I think Venomoth would still be better as it has better movepool and abilities. Tinted Lens is great offensively to hit its resists while Wonder Skin halves the chance of it being crippled. It also has dual STAB and decent coverage in Psychic and Giga Drain/Energy Ball. I think it would be a great RU sweeper and an underdog in UU.

No, it doesn't. All its sets are outclassed by its Fighting-type counterparts. Choice Band sets are outclassed by Pangoro and Heracross. Dragon Dance is outclassed by Swords Dance Lucario and Swords Dance Cobalion as a sweeper. Lastly, Assault Vest is outclassed by Machamp.

I dont think DD is outclassed by Lucario or Coba - it's just bad, specially compared with others Dragon Dancers in this tier
 
I'd actually be all for it. I've had a bunch of ideas I couldn't do because I'm a wimp and can't ask people.

It hits freakishly hard and has great coverage (Fighting/Dark/Poison has perfect neutral coverage, I believe), but it's extremely slow and if you invest enough to outspeed most walls (a lot of them in between 70 and 90, actually, and some of them you can't actually outspeed at all without a boost of some kind), you don't have nearly enough bulk to deal with faster Pokemon, some of which don't really care about your bulk even if you WERE investing in HP.

Thank you. I might try it sometime, maybe as a fearsome wallbreaker that crushes stall. Grrr. Beware of the Pangoro!
 
While I obviously agree that no changes should be made while there's a suspect test is in progress, it would be nice if there was at least some transparency from the council/tier leaders about these things (even just y/n there's been discussion about dropping Veno/Smeargle, because otherwise the only logical assumption is that we're going to maintain status quo which involves leaving two non-broken pokemon banned from their 'correct' tiers).
 
Please hold off on the Venemoth discussion until after the suspect test. This is far less about transparency, and far more about focus; focus on the current issues in UU. The council is made up of experienced smogonites including two tier leaders that know exactly what they're doing. Please trust this process, and contribute your ideas as best as possible regarding the topic at hand. In this case, the np thread is discussing Mega Pidgeot.

im trying to build some semi stall team but im not sure what EV spread i should use in Tangrowth

im trying something like Leaf Storm/Leech Seed/Toxic/Knock Off utility spread in a p.def tank
any EV suggestion?

In my semi stall i use max def tangrowth with sleep powder. I feel its more viable than leech seed. I run knock off and hp ice along with leaf storm so I can kill slurpuff after bd and rocks damage. Max def. I have seen assault vest hp and spattack in ou for semi stall. That might work too.

Edit: Oh I use hp ice to hit things that want to take a sleep powder. I also kill physical salamence. Makes me able to beat chesnaught 1 on 1
 
Forretress helps a lot with beedrill and maero. Even though you have blastoise for those, it gets worn down way more that forry does. Plus forry covers your hazards and hazard removal. You can now put ice beam or d pulse on blastoise or keep spin on toise and put something like toxic or eq on forry.
