AS far as I am concerned, the game isn't out until bank lets me transfer mons from 6th lol.
AS far as I am concerned, the save files aren't worth keeping after beating the game until bank lets me transfer mons from 6th.

I know that may sound like a bad thing, but to me, it sounds like Bring on the Nuzlokes! I suck, so Death to everything I love! Woo!

Edit: I swear that I didn't know this would be my 666th post when I was saying "Death to everything I love" XD

Not sure if it was mentioned yet but it looks like the female character now gets lipstick as customization.

Love the customization upgrades. I sometimes like to customize the characters I play to make them look like another well-known/iconic character. The ability to change the color of the clothes (as well as the expanded eye and hair options) will make it a lot easier to do that. Can't wait to see all the options available.

Also, the only pokemon revealed so far to have exclusive Z-moves, have been gen 1 pokemon. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it feels weird that the only older pokemon shown to have gotten either an Alola form or an exclusive Z-move so far have been gen 1 pokemon.

I was more happy to see that pink hair is a confirmed option. I was hoping for extra colors in XY (say red, green, blue, and purple like those Team Flare characters) and I was even willing to pay for a hypothetical aesthetic DLC. Now they're finally giving us a true hair dye option, which makes sense since they're also giving a clothing dye option.

20th Anniversary, yo. No doubt GF is also taking advantage of the surge of new or lapsed players re-attracted to the franchise by Go by appealing to them with the names they know--which, for most of them, are not going to be Swoobat or Chimecho or Gastrodon.

The only customization change I really care about is the fact that you can finally skip using a hat, was such a waste of cool hairstyles in XY when they were all covered by hats. Then there was your rival who never wore a hat, just to taunt you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't megas confirmed because CoroCoro said that one of the new Pokemon has Soundproof, so it's invulnerable to Mega Gardevoir's Hyper Voice?

Passimian's Receiver ability is interesting. The fact that it effectively has no Ability until its ally faints is unfortunate. I'm trying to think of Abilities that make Receiver worthwhile. Wonder Guard and form-changing Abilities probably won't work with it. Pure Power/Huge Power could be great, assuming Passimian has a decent Attack stat. Intimidate is nice, as shown in the Japanese trailer. For any Ability that affects your field (Aroma Veil), oppnents' field (Shadow Tag), or the whole field (Cloud Nine), Passimian acts as a redundancy; your opponent has to K.O. both of your Pokémon to remove the effects of the Ability. That might be worthwhile depending on your team and the situation.

Oranguru's Instruct is a crazy move. I have to compare it to Helping Hand. Helping Hand is only half as effective as Instruct (less if you factor in Substitute, etc.), but it has priority, which is a big deal. (I'm assuming that Instruct's priority is neutral.) In order for Instruct to kick off, both Oranguru and its ally have to be alive by the time Oranguru gets to move. Oranguru's Speed is going to be very important.

It would truly be hilarious if Receiver could turn into Wonder Guard, Final Gambit Shedinja would finally have a meaning haha. In fact, I'm actually wondering now if Receiver would activate if the ally pokemon KOed itself through the use of Final Gambit, Healing Wish, Explosion and etc. If so, you could safely pass it cool stuff like Magic Guard ( Clefable + Healing Wish), Speed Boost ( Ninjask + Final Gambit ) and even Contrary for possibly Close Combat shenanigans.

No idea how viable this would be in an actual competitive setting nor do I really care, but it would certainly be a fun ability to play with due to how many different strategies for it one could come up with.

not sure if this was posted,

under the snorlax, isn't that an ultra beast? proof that ultra beasts work like pokemon?

edit: my bad, should have checked the actual pokemon site
Hmm, so that means that in order to get pokemon that were caught prior to gen 6 it is mandatory that you own a copy or X&Y or OR&AS. I guess that is one way to keep gen 6 relevant somehow.

On a positive note, the graphics are really cool. I like the trainer customization too, reminds me of PBR. I only wish I could make my trainer 17 instead of what looks to be 14. At least it's better than looking 10 lol.

I understand keeping the trainer a child for the main story, but it would be cool if for online battle we could create an avatar that we can adjust the age, height, and weight to. I'm also thinking if it would be cool to let us use an in-game trainer model, but then I thought why not just make their clothes available for purchase so you can make your own version of the trainer.

It's almost clear at this point they're only catering to the Gen I Pokemon in Sun & Moon. Maybe when it comes to the other game's 20th anniversary they'll also start doing special things for them so expect Gen II in 2019, Gen III in 2022, Gen IV in 2026, Gen V in 2030, Gen VI in 2033, and finally Gen VII in 2036... you know GF it might be easier to have just celebrated all generations now.

Considering its just a color change, changing hair and lens to any color should be in the game from the start (it looks like you have to choose from a default list but it would have been nice if they gave us a color wheel with a hue bar). Paid DLC should be left for really special stuff like clothing packs of previous generation characters (though I'd also like to occasionally see free DLC too). Maybe even have DLC clothes from other games you get by owning those games.

And there's still plenty more they could do. Like letting up highlight our hair to give it a second (or third) color, let us wear two different color lenses (and lenses that changes the shape of our pupil), and maybe provide color effects like rainbow, glitter, metallic, etc..

Hmm, for Passimian, you know what would be great? If you had a mon with a suicide move and you had Protect. Imagine having this setup: Mega Gengar + Azumarill with a Passimian in the back. Azumarill uses Perish Song and you somehow keep both Pokemon alive for the duration. On the last turn, you switch out Mega Gengar with Passimian and watch as two of your opponents faint and Passimian gains Huge Power. Or hell, play mindgames and switch out Mega Gengar on the second turn so your opponent will either have to deal with having two fainted Pokemon or a beast with Huge Power (assuming it has a decent attack stat)

Hey folks, just a reminder that though we do somewhat relax our restriction on competitive speculation during preview season, please try to avoid talking about banning and tiering stuff. Nothing's been horribly egregious, but with mentions of possibly quickbanning Eevee it seems like a good time for a reminder.

Technician Mr Mime with Healing Wish?

Chlorophyll Lilligant?

Hydration Alomoloa?

Few more possibilities there.

Passimian could see use on weather based teams. Send out your drizzle, drought, ect. Pokemon with passimian and when your weather runs out, sac the weather bringer to refresh said weather. This is assuming passimian gets any decent moves to ABUSE in said weather, but it might be interesting.
I kind of doubt this is going to work out very well in most cases. Keeping your Drizzle/Drought/etc. Pokémon alive for 5 turns without switching it out is tough, and it's almost always going to be way easier to switch it out and in rather than sacrificing it. Again, I think Receiver is more likely to work out when the Ability is a constant, passive one like Shadow Tag.

Oh I know, I'm just saying that I really, really wanted it to be in XY, and then when it wasn't in the game at launch, I was hoping for DLC as a last resort. That's why I'm so happy that SM is giving us such wide options for everything, right from the start. Hair highlights would be another sweet feature, although we might be asking for too much from Game Freak at this point.
