Seattle Seahawks Edition

Cmon Wilson is much better than Flacco and is a great QB.
I'm talking more about the fact that this win (and most of the Seahawks' postseason wins) are/will be attributed to Wilson when by all rights Matt fucking Schaub could win with this team.

All anyone will remember about this game is "Wilson's" 4-minute comeback and OT touchdown. What really won them the game was Special Teams, Defense, and Marshawn Lynch in no particular order... add to that the fact that Wilson is fixing to become the league's highest paid QB (at least for a year until Luck's contract comes along) and you have the ESPN circlejerk that Wilson is a top-5 or top-3 QB.

Say whatever you want about Flacco, he's actually the #1 reason for the Ravens' SB run and postseason success. Wilson is the Seahawks' #3, but try telling the media/casual fan that.

I'm hardly a Packers sympathizer and I'm fuckin salty as hell.

PS, that's two more weeks the Falcons have to go without a head coach... :pirate: I've also been pretty salty about the offseason coaching carousel/the NFL's policy about hires before the Super Bowl, but that's a rant for another day.

The Patriots look really fucking strong. I take for granted how well the Ravens and Flacco always play them, cause I'm watching them now and wondering how the fuck is anyone gonna compete with them?

You get a free pass since you're not prone to being massively wrong like this.

Also this is the last year the Seahawks will be good. After this season they'll have to hand Wilson a big contract (whether he deserves it or not) if they want to keep him, and that means letting half their defense go to be able to afford it. Not to mention Lynch has already said this is his last season in Seattle if I'm not mistaken?

I wouldn't necessarily mind the Seahawks if they weren't the most arrogant people in the entire league. They even make the Patriots look humble.

I'd rather a QB like Flacco who is only slightly above average (average being the 16th best qb by definition) in the regular season and is an absolute monster in the playoffs over a QB like Luck who is a monster in the regular season and completely shits the bed against the first good defense he comes up against (you can argue the Broncos and Bengals have good defenses, but they weren't playing like it by the end of the season).

I guess it's somewhat of a comfort knowing that even if my team had made it to this game, there was no way anyone was beating the Patriots with how they played, so either way there was no Super Bowl in the cards. Maybe next year!

EDIT: Kubiak to the Broncos? I thought they had already announced he was staying in Baltimore? Weird...

The key players on defense are locked in for the most part (I do think a couple should get more money though, lol). We're good there. As for Lynch, it's not final, but we'll see. Many are expecting him to walk after the Super Bowl though... It'll be a huge gap in offense with him gone. Our receivers have been showing up for a while though so there's that.

I want to first establish that this is not that impressive of a win, given that the Patriots have done this to the Indianapolis Andrew Luck's every time they've played them.

Outside of that though, this will be an interesting Super Bowl.

I had some work to do. Glad the second game was an obvious blowout and uninteresting.

I have no idea who will win the SB. Def don't see a blowout, as long as Wilson doesn't play like a bum.

Andrew Luck is already the NFL's greatest QB. Not active, OF ALL TIME. He's a proven winner and clutch in clutch situations.

Oh wait I forgot today isn't "sound like an idiot ESPN talking head" day. My bad.

Going with Seattle over New England, should be a close, low-scoring game IMO.

Well I hate this Super Bowl, can't stand either team. Will probably watch it just because football, but I'd be just as happy if both teams fell into a black hole.

So in a battle of hated teams, I guess I hate the Seahawks more since they're inter-division, so go Patriots (god that feels so wrong saying that).

No comfort knowing that my team deserved to make it to this game, would have won it unlike the Garbage Bay Chokers, and would have a fair shot at the Patriots in the Owl. Maybe next year! ................. :/

fuck me...patriots and seahawks are my 2 least favorite teams. So this would be my ideal super bowl

The Seahawks and Patriots struggle for 59 minutes, with the Seahawks having a 16-10 lead. Because a Calvin Johnson / Dez Bryant non-catch call wiped out a TD earlier in the drive, Tom Brady throws a Hail Mary as time runs out. Richard Sherman thinks he's all cool, swatting it away, but it goes right into a Pats receiver's hands for the touchdown, so Sherman can hopefully shut his fucking mouth for at least a couple of days.

But Gostkowski slips on his ass trying to kick the extra point, and the kick somehow manages to go backwards and hit him in the face as he falls, in a scene that almost tops the butt fumble. That sends it to overtime tied at 16, as if the game needed to go on any longer.

The Seahawks win the coin flip and go to the pats' 40 yard line. Wilson throws what appears to be a game winning TD pass, but is negated by offensive PI. The PI call might have been the right call if you were on enough shrooms, but any guy in a bar who isn't a Pats fan will tell you that, right call or not, the receiver's contact had no effect on the defender.

The Pats then get the ball from a punt. Aided by several dubious personal foul calls, the Patriots drive to the Seahawks ~15 yard line so they can leave it to their kicker to get the game winning score once again. Kam Chancellor tries leap over the center, but before he does that, the snapper flinches upward and headbutts Chancellor in the groin. The snapper is called for false start, which the Seahawks can't decline even though Gostkowski misses the field goal again. The second kick looks like its way wide, but a buffalo wild wings style gust of wind pushes it just inside the uprights, leaving many dumbass Seahawks fans to think it's a conspiracy.

Also, thanks to those same dumbass Seahawks fans, the NFL looks at all their fucked up calls and rules and makes them less shitty. Maybe even eligible for review/challenge. It would be the only way to put this super bowl to good use.

We'll see what happens in this divisional round but I've already resigned myself to the fact that the Super Bowl will be Ravens vs Seahawks. Sports just troll me in giving the championship to the team I dislike most, and I'd be alright with any other team in the playoffs winning. Therefore it has to be Seahawks or Ravens.

I was wrong about the Ravens but I still stand by this post. Seahawks will take out the Patriots.

I also accept full responsibility for the Packers blowing their insane lead since me rooting for a team = they lose.

Seahawks struggled way too much against the Packers today. Having said that, I expect the Super Bowl to be close with a New England victory, probably about 2 points over the Seahawks. It certainly won't be easy for them.

1.I don't think the patriots would do this to a team they destroyed in 3 straight games
2.I don't think it had any impact on the outcome on the game since I know nothing about how air/amount of air effects a football.
3.I don't really know how much air teams are supposed to put in the footballs, or what team uses what footballs.

But since its the patriots, it will just fuel more rumors and speculation whether its true or not.

(And the patriots can only Blame themselves for that)
