha.

Oh dear. With all the Sternritter dying left and right, how strong is Yhwach right now, and how strong can he get?

Well, considering he already killed off Yamamoto and would've destroyed Ichigo as well had his time not ended and he been willing, I'd say his power between broken to invincible at the moment.

i hope that fear dude is actually dead as opposed to going through the standard 'lol jk i still have this powerup ur owned' back and forth for 5 chapters before rukia finally wins =/

I didn't even remember Rukia going with Ichigo/Renji to the super-power-up-other-side and have no idea why she also got a power up

Latest chapter is up on mangapanda; Äs Nödt's Vollständig and potential nightmare fuel abound in this new chapter.

Guess it should've been expected, any baddie getting frozen in Bleach will always break free (looking at you Hitsuiga).

I guess the other obvious part should've been expected with Byakuya rescuing his stupid sister again, why do I honestly expect things to ever change?

As Nodt gets brownie points for being cooler now though, and it just shows how deep the sternritter's fanatical devotion to Juha Bach is.

It didn't sound much like deviotion just that Nodt feared to be absorbed by Juha once he dies. You are right that it was super predictable that Byakuya comes to safe Rukia once again though especially because if a Bleach character loses to someone and then gets a power-up he is likey the one that is going to kill him after someone else fails to do so.

Even though I fully expected Nodt to show he wasn't done just because he didn't activate his Vollstadig (and resulting in Byakuya's rescue) and was right on my guess Nodt's Vollstadig would ramp up the nightmare fuel to ridiculous levels, I was still unnerved seeing... that thing he transformed into. Not exactly Quilge Opie after absorbing Ayon, but still memorably scary enough befitting of "The Fear".

For me, Quilge just looked hideous (and kinda funny!). As Nodt looked much freakier before going Vollstandig; he reminds me of final form Aizen, the way he looks now.

Well Bleach fans, have fun sleeping tonight. To be honest, I thought his uh... face(?) before he activated his Vollstandig was scarier than afterwards.

I was once saddened that the final arc won't be getting an anime adaptation, but this chapter... I can live without it.

While I like Sternritter F (Äs Nödt), I'm glad the Kuchikis Rukia and Byakuya finally put him down (hopefully). That last form of Tartar Foras was even more grotesque than Quilge Opie's Vollständig after absorbing Ayon. Rukia's Bankai (Hakka no Togame) looks sick.

pls dont pull another mask de masculine kubo

Well that was unexpected (and by that I mean completely expected)

I'm just happy that Senbonzakura didn't get a gigantic power-up. Byakuya has shown that he can command only a few of the blades or conceal them before (most notably in his fight vs Tsukishima), so its more of a new technique than anothing.

And I found the first form of Tartar Foras to be creepier than the second, but whatever.

I was rather surprised Byakuya let Rukia get the kill in since he would have had a personal grudge against As Nodt and take him on himself. Still kinda nice he gave some encouraging words to Rukia right before she handed As Nodt's ass.

As for Tatar Foras' second form, I can safely say it was one of the most disgusting-looking things and a bit unnerving how he was starting to stop looking human. However, I think the first form was the most scary one since it was designed to invoke fear without looking ungodly ridiculous.
