My first Ubers battle for a while. What a welcome
Aqua Tail Dragonite. WHAT DOES THAT HIT
Jirachi
Sending MegaZardY in to change the weather.... Wen Ho-oh can abuse it too. Logic.
Focus BlastDragon Pulse. These are shit moves on Megazard. Don't use them. Or at least dont use them on Ho-Oh. also fire blast

Focus Blast has use to quickly take out a problematic Tyranitar and deal a lot to Heatran.
True, but EQ doesn't miss. And it wrecks Heatran on the switch.
Focus Miss was only useful for those two, while EQ can hit a lot of other potential checks (Or something like that)

I guess you could use FB if you didn't have a TTar/HEatran counter
Why are you keeping Zard in anyway? :/
(And Ttar now sometimes has Assault Vest to sponge the FB)
Edit: well, this is a thing.... Looks like my point about EQ was made moot.
(But again, WHY HAVE MEGAZARD OUT ON ITS COUNTER?)
(Calcs assume Ttar switched in. FB OHKOs outside of sand.)
0- Atk Mega Charizard Y Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 124-146 (30.6 - 36.1%) -- 47.7% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tyranitar in Sand: 272-324 (67.3 - 80.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard Y: 904-1068 (303.3 - 358.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Lol that last calc
Edit (Again) Talpr0ne , Yeah I was stupid. I shouldn't be theory inning like this XD
(Also, I missed post 300 </3)

What Charizard counter does Earthquake hits that Focus Blast doesn't? I can think only about Charizard X and Victini tbh.

Dd/Roost/Substitute/DragonRage dragonite

Greninja is not a derp pokemon, but Frogadier...

I guess that Abomasite is not the item of choice on Talonflame

An Empoleon with Swords Dance, Rest, Sleep Talk and................................................................................Bubble.

That's considering Focus Blast hits though, which it normally doesn't.
I actually feel to miss more Hydro Pump and expecially Draco Meteor than Focus Blast, it's pretty subjective imo.
And doesn't change the fact that Tyranitar is going to take shit damage from Earthquake anyway.

Well this was... Unique?
Offensive Gliscor with Night Slash and U Turn that got switched in the first turn. Okay then
Fire Blast Megazard Y don't bitch at me if you lose because it misses >_>
Hydration Toxic Orb Goodra with Facade Rain Dance and Sludge Bomb which it used on a Chesnaught
Eelektross

Dragon Claw on Eelektross, which it used on a Chesnaught
And Eelektross had Flame Orb. Okay?

Hydration Toxic Orb Facade would have been fun if Bibarel (or a better Normal/Water type in Gen VII) got Hydration...

Ok,here are some absolutely silly funny ones white pre-evolutions:
Eviolite Gurdurr in ou.
Eviolite Roselia in uu.
WHY CAN`T YOU SIMPLY USE THEIR EVOLUTIONS???
The following ones are in uu:
Anti-lead sashed Sneasel whith taunt and knock off.
Analytic Magneton.
I know Weavile and Magnezone are banned in bl but their pre-evolutions just can`t replace them!!!

OK just played against some dude.
He brought his Helioptile in on my Talonflame. I roosted up that nasty Stealth Rock damage on his predicted Volt Switch.
He Thunders me. He didn't even have rain up. He Thundered me twice after that (hitting all of them lol!) knocking me out, and then I brought in my scarfed Excadrill.

Then he uses Rain Dance. What the hell? He uses Rain Dance after hitting all those Thunders...

It gets worse!
He also had a Charizard Y on the same team. A Charizard Y with a Rain Dance Helio. Talk about terrible synergy.
I switch in my Tyranitar just to get rid of the Sun, powering down his Fire Blasts. But guess what?

He had Sunny Day on his Charizard Y.
What. The actual. Fuck.

Well, Sunny Day does counter Sand Stream well enough.... But WTF
(It CAN turn a 2hko to a OHKO with Focus Blast. That's about it, and Zard has 4MSS already, so Sunny Day sucks and shouldn't be used ever.)
Also, I bet the Helioptile had Solar Power lol.

