Those 31s can be replaced with like 27/23 and some other numbers and I think the 30s can be just an Even number.

I have a question; How do you increase happiness without giving the pokemon proteins, carbos, etc. IT takes way too long and I am breeding Togepis and I have to evolve them to breed and they only evolve by happiness...>.<.

If you had Tangrowth as your physical wall, how in the world would you go about handling Heracross without doubling up on physical walls?

I suppose sleep, and pray it's not carrying sleep talk. If it is, bank on the 33% chance of it selecting it and then only the 85% chance to hit? Any one have the odds on that? I was never a fan of Russian Roulette.

EDIT: I suppose if I we're going about it, I'd pray Hera walks in on a Knock Off, more then a sleep. No scarf or band means some non defensive Pokemon can walk in on a few of his attacks. *stares at Moltres a bit, but grumbles about stealth rock/stone edge*.

Attach a soothe bell and run around with it in your party. +1 happiness (+ another 1 from bell) every 256 steps. I usually just carry them around while I'm hatching eggs.

Wouldn't that be 14,080 steps. Since Happiness maxes at 250sh. And a hatched egg has a happiness of 140 automatically. 250-140 = 110. Each 256 steps is 2 happy points. 110/2 = 55 X 256 = 14,080. That's more than how many steps it takes to get a Chansey, but this is for a Togepi.

Bulky attackers like Salamence and Gyarados can do a great job of countering Heracross. Other than that, it's just a case of predicting well. If you see a Megahorn coming, switch to Heatran. If it's a Close Combat, go to a ghost.

When the old man is ready to give you the egg, save it in front of him. Take the egg and hatch it. Turn it off and repeat. This way, the nature, gender and ability of the hatched Pokemon will be locked in place, but the IV's will differ.

I'm at 40 in my Ditto chain.
Should I keep racking up chain and risk losing it, or keep re-activating the pokéradar?

I've re-activated like 10 times already, maybe I'm blind and don't see the shiny grass any different from the others (I don't really know what it looks like).

Save before picking up the egg from the old man. When he has an egg for you, the nature and ability of the pokemon in it is set, but the IVs are not. Therefore, if you save before picking up the egg and it hatches with the correct nature and ability but wrong/bad IVs, you can simply reset and hatch another with the same nature and ability with different IVs.

[edit: oops, too late.]

Happiness evolution is around 220 though, so 80/2 =40 * 256 = 10240. It's pretty manageable just through the act of hatching a few lots from a box.

Hmm yes.

Knocking off it's band might be more dangerous then though. As it's free to threaten Growth with Horn, predict a switch and have my Poke take a Stone Edge in the face.

Sleep seems like the best option then, but then I'm playing russian roulette with TWO pokemon =(, and prediction is just plain impossible.

Fuck it, I went for 42 and got a Mr. Mime 8(

40 gives you the max chance of finding a shiny. Going any higher won't help, so you should just keep resetting once you get to 40. The shiny patch is really apparent, instead of rustling, it kind of glows.

Hold soothe bell (double effects)
Massage, bike around with it as 1st pokemon, use it in battles, give it berries, give it happy items, make sure it doesnt faint..

Why do people comment on Porygon-Z being overpowered, but not Dragonite, given that they both have a stat of just over 400 in thier respective offensive specialties?

People who complain about that are quite frankly wrong. They tend to be people that are just upset that np porygon-z can take on their blisseys (or adaptability hyper beam), who they expect to be impervious on the special side. As for comparing porygon-z to Dragonite... well, you are comparing a defensive, potentially mixed sweeper to a fragile special sweeper... kind of hard to do. On a side note, Dragonite is almost completely outclassed by Salamence and Garchomp, so people will never be complaining about him in the foreseeable future.
