The Pokemon Gold and Silver Remake Theory

Actually, that just looks like some programming leftovers. The front Sprites for ??? Shellos and Gastrodon are either equal to the Western one or are just the Eastern one painted pink, depending on wether you're looking at the first or second frame. Only the back sprites are really unique.
 
The front first and second frames of the ??? Shellos/Gastrodon don't match. I don't see how it could change from a completely western shellos in the first frame to a mix-of-both-sides shellos in the second. It would look pretty weird, no?
 
The simalarities could have just been to make D/P more like G/S, just misconcepted by us excited fans. Nonetheless, I would love to see a remade G/S, Silver was awesome, the starters were awesome,(Looking and nothing else) The characters and story were cool, it was like the FFVII of Pokemon. All I want now is the alternately colored Kecleon.

Another suspicios "HINT"...

I went this sunday to the comic store where my friends and i gather to play and then one kid show up with an action replay...


he told us that he had a code to unlock everything on the bag and, after check his diamond game i found was true, he had the azure flute, the oak letter, also the three vouchers to get the poketch...but then when scrolling down on the key items pocket in his bag i found the S.S. Anne ticket...

i ask about it and he told me he went to the port in snowpoint and in the battle zone but nothing happen...

prolly he need to find the code to trigger the event.....so i wonder if the S.S. Anne arrives Sinooh...to where it gonna take you????
 
iirc the SS Anne ticket was on Serebii's item list as programming leftovers. It was intended to be implemented, but wasn't.

got ya metalgross, but this still a hint, prolly by time they were not able to add this in diamond and pearl, but what if the next game in this GEN take you to johto, that happen with emerald sorta, with the battle frontier, the island were mew lives, and the deoxys island as well...so prolly now with no pressure and enough time they can use the S.S. anne ticket (is already programmed) and when we beat sinnoh again in the new game we can travel to johto by SS Anne
 
How does this all actually point to a remake just because it's being compared to DP?

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't seem like it a possitive impression that compares these two generations.

Although, you both took time into this, and some information may have an impact towards peoples opinions.

Lets hope that a remake is on the horizon ;D

The third installment would most likely be Opal, considering Giratina's similarities to Dialga/Palkia, and

Giratina: Girasol (Fire Opal)

Dialga : Diamond

Palkia: Pearl

So we could be seeing a D/P/O thing soon.
 
hopefully if this is true they'd make a remake for GSC and RSE(even emerald only) I enjoy the battle frontier so I like emerald but sadly it's graphics isn't the best so hopefully this will come true. Regarding the opal(if the rumors are true)if they indeed make a third installment of Sinnoh I wouldn't be too happy unless they put Darkrai as the main cover pokemon even then I still don't look forward to it. D/P is just not good during the story part.
 
Regardless of what anyone thinks about the validity of particular theories, thanks for making this you two, and making it interesting. I enjoyed the brief bits of music interspersed into the whole thing — it was very well done and throughout overall.

This is very interesting. Even though its just "leftover" data, it still tells us something, doesn't it? It seems as GameFreak was attempting to include Johto in some way into D/P, but decided to cancel that feature/whatever it is.

Think about it-they could do the same similarities but with the 1st gen. or 3rd gen. Isn't it a weird coincidence that there so many similarities with the 2nd gen.? About 8 years after R/B was out, we got FR/LG. It's now the second half of 2007, about 8 years after the release of G/S in Japan (please correct if we are wrong). Perhaps a perfect timing for a remake...?

About a month ago, MD2 came out. Nintendo announces new Pokemon games about 2-3 month after the previous game has been released. Its now over a year since D/P has been released in Japan, and after at this time they would announce a new installment for the current gen.

What do you think about it?
 
If you want proof that the data is programmed into the game, I could post screenshots from pokesav for you. If that wouldn't be taken as absolute evidense, I might even go out of my way to take screen shots of the game after editing it with pokesav.

I want to battle all 32 Gym Leaders, 16 E4 members, and all Champions/Rivals in one game pack. I'm willing to settle for a Wii version of such a game.

P.S. Adding in another region, upping it all to 40 Gym Leaders, 20 E4 members, and all the Champions/Rivals would probably make it worth a lot more, since such a game would undoubtedly come with a battery of new 'mons (or at least new evolutions... there were almost no new 'mons this gen...).
 
I've actually seen a picture of cases for a Gold and Silver remake of Pokemon that looks like it came from a Japanese magazine scan, but for all I know it was shopped. I wish I had saved it, it was pretty cool. It even had a shot of the gameplay.

But yeah, I would love having a Gold/Silver remake. It would be interesting to see what they do as far replacing Whirlpool. Headbutting trees could easily be replaced by Honey (although getting Heracross will become even more of a bitch).
 
This makes me want to play GSC again.

Like said by majesty, I do agree that you need to seperate "evidence" from "coincidence??????". The Eeveelution thing was just meh, but things like town similarities just beg for trolls to come in and judge you views on just that. You're looking for things that link GSC and DP, not for traditions. Otherwise, I could say there's going to be an Advance remake because there's a trainer with 6 Magikarp in DP, ignoring the fact that this same guy appears in RBY and GSC.

The hacked data part is making me lean towards the "there will be a remake" side. Nintendo is not intending people to see that stuff, just as they didn't intend us to figure out the EV system.

Good effort on the video, I watched the whole of it. In case you appreciate some critism for the next video: it would be more relaxing if it was just one voice giving the commentary. No offense, but preferably the voice of Steven (don't know which username belongs to which real name).

I dunno about you all but there's no "Sinnoh (Girasol)" anywhere on the list. Does that mean that the third D/P installment won't exist?
 
Maybe it's sort of like how Emerald displays as a white cartridge in Box, that they just hadn't picked a "color" yet?

I was just thinking if they'd be able to lump together the wishes of fanboys and make a Gold/Silver remake into a Wii game, and force those who aren't as wishful to buy it anyways if they include Crystal-esque Move Tutors or something.
 
Well if all this stuff is from GSC, it makes me feel like, they have already put all the gsc remake stuff into DP.