9th Round of silly replays: Dancing Around Edition

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120274891
  • Force Palm + Dynamic Punch Conkeldurr.
  • Dig Gliscor. Nice way to gain 25% health with Poison Heal, but beware of Ground immunities on the 2nd turn. Except that... it had Protect too.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120279821
Team A:
  • An appropriately named Acrobatics Crobat. Brave Bird has more power and can be used with any item, despite the recoil.
Team B:
  • A quite slow Jolteon (to the point where it was outsped by Garchomp) set with Toxic. Another spectator was puzzled by this fact and I blindly asked "Choice Scarf Garchomp?" to test him, even if I saw Garchomp changing moves.
  • Scrafty.
  • Bouffalant.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120281653
Team A:
  • Sunny Day + Fire Blast Flareon. Coupled with...
  • Rain Dance Kabutops.
Team B:
  • Zangoose. The way it spammed Quick Attack, the player must have excepted the Flame Charge variant. Even then, Swords Dance would have been a better move in turn 1.

EDIT: BONUS REPLAY!!!
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120323076
Turn 10

The opposing Gliscor used Knock Off!
Malamar lost 23.2% of its health!
The opposing Gliscor knocked off Malamar's Leftovers!

Malamar used Calm Mind!
Malamar's Special Attack fell!
Malamar's Special Defense fell!

Calm Mind Contrary Malamar #newmeta
Also includes:
  • Silver Wind + Hurricane Volcarona
  • Whiscash
  • Greninja using HP Fire on Mamoswine

wat.

Gastly ? BrightPowder Ludicolo ? I won't spoil the last thing, it's just hilarious. Dat mighty Electric Type.

EDIT : Please. I need to know how THIS is even possible :

Go! Ball sack (Cascoon)!
Turn 2

The opposing Manectric usedFlamethrower!
It's super effective! Ball sack lost 55.0% of its health!

Ball sack used Bug Bite!
A critical hit! The opposing Manectric lost 25% of its health!

EDIT : 0 SpA Manectric Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Cascoon: 144-170 (47.3 - 55.9%) -- 79.3% chance to 2HKO

There is something wrong there.

Rough Skin Sharpedo with Agility, why use Speed Boost when you can get to +2 in one single round? Also this Sharpedo was carrying Roar, gotta Roar them out quicky! Sadly Roars priority is -6..
Also 5 out of 6 pokemon on this dudes team had a Rocky Helmet (Deoxys-S/Sharpedo/Ferro/Chomp/Lando-T)

Random Shit volume 114: I Can't Typing Edition
-A guy who admitted to a misplay when bringing in Landorus-T on Bisharp due to Defiant. So what does he do next? Bring in Intimidate Gyarados.
-Black Glasses Bisharp.
-Shuca Berry Aegislash.
-Superpower Deoxys-D.
-Sandstorm Excadrill. And then it got OHKO'ed by Golurk's EQ.
-Some Hidden Power on Scizor (it was SE on Houndoom).
-Weakness Policy Breloom. It worked, at least.
-M-Aerodactyl spamming Aqua Tail against Ferrothorn.
-Aerial Ace Ambipom.
-Ambipom in general.
-Quick Claw Forretress setting up Toxic Spikes on Venusaur and Bisharp.
-Discharge+Signal Beam M-Manectric.
-Smeargle using Spore on Venusaur.
-Flame Orb Espeon.
-Oh boy... http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-120320434
-Aerial Ace+Shadow Claw Bisharp.
-Shell Bell Salamence.
-Psycho Boost Deoxys-D.
-Aerodactyl using EQ on Gengar. It also had Dragon Pulse.
-Deoxys-S continuously using screens against a Brick Break Azumarill.
-Some idiots still using non-mega Charizard in OU.
-Keeping Gliscor in on Kyurem-B (enjoy that Ice Beam).
-Skarmory using Whirlwind on Espeon. You can probably guess what happened.
