Just yesterday, I witnessed a Kangaskhan use Fire Blast on a Latios. FIRE BLAST. Srsly, dat 40 base Special Attack. I ran into another Kangaskhan today with Flamethrower...

It isn't the stupidest thing ever, it can nail some of it's issues. Do I think it should be used? No, not really. But, it has 60 SpA, not 40 SpA btw~.
Where to begin... Red card Ditto, Smash passing with ninjask, using bisharp at all... forfeiting after his bisharp is crippled... the list goes on and on.

Bisharp is incredibly good right now because it can switch into Defog or Sticky Web and get a free +2 attack. Add that to the Dark buff and Knock Off buff and using Bisharp isn't even remotely silly.
Flying Press isn't a contact move? Wut.

P.S. Air Slash is actually standard STAB for Mega Charizard Y. It's on the recommended sets list. Charizard Y typically carries any of Heat Wave, Flamethrower, or Fire Blast, along with Air Slash/Solar Beam/Roost.
No, Air Slash is never recommended because it provides no additional coverage and is a very useless move on Charizard in general.
An update.
My opponent contacts me claiming to be the "God of prediction", and telling that if I had a voltturn team, I was screwed.
I remained with only Rotom W at 50% and DDnite at 70%. I ddance as Scarfchomp comes in. Man, either Outrage or dclaw (multiscale was gone) and I'm screwed. He proceeded to... Earthquake me. DDnite sweeps him.

I obviously don't understand a particular mechanic of transform -- how come it kept failing against the Gothitelle?
Sometimes they run lum berry for status. I don't know what the one you fought was holding but maybe it was that?

i forgot to save the replay but someone used a magikarp in OU. its not even funny anymore. all humor in using magikarp in competitive battling disappeared before i was even born
