I think Sleeptalk would be pretty interesting.

Cool, I'll go with that set then.

New question: Assuming I already have 1 or more earthquake users on my team, and no steel type moves, would gyro ball be more beneficial to forretress than earthquake? If I decide to use gyro ball, I should definitly use a -speed nature, correct?

Let's say I have a Normal type Technician Pokemon with Double Hit (Ambipom, okay?). Does the STAB boost pile on top of the Technician boost (35*1.5*1.5*2= 157.5), therefore becoming more powerful than Return, or do they operate seperately (meaning (35*1.5+35*1.5)2), and a weaker move.

Yoko: Well, basically, if you do something wrong during the cloning process, you get the "save corrupted" message, and, depending on when you turned off your GBA/DS, you lose the pokémon/item you tried to clone. However, if you get this message, try again, and mess with the process ONCE MORE, which would result in another "save corrupted" message, then you're screwed, the save was deleted and you'll need to start your game since the very beginning ;[

Funny, I've never gotten the corrupted save message when cloning in Emerald. It's pretty cut and dry when to turn off the game. Unlike Colosseum/GTS cloning.

Is Return variable in Wi-Fi or fixed at 102 power? If it is variable, could someone tell me how to maintain high happiness in boxes (iirc it degrades to neutral if they stay in the box) or quickly restore it? I don't want to have to waste a day just to be able to use a pokemon with Return over Wi-Fi.

Unless they changed the way happiness works, boxed Pokemon don't change their happiness. I had no problem with boxing Pokemon in ADV.

What are the best type combinations for best type coverage?

Ghost/Fighting is unresisted.

Dark/Fighting is resisted only by Toxicroak and Heracross.

Ice/Electric is resisted only by Magnezone, Shedinja, and Lanturn.

Water/Normal is resisted only by Empoleon, Dialga, Shedinja, and Giratina.

ice/electric hits a lot of things
fight/ghost hits everything
fight/dark hits almost as much as fight/ghost
ice/ground is only resisted by levitate bronzong, I think
fire/dragon hits a lot (all?)

all I can think of at the moment.

Could a Houndoom be a viable user of toxic? My old set was WoW/Flamethrower/DPulse/HP Fighting, and I'm planning on replacing WoW. Or should I just keep WoW?

WoW compliments Houndoom a lot more as it allows him to cover up his cardboard defences somewhat. I'd stick with WoW 9 times out of 10.

What if I was to consider that I have no toxic users on my team? Wouldn't Will o Wisp's side effect not matter since i'll probably be left with 1 HP anyway?

No, not at all. Tyranitar is gonna switch into Houndoom every single time, provided the opponent has one. Say you hit Tyraniboah with a WoW on the switch, and he proceeds to set up a Focus Punch. Factoring in the burn, you're only gonna be taking about 80%. Without the burn, you're looking at over 190% damage.

Gyarados is another common switch in...after a Will-o-Wisp, Waterfall is doing a meagre 70%, rather than 150%. A Will-o-Wisp is far more crippling and benefits Houndoom a lot more. Toxic is best used on stallers, not fast powerful sweepers.

Ok, as long as I don't need toxic on my team, I'll keep will-o-wisp.

Actually, synchronize does work in Emerald. That is the first game they put it in though and any previous games will not allow you to synchronize for natures. I know this because i synchronize for dittos all the time for breeding.

does dugtrio suck?.I have a jolly one with 31 ivs in attack, speed and defense. and 20's in the rest.Yesterday im in this battle and i send out my dugtrio first. I face a salamance and get my attack lowered due to intimidate. My dugtrio was holding a life orb also. So i use stone edge and it does about idk 65% dmg to the mence. Like i predicted it used dragon dance. Then i next turn i used sucker punch and it hit, and still didnt kil the mence. wtf lol?

can you still EV train a lvl.100 poke? i remember the box trick where you could reduce the evs with berries, ev train, then place in a box to recalculate the stats. does this still work in this gen?
