Hay.
I found a very frustrating bug on Smartphone Website version.

I use an iPhone 5S, and on Smartphone, when you want to select an attack, you need to click on it twice. One click show you the attack info (like when you put the mouse on the attack on PC version) and one other click for confirm the move, and then your pokemon attack.

Like this : https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.ne...=f9fd840b89891f9a04e891b57122d59a&oe=56CCAD8A

But when you click on the move Substitute, the info-text-windows is so huge that the windows cover ALL your screen ! And you cant again on it !!!

Like this : https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.ne...=cb77e57342fbe1e50b49c9ccb60d1764&oe=56C25811

So you cant use Subtitute (and all other attacks with huge description I guess...)
I test on others browsers like Chrome, Mozilla, etc.. But the result is the same..

Hope you will fix that quickly :( i play most of the time on my phone and without Substitute i can't win with my new team...

This Kingdra in randbats used searing shot. Not sure how that's possible, maybe I'm missing something.
same as above, my Mega Sceptile in Randbats had Seed Flare, Flash Cannon, and Thousand Arrows (besides Dragon Pulse)

These have been fixed.

Introduction
[00:25] <woodchuck> and if people are mad tell them to be angry at me
This thread is dedicated to reporting all kind of bugs in Pokemon Showdown.
Note that issues with sprites go in another thread.
Also, if you don't want to report a bug, but rather to ask a question use the SQSA threads about Pokémon or about the simulator.
This is not the place to post if you're having trouble connecting or if you have a feature request. It is ALSO not the place to post about problems with the ladder.

Rules
Before reporting a bug,
  • ...check the lists of Not Bugs and Known Bugs in the post below.
  • ...look up the relevant moves/abilities/items on Veekun and the first post of the Smogon Research thread. Don't look on Serebii, Bulbapedia, or Smogon's own dex, they are too unreliable.
  • ...if your problem involves incorrect damage, include your damage calculation. This is my damage calculator of choice, but there are plenty of others.
  • ...make sure your opponent's pokemon isn't Zorua/Zoroark
  • ...save a replay (the "Share" button, or alternately the "/savereplay" command), generate a screenshot or copy the FULL log of the battle to include in your post
  • ...make sure no one has reported this bug on, say, the last page or two of the thread. No one expects you to go through the whole thread, but it's kind of ridiculous when three posts in a row report the same problem.
  • ...make sure this bug exists on the official server, and with no custom styles enabled.

If you are posting a screenshot, PLEASE put HIDE tags around it. No one likes having their browser stretched by an enormous image.

Playing anything goes, Latios' ice beam was avoided by mega-rayquaza (at normal evasion for quaza and accuracy for Latios).

In this battle, sun was activated by my opponent's Cresselia's Sunny Day. Then, I sent out my Altaria with the ability Cloud Nine.

>Go! Altaria!
>[Altaria's Cloud Nine!]
>The effects of the weather disappeared.

But the intense sunlight persisted! The bug is during Turn 6 of the battle. The sunlight faded at Turn 8 when it was scheduled to. Possibly of note: Gravity was in effect when this happened.

Could Nine doens't make the sunlight disappear. It just means that Altaria negates the weather for itself (Fire- and Water-type moves deal normal damage, Thunder and Hurricane have 70% accuracy, etc.).

Here's what Bulbapedia says on that matter (a much clearer explanation than mine, actually):

"When a Pokémon with Cloud Nine is in battle, all effects of weather are negated (though the weather itself does not disappear)."

During extremely harsh sunlight, heavy rain, and a mysterious air current, even if a Pokémon is negating the effects of weather with Cloud Nine, the moves Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sandstorm, and Hailwill still fail if used, and the Abilities Drought, Drizzle, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning will still fail to activate. However, all other effects of these weather conditions are negated by Cloud Nine.

So I tried out the showjoins command on showdown by doing /showjoins on, and when I understood what it did (It shows the people come online/go oflline) I wanted to reverse it by doing /showjoins off, but it still says "Join/leave messages: ON" after I type /showjoins off.

To turn it off it is /hidejoins. Turning it on is just /showjoins.

In this game, my +2 Assurance did 52% after the Tentacruel hit me but it carried on to hit 47% even without taking damage beforehand which shouldn't be how Assurance works.
If you read the description you would know Assurance is not like Revenge.

"Power doubles if the target has already taken damage this turn, other than direct damage from Belly Drum, confusion, Curse, or Pain Split."

But no damage was inflicted on the target that turn when Assurance was used... or am I missing something?
Yes, you're missing the fact that 60 base power at +2 is enough to 2HKO that Tentacruel.

+2 0 Atk Umbreon Assurance vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tentacruel: 91-108 (43.5 - 51.6%) -- 7.4% chance to 2HKO

This is assuming 0 IVs/EVs in everything, and only considering that Tentacruel had 209 max HP. Once you add in some random Attack/Defense, it becomes very easy to guarantee the 2HKO.

On turn 10, Specs Kingdra's Surf only does 67% to Leftovers Cobalion, which, according to my opponent, only has 252 hp and no spdef investment, but:

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Surf vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Cobalion in Rain: 382-451 (98.9 - 116.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
I double checked the teambuilder, and kingdra's item was there.
So one of the two 1.5x boosts to surf (from specs and rain) has not been applied, unless i'm missing something big.

He said it had AV, but it must have had a bit of SpDef investment (assuming he had max HP investment) for it to do that little. It's usually a good idea just not to listen to your opponents, since people often lie (or forget) about their sets and things like this are almost never bugs.

It couldn't have AV since it used Thunder Wave. I get this calc with 252 HP / +252 SpD on Cobalion:

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Surf vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Cobalion in Rain: 259-306 (67 - 79.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

In other words, it was a min roll against a specially defensive Cobalion.

That was him asking if my metagross was AV; i never thought cobalion was AV because it showed leftovers + twave immediately. I didn't think he lied at first because he had no reason to do so, and the spread he said he had (252 hp 252 spe) kinda made sense. I guess he just didn't care and lied then, thanks for the reply ahah
