Also, does synchronize transfer the "badly poisoned" effect when toxic or another move is used? Or just poison? Because I didn't see anything about it under ability listings and I don't think synchronize does badly poison
Its just normal poison

This is a n00b-question, but how many more EV's do the pokémon gain if it's infected by the pokerus AND holding a power item? 4 or 8 times more?

Uhmm... you mean Macho Brace, right? Cause power items don't multiply EV gain, but just give additional 4 EV's in that stat for any pokemon you beat...
I'm pretty sure it's 4 times more when you are holding macho brace.

No, I meen the power items. I guess I missunderstood then, I thought the power items multyplied the EV gain by 4. So beating a machop would gain the pokémon 6 attack EV's if it holding a power bracer and is infected by the pokérus?

10 actually. (4+1)*2

Being 4 the Power Bracer boost, 1 the EV Machop gives you for defeating it and *2 because of pokerus.

What are some good physical walls that can phaze aside from Skarm?

Swampert maybe?

Thanks, I'll have to try those guys out.

Now for another quick question, is Quick Claw really banned from tournaments? I just read it in a random RMT thread and I was wondering if this is true.

Claydol

name: Rapid Spin
move 1: Rapid Spin
move 2: Explosion
move 3: Earthquake / Earth Power
move 4: Toxic / Shadow Ball / Ice Beam
item: Leftovers
nature: Impish / Bold
evs: 252 HP / 114 DEF / 144 SPD <(**)^ what is this speed for?

Using a Kelpsy berry will bring your attack EVs all the way down to 100.

Seems like I have a lot to learn. However, it makes perfecly sense. When I reduced the special attack on my bagon I was very confused when I only needed 11 hondew berries. Now you solved the mystery!

I'm pretty sure he means that he overtrained his Nincada, to the point where it had 300 atk EVs if it were possible. And as to her revalation, The EV reducing berries reduce the EV to 100 if its over 100 and then reduce it by 10.

Yeah you right, exept that I'm not a "he"

Could you be more specific about it please? I found the words under the D/P analysis in this forum. Id really appreciate a little explanation about what OU - UU mean. Thanks

It refers to the tier system- basically, when you play, you and your opponent decide on what level you want your Pokemon to be. Standard play is dominated by Overused (OU) Pokemon, and the only restricted Pokemon are Ubers. Playing UU means that OU Pokemon are banned. The purpose of the UU metagame is to have an environment where otherwise outclassed Pokemon like Grumpig can have a chance to shine.

It is indeed speed, and Claydol has always ran that amount in order to outspeed Adamant Tyranitar.

Perhaps actually giving the name of the pokemon and not the moveset would help? This is probably a Claydol, in which case thats not speed, thats special defense.

No, it is Speed. Special Defense would be SpDef. The Speed EVs are to bring Claydol to 222 Speed, making it faster than Adamant Tyranitar.

Is it normal for a signing in the town with the 8th gym (forgot the name, and my ds is 100 miles away =S) to read 'its a blank sign painted white?', if so, was it always like this, or was it different before? Its just that i think a friend sent me some hacked pokemon for a few wireless battles with him and im worried that this blank sign thing might be one of those cheating flags that prevent you from taking part in PBR and Nintendo tournaments...

Bumping this up, id really like someone to check it out for me...

What kind of IV's would Togekiss benefit more from? I'm going for 31 special attack and 31 in at least 1 defence stat - but which one? Does togikiss need 31 speed? It'll be running t-wave.

I want to run a Flame Orb Swellow, which nature should I go with ;Jolly or Adamant?

I was thinking of Going with Jolly so I can outspeed pretty everything Weavile can (not counting choice scarf Pokemon), and GUTS would be raising attack anyway... Any suggestions?

I would go jolly lonewulf.

Can someone post the latest hack testing programs for pokemon? I did some trading recently and I would like some reliable sites I can use to check if any of the pokes I have been tampered with. The one I found on the blacklist page wasn't really good because my friend tested his pokesavd pokemon and the program couldn't determine if the pokemon was hacked or not. So if anyone has some sites that would be helpful.

thank you in advance to the people who help me out.

:)

Where exactly is the Ace Trainer with the Blissey on the Battle Tower island? And does anyone know any other good places to get experience and money or is sweeping the E4 the most efficient way to get experience and money?

Hoping to see if I can get this answered...

Thanks again
