Moderating is often more art than science, and I'm sure one could justifiably lock certain threads we haven't or leave open certain threads we locked. Best overall guidance I can give is that we want things that promote discussion, and favorites posts are more likely to involve people talking past each other than actual give-and-take. Sometimes, just a change in presentation can help things. If you really want to argue why Eevee or the like is a brilliant design, and tie it to your principles of good Pokemon design or some such, it's probably more likely to pass muster. To be sure, you can argue that some of this is just window dressing, but to the extent that a better hook/angle results in better discussion, presentation really does matter.

Is there a SR guide or post for Hoopa? I need an easier way to reference the Iv/nature combos before I've memorized them.

Not a guide per se, but keroblade typed this post a while back for nature/stat references. I checked the first two, and they are for hexaflawless (i.e. all 31) spreads. I'd imagine all 6 listed natured are.

Am I required to catch Groudon/Kyogre in order to beat OR/AS, or can I simply defeat it and then capture it later on?

Although I am required to catch Rayquaza as part of the Delta Episode, the whole Delta Episode quest is optional and post-game, correct?

Catching Kyogre and Groudon is optional, and you can try again after beating the Elite Four.

Yes, but you cannot access the Battle Frontier (and thus some items and Move Tutors) until the Delta Episode has been beaten.

Is Hyperspace Fury (not Hole) programmed in X/Y, or was the move added in ORAS along with Unbound Hoopa?

Reason I asked is because I have a bunch of PP Maxes in my Y save, but idk if I can move Hoopa to Y and pp max Hyperspace Fury, or if I'll have to move a PP Max over to ORAS.

I just have a question from a more competitive standpoint. While they fill two very different roles, I'm trying to start a new team, and I'd like to put either Porygon2 or PorygonZ on it, but I don't know which one to choose. If you can, please explain your answer, as it would be great to help me make a decision. Thanks!

This is literally the one subforum for everything else than competitive discussion. Since both Porygon2 and Porygon-Z are in the UU tier, I would suggest asking in the Simple Questions thread for UU.

Hyperspace Fury was added in ORAS; it isn't programmed into XY.

On Pokemon Yellow, when battling your rival in the Pokemon League, the battle animations are always on. Even when you manually turn them off beforehand. Was this intended? Or is it just a bug?

Yeah I kinda figured that out while EV training; apparently Hoopa can't use Hyperspace Fury when in Confined Form. Guess I'll have to send over PP Maxes. :/

Or you can come check out the Battle Spot forum where Porygon2 is a defensive beast!

To help with your question though, P2 and P-Z both have very different roles in a team, so choosing one depends on what would fit you team better, so in order to answer we need to know the rest of your team..

I was having a fun match against a friend of mine when I had Darkrai use Dark Void. My friend switched out his Pokémon for his Mew. Dark Void connected and put Mew to sleep, but Synchronize didn't activate. Does anyone know why this is?

Synchronize passes poison (and badly poisoned) burns and paralysis only iirc.

Synchronise only passes the burned, paralyzed and poisoned statuses to the opposing mon when it's affected by one of those statuses.

In this recent video of ShadyPenguinn, it sounds like he disabled his in-game music, but not his in-game sound. Is this the case? If yes, how did he do this?

Video:

One thing he could have done is boost the sound of the effects while lowering the music sound to almost nothing. Unfortunately, I'm no expert so I don't see how, but presumably there's some kind of software

Yeah I figured something like that. I already sent Shady a PM, hopefully he'll respond soon. Even if I listen carefully, I can't catch a single glimpse of in-game music..
