I've had this account for a while but it was always an on-and-off account that a primarily used for the mentorship program. I play primarily UU and OU, but am looking to start playing Ubers as well. I started with Gen 3 on the GBA, but only recently got into competitive. Smogon sets have helped me a lot by helping me to come up with my own sets, and I hope it does the same for you! Have fun!

I've been playing BH a lot recently, which is why I decided to check out the Other Metas room. It's helped me greatly, not to mention the community there is amazing. Maybe you could also try out the "Over/UnderUsed" and "Ubers" rooms, to get the same result! I'm also starting to try and get involved, and I find that Kingler12345 has been really helpful. Hello! I've been using smogon for awhile for good movesets and EV spreads, but im kinda've tired of lurking and im more interested in battling now! I love the steel type, especially Magnezone(because he was the head cop in Mystery Dungeon) anyway hope I get to battle some of you and learn!

Hey I'm Olek and Pokémon has without a doubt changed my life. I played the card game as a little kid in Gen 1 (and I mean VERY little), but I fell out of it pretty quickly. It wasn't until about a year ago that I felt pressured enough buy my friends to give it a chance once more with X/Y, and man was I hooked! It took me a few months to get into the swing of things, but competitive battling has always been the best part about the game. I found out about Showdown from those same friends and have enjoyed it since. But now I feel more compelled to contribute to this amazing community, so here I am!

A little bit about myself: I'm 20 years old and I'm an avid Pokemon fan. I've been playing since 1st Gen and my first game was pokemon yellow! I'm a big fan of the classic pokemon games but I thoroughly enjoy ROM hacks as well. I just started a Youtube channel called Mr. Fenno where I am uploading my first Let's Play. It's a Crystal Randomizer Nuzlocke with lots of funny commentary and I think many of you would enjoy it! If you guys don't mind taking a peak at a few of the videos and shooting me some feedback in the comments I would be extremely grateful. Anything I can do to improve!

I've also been playing since Emerald! :o I like to play OU, BH, and random battles. You can PM a mentor such as Pwnemon in Doubles for some competitive help. Good luck and have fun!

HEY GUYS!! \(^_^)/ I'm Blackwingz3, or 3wingzblack in some circumstances such as showdown. I've been playing pokemon off and on since red and blue, and have just recently started playing again. I want to play competitive but the IVs escape me a bit and I dont have anyone on my friends list AND I hate 3v3/4v4. 6v6 is my favorite way to fight but I cannot ever find someone to fight. My favorite pokemon is Gardevoir despite the fact I make a point not to use her. I have Y and Alpha Sapphire anbd my 3ds friend code is 3497-2452-5225. ^_^

Huh. Well I don't know how to respond to that emoticon, so I'll just use the only one I know-- :^B . I've been playing since Emerald, took a break, returned at XY, then went back and replayed the others in between. You can use our simulator for battles if you can't find anyone in game; in my opinion it's better, but that's just me. My favorite Pokemon is Bisharp, yet I don't use him too much now that he got moved up to OU. (Ah, the times when I'd overuse him in UU. Good times, good times.) In addition, if you'd like to find people to battle/trade with, try the Wi-Fi subforum. Have fun!
^_^ The simulator is actually how I found this forum! I have been using it to work out the team i have been building up in game. I posted a rate my team up for it just now and am now awaiting feed back on it. I will make sure to check out the wifi sub room as well. Since I have been pointedly not using Gardevoir I have been abusing Lopunny, for no other reason than killer bunny.

The rules of this site can be found here. As for competitive battling, a guide to the basics is available. If you want to, you can also PM a mentor if you want some extra help. Lastly, try out the "Competitive Tutoring" room in Showdown for more help. Have fun!
