Buildin' With Legos

Chaos Pudding

Anyone here love to build with Legos, or at least used to? I am planning on building a model of EVA-01 as soon as I figure out how the hell it is going to work...
 
My brother absolutely adores the bionice legos, and he usially dis-asembles them to make something even bigger, badder, faster, and stronger. his latest creation is a 4-armed bug-lobster thing. :)

EDIT: I still fiddle with them to sometimes. I've got this one that has blades for arms and claws made out of borak eyes!
 
Ah, good times. I used to buy every single Stars Wars lego, and the bionicles. That was a long time ago (3 years), yet they're still making the Star Wars legos and Bionicles. I still have the first green Bionicle on my dresser (the one witht he ax), and a few others. I haven't goten a lego in a long time. They were fun though.
 
@Mantyke - Mine too.He will even start crying if he can't play with them.He's very creative.

I used to play with them ALL the time.IT got boring when I got my Gameboy SP.Then I loved pokemon,and then went back to legos if I got bored.
 
I still mess around with my legos when I'm bored. I really like the creativity legos allow for. Used to play with the bionicles too, but nowadays the company's kind of taken it a bit far...they should have stopped after like the second or third generation imo.

awesome thread. Back in the day I loved fuckin around with Legos - I had a ton of space legos and other junk and mixed them all in one box. Knex were the shit too! Anyone remember the Ferris Wheel?
 
I love Lego and Kinex, especially the giant sets with lots of every piece.
There's just something amazing about setting out to build something and seeing it completed as a kid.

Has anyone else here seen the Lego car factory?
 
I used to play with Legos all the time when I was a little kid. Improv spaceships were cool as heck. I'd still do it now if I had the room space and the time for it. Legos are so badass.
 
Legos and K'nex were the shit back in the days. I still have a large paper bag filled with all sorts of pieces from both bionicles and lego, but it's nothing compared to my old collection.

I remember Legos... I had a ton of them. Still do actually. The desert things, the Star Wars things, then Bionicle... wow that was fun. Does anyone else remember how each Bionicle set came with a little comic?
 
Oh man.

I used to collect Bionicles way back in 6th Grade. All my friends would bring them to school and show them off. I LOVED those things...

I had Legos, Knex, Capsela, and Erector... I think I did most of my building with Lego, but I did plenty of Knex and Capsela too. Erector was a little too hard for me when I was big into it ;[
 
I'm with Misty - Legos and Knex were the best parts of my childhood. I still got ten boxes of Legos stashed away in my closet, completely color-coordinated, in case I feel creative.

Then they had to ruin Lego with the stupid friggin Bionicle, classic Lego ftw.

I love bionicles, those things were basically action figures you can make and remake. Sure, the whole matenuie and toa thing was lame, but you can make a lot of stuff out of thse things.
 
I built stuff with Lego when I was little, I loved building houses and tiling the roof with those slanted bricks.

Afterwards I found K'nex and thought it was the most awesome thing ever. I built a mini-ball factory which is still assembled in my cupboard, which I was proud of.
 
I had loads of lego and knex. I had so many knex kits, I had fucking choppers, motorbikes, cars, boats fucking eveything. I had meccano aswell, but meccano was a bitch.
