Between Alolan Raichu, Mimikyu, and Togedemaru, anyone else feel we're getting too much Pika shoved in our faces? I know it makes sense from a marketing standpoint but...
Don't get me wrong. I love Mimikyu and Alolan Raichu is pretty legit, but I'm worried they're gonna do more Pika-stuff.

I think I might go from Sun Abuse in the Battle Mansion to Electric Terrain Abuse in Gen VII's equivalent.
W... wait a minute, I woke up to find out our poor large mouse is finally given love by Game Freak after they found Dedenne?!
Electric/Psychic... She looks more cuddleable and thus more like Fairy, it should've been, but she's part Psychic instead.
Not that I'm mad since I'm Psychic specialist, but, it is just like Solgaleo oddly being Psychic in first sight except with cuteness.
But that ability, now that's something. I'm hoping Elec Maker is distributed elsewhere aside of Tapu Koko until I can get one myself....
Oh, and she floats by surfing her own tail with telekinetic power? I know it might be another Magnezone case, but looks nice!
I'm hoping its hidden abilities will be something else too. One thing for sure that this cutie gets a place in my team. She complements very well to the badass regular Raichu. That tail looks bouncy fluffy in contrast to the badass sharp tail regular Raichu has.

Who needs distribution when you have an auto setter in Tapu Koko?
Well, there's no item to extend it right now beyond 5 turns. So, by the time you bring Raichu in, you blew a fifth of your timeMaybe it doesn't need decent distribution.

Hmm... but I don't know if there's any spread Electric attack that doesn't hurt teammates, aside of Discharge that does. Maybe if Tapu Koko could handle the heat from it's own friend and/or there's another good Lightning Rod or Motor Drive or Volt Absorb users that's not as frail as Jolteon, I can foresee a good alternative Triples team. Immunity against paralysis is great, although the third member will need Tailwind and still be threatened by Trick Room (ugh)....Maybe it doesn't need decent distribution.

I would be stunned if Tapu Koko doesn't have Volt Switch, and with ~157 BP after STAB and Terrain, I think that makes the waste of turns virtually non-existent.
Now that since this takes place in Pokemon's Hawaii, it'll be great surprise if Ash meets them again in Alola in anime!I knew Alolan Raichu looked familar!

Was hoping if they made a Mega Raichu they'd actually make two; one Speed focus (mixed attacker) while the other Physical (maybe with the Fighting-type).

Angie, one of the 3 actual ships the Anime had. Anabel, Angie wich had an actual character arc, her parents teased her about Ash, and then we have Serena.
God this Anime hates Canon shipping, Brock got more action than Ash... In 2 regions than Ash in his entire journey.
From what we've seen so far, it's pretty clear that with TapuKoko and Alolan Raichu, Electric Terrain is gonna be really hype for VGC 2017. Toss in Politoed (or another Rain user if Politoed isn't in the Alola dex) and suddenly you're staring down 100% accurate 270 247 BP Thunders and/or 270 BP Volt Tackles coming from something with effective base 220 Speed.
I know this isn't a competitive forum, but I think it's a safe bet that, at least in the early metagame, every team not using Electric Terrain will have one or more Lightning Rod users to counter it.
Also, can I just say that Surge Surfer is one of the best Ability names GF has ever come up with?

Thunder is base 110,volt tackle is 120.
I don't know man, we have no idea what different mechanics there will be next gen. I think everyone is jumping on this electric terrain train a little bit prematurely...
It actually makes you wonder if GF made Marowak-A (Fire/Ghost with Lighting Rod) to counter Raichu-A.
Fair enough. Still, though, I'm hyped enough for the strategy to put it at the top of my list of things to test.
It would not surprise me if there were also Abilities that generated Misty Terrain and Grassy Terrain. Really I'm hoping for some new terrain moves as well. I barely played Gen VI, so I never really got to try out the existing ones.
Lt. Surge definitely likes this.
But anyway, we haven't seen what other legendary Tapu does. There could be something else viable too rivaling this tactic. Maybe the meta in this generation is field wars. And that's what I see from the perspective of current situation when it could be entirely different.
