Interesting. I can see how the developers are salty about it. It has no legs and it's floating around. So it was probably a pain to animate.
Yeah, I always found that hate weird. To me, Chandelure was an obvious winner of Generation 5 in terms of design. Unique typing, awesome gothic design, bitchin' name, and Pokedex entries that you gotta respect.I do kind of like how Chandelure was so despised as one of the examples of "pokemon's so unoriginal now" that salty geewunners and a ton of other people cited at the start of Gen 5
And now everyone's pouring in support for my beautiful little chandelier of death and destruction :')
Also, Sylveon+ Croagunk and Pachirisu + Magikarp have been revealed as new support sets.
Oh, and they are being consistent -- Ra is also the last letter of Chandelure's name.
So I guess the color of the question mark doesn't matter.
Also, looking back at Karxrida's "probs not in" list, Chandelure is listed there because it appears in a background of a stage. So with Braixen and Chandelure I guess this proves any Pokemon can be a fighter (though I kind of figured even if a Pokemon showed up in a background it doesn't mean they can't be a fighter since that's just another member of the species. However the pre-evolution was a bit surprising though as everyone said Braixen looks more mobile than Delphox).
My guess Braixen's Burst will have to do with its signature move, Mystical Fire.
And yeah Chandelure (yet ANOTHER Fire-type, lol. Watch IGN's review be like "7.8. Too much fire" (and Team Aqua will have its revenge))! Nice to see a Gen V Pokemon and I can see where some people would be decisive about it being its a chandelier (though I'm surprised someone guessed it). But I can see the move potentials for it, mostly with it wrapping itself with flames and spinning around, maybe sending out flame shockwaves, and sending out Will-O-Wisps. Not sure what'll do for its Burst (aside from a strong Fire-type move or maybe a super Will-O-Wisp).
Now this oddly also makes me want Vanilluxe to be a fighter to have Gen V's most hated Pokemon kicking it with all the popular mons.
EDIT: Oh, I guess I should also talk about how it looks:

Not bad, I like the crystal effect of the glass making it look like a chandelier but at the same time something that you could argue have formed naturally. And of course those ghostly blue flame effects look great (especially with that overlapping "aura" layer on it).
I am so fucking happy. At first I was like "well... even if the competitive won't be good, it'll still be fun to mess around with" when I heard of the multiplayer method, but this sounds awesome.LAN mode confirmed by Serebii. The competitive scene's going to live.
The 2-player mode on one system (which forces you to use the gamepad) will play with an FPS of 30.
What do you mean? It's been confirmed for ages now.Guys... are we getting Charizard?

Ooops, my bad. What do you mean? It's been confirmed for ages now.
Man, I wonder why I forgot it somehow. I can't remember anything about Charizard.
What do you mean they haven't been advertising him? He got his own trailer:I don't think they really advertise Charizard much being in Pokken, honestly him being in there an SSB4 is mainly for fanservice. It should be easier to remember he's in there once they make Greninja and Jigglypuff fighters (they have Pikachu, Lucario, Charizard, and Mewtwo; I don't think its too farfetched they'll go for the full SSB4 cast. I'm also hoping for Meowth, its sort of the secondary/villain mascot of the anime).
I'm not sure I follow, what else could he have had? He had his own trailer, he was on the roster since launch, and people have been playing him in Japan for months. I mean I guess you see Pikachu and Lucario a bit more often in most trailers, but the little promotional material we've gotten so far has definitely had him in it. When the Wii U version was announced to be coming to the states, Charizard appeared several times in the trailer.TheTraininator:
Sure he has a trailer but what else has he had? Though To be fair he isn't the only fighter that doesn't get much focus outside their initial appearance.

So it's not like we haven't seen any of Charizard, I think it's more along the lines of the fact that Nintendo has done very little promotional work for this game in the states AT ALL as of right now. I imagine that will change as we get closer to the release date.
