Arsenal were poor
Chelsea were efficient in front of goal for once.
The Ref made a mistake in sending of the wrong person but either gibbs or ox were going to get sent off.

Predicts:

Barcelona - Atletico Madrid
Close matchup, but I think that Atletico will take it because the last few months Barcelona has shown an inability to defeat teams that know what defense is.

Real Madrid - Borussia Dortmund
This one should be pretty clear

PSG - Chelsea
Hardest matchup to predict, for me at least. I think that PSG will win (rooting for them btw) but it could go either way.

Manchester United - Bayern Munich

On Real Madrid-Barcelona this Sunday:

I think that Real Madrid is on a much better form, but for Barcelona, this is probably the most important match of the season from a psychological point of view, so I don't think Real Madrid will win easily. Apparently Neymar is going to be on the lineup (I guess Martino had no chance) so it will be interesting to see if he plays well, but to be honest I believe that Barcelona is much better when Neymar isn't on the field. Predicting a 3-1

If neymar does start tomorrow it really sends a bad message imo. Neymar's form has dropped considerably since the start of the year and Pedro is just best than him.

Iniesta vs Modric and Busquets vs Alonso should be the most interesting part of the match.

I think Barcelona is going to win though. 2-1.
2 from Messi and bale scoring the 1 for Real Madrid
 
Impressive performance by the team to lay waste to the gunners. If only we could be this clinical on a consistent basis.....And City all but nullified that+6 GD with 5 goals of their own and they already had a higher GD than us :(
No doubt about who I'll be rooting for in the Manchester derby.

Yeah I fully agree with you but there seems to be a consensus among the Spanish press on Neymar starting tomorrow. The reasoning behind it is that Neymar would feel underappreciated if he didn't start or something...

well I guess inzaghi must be the most overrated striker in the history of the game!

On a serious note:
I really don't get the stigma placed on penalties and "tap ins". A goal is a goal, and that's the amazing part of how ronaldo has changed from the winger at United to a hybrid(somewhere between a inside forward and a winger) under mourinho. He doesn't dribble past every player to score amazing goals but his overall positioning(something that the majority of people who watch this sport don't acknowledge) is remarkable. His understanding with the other attacker in particular Ozil was as good as it gets.
 
i don't have anything against tap-ins as they still require the player to be in the right place in the right time. A lot of times a player scores a tap in, he does it with opposing players possibly in proximity.

scoring a penalty does not require good movement and positioning like tap-ins. Also, it's just you vs the GK, no opposing defenders potentially unsettling your concentration.

hence, for me, the stigma is justified for penalties but not for tap-ins.
 
Very understandable.

Don't get me wrong, Suarez has been the best striker in the world this season. However he needs to continue this form into next season especially in the champions league. Then he could become a 'great' striker and not just a good one like Tevez.
 
I liked the name Xhizors more than Nosferalto.

Anyway, I am excited for El Clasico today. Both teams need to go for it and for Barcelona, if they lose, title is certainly gone.
 
Brilliant game of attacking football so far.
4 brilliant goals
Benzema could of had about 5 goals so far
Gerard Pique has been amazing so far.
Di maria must of taken something before this game. Jesus the guy is all over the place in a good way and not in a welbeck or ramires way.

Ronaldo, neymar and to a lesser extent bale have been quiet.
 
This game is amazing. It wasn't pen against CR7 (it was foul), and Neymar was offside before Ramos's ?foul?, but they were both tough decisions. Action replay anyone?

EDIT: Oh and Masche is showing why he can't be our central back for the World Cup, struggling every time against Benzema. Di Maria had a great first half, Messi and Neymar had little glimpses of what they can do. Something similar on the other side for Ronaldo and Bale.

EDIT 2: OK I guess that solves it. This one at least was more penalty than the other two. Messi scores a hattrick without having an outstanding performance. Still a great match though, but the ref took too much of a main role on the second half.
