can you still EV train a lvl.100 poke? i remember the box trick where you could reduce the evs with berries, ev train, then place in a box to recalculate the stats. does this still work in this gen?
I don't think so. I'm pretty sure you can still wipe EVs and give it vitamins though. >_>

I think you can use the box trick up until level 100. I just did it with my Heracross actually, but it's only level 26. I think this is the reason why people avoid lv 100s in trades, because they can't redistribute the EVs.

Right, I've been getting some complaints of using a WTF Flash BP Togekiss. I know that evasion moves are frowned upon, but I was under the impression that accuracy-lesseners are allowed since they're treated like worthless, easily-switchable (kinda) moves...Are these allowed, and if they are, would using them while somehow pulling off a trapper be legit? Thx.

Does Trick Room count as weather? i.e. Does it interfere with sun, sand, hail, or rain?

As a prominent rain dance user, I can 100% confirm it does not, and it drives me nuts when my Swift Swim Kingdra suddenly becomes my slow as mollases heap of junk.

Kingdra uses Rain Dance!
Bronzong uses Trick Room!

Bronzong smacks Kingdra in the face with Gyro Ball =(

Question, what is the best place to EV train for a 252 Sp. atk spread?

My Recommendations
Solaceon Town --> the Gastly place. [forgot its name]
Best though --> Eterna Forest --> old chateau. All you find are Gastly's (1spatk) and if you have a GBA game in your DS, you can find Haunter (2) and Gengar (3) in the room with a portrait.
Trophy Garden --> Pikachu, Pichu, Roselia. Don't go at night b/c the Kricketunes will bug the crap out of you.

I prefer Old Chateau. You need cut though, and one repel should get you through the Wurmples, etc. [You might run into a few Budew's with 1spatk EV each too though]

I know this is a retarded idea but...

I was comparing Electabuzz and Electivire...and I was thinking...

The same way some people use Porygon2 over Porygon-Z...some people can use Electabuzz over Electivire...

Why?

Electabuzz is faster! He also has the same Sp. Atk and Sp. Def as Electivire. He can be a pretty good Special Sweeper!

Would this work? His main sweeping move would be a ThunderBolt (or Thunder if you lean towards power and less toward accuracy). You can give him:

- Thunder Bolt / Thunder
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- Focus Blast (Electabuzz's has higher Sp. Atk than normal Atk)

Just an idea...

But not everyone is going to use an electric attack against an electric Pokemon -.-

I mean, you could surprise them with a switch in when they use a Thunder attack but...I think that this guy could be considered...

If you use experience share on one pokemon, and the pokemon that's battling is holding a power item, does the experience sharing pokemon get all the EVs?

if one pokemon, say infernape, uses u-turn on another pokemon, say snorlax, using counter, does infernape or the new pokemon, say magikarp, take the damage?

I believe it's Magikarp, as you switch out right after using U-Turn, and only then, the opponent attacks.

But I never tested it, so I'm "just" 90% about that.

URGENT

I have a manectric with howl, ice fang and fire fang and I'm trying to breed that male to my female luxray, resulting in a luxray with howl, Ice fang and fire fang...

Both are in the same group, ground, according to Serebii.net.

The dude says "they like to play with others" and I paced for a long time...ugh. Does this mean that I'm thusly boned and should give up on howl and just breed the luxray to my male hippowdon with fire/ice fang?

BTW I'm breeding for jolly, not adamant, so I thought Howl could be nice since I plan on giving it to Loetke to whore around.

Does synchronize work on fished pokemon, cuz right now, it doesnt seem like it does.
