SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

The shiny Galarian bird trio is pretty cool. Also, these models look like they are from Pokemon Home (as others have noted). I'm interested to see what they'll look like in-game.

Just what I said, altho after looking at the MLP one, I noticed it has more detail and deep into the drawing. They surely have gone lazy -as usually- on this one.
Like the usual these last gens. Basic design, nothing special. A horse could be more elaborated for a legendary tbh.
I'm not disappointed, because I had no expectations.

This will be the last thing I say about the matter but they surely went down after using the 3D models. It's like everything lacks soul, the mons don't have a character behind them. You look at II or IV Gen Scizor, and it'll be great or not to you, but it looks defiant, menacing. You look at it post V Gen and it's just another bipedal mon standing, just standing right there. Like Rhyperior, like Electivre, like Mewtwo, like... they are all the same, they have no character, their idle poses are just "a mon standing there".

Now, there's no reason to saturate a good design with poor choices. Typhlosion is a great design and its simple af, but when you take a simple design (like this horse) and portray it in a manner that suggest nothing (like this horse, which will be just standing there), it becomes 3D model Typhlosion, and that sucks.

Regardless, this is a 3D render of the horse's official art, as it's clearly a home render. This isn't the in-game model. And most idle poses are, well, idle. There's plenty of idle animations and other animations (especially in gen 6 and beyond mons for obvious reasons, virtually all of the gen 8 mons have a ton of personality shown through animations, but even older mons like Rhyperior finally get to show off aspects like the cannon hands) that aren't shown by the showdown idle sprites that we see all day on this site. Definitely are a lot of misses with older pokemon going 3D, though. At least Ludicolo improved

It's a horse with elegant braids closing its eyes with its long lashes and looking away, that kind of has about as much character as a stock pose MLP does

God the Home Renders are just so bad, though. I know people who like this style more and it baffles me. the 3ds era cell shading and the SWSH styling look leagues better than Home, Go and so forth

Well, it's the stock artwork with a different shading, after all. And it's a pretty well-known thing that the stock artwork poses don't really depict some of the newer Pokémon quite well.

It's actually the models posed in the stock artwork. If they had these exact same poses but had an actual shading to it, it'd look way better.
As it is just about every pokemon looks hideous. The g-max forms are the only ones that really make it kind of work and that's because they use shading to emphasize scale.

more to the "shaders are important" pile, man does everyone's models look awful in mobile home.

The thing is very simple, there's no need for idle animations in sprites. You can show character on the mons, whereas in 3D models you can't show a mon in this manner because it makes no sense, you need a default animation, and that's how every mon ends up possing in the same maner, not to mention flying types, which got destroyed.

What are you trying to show with that sprite? It has much, much more personality than actual Scizor idle, standing-there animation.

Ice type is predictable but quite cool. I'm hoping it's some sort of specially offensive behemoth.

Question is, which of Calyrex's types gets preserved? Hoping for Grass because we're saturated to the brim with Psychics in Ubers already. Or perhaps one is Grass and the other is Psychic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't centroPokemon have a reputation for being full of shit?

I don't buy these frankly, not in this bizarre state. Gimme some actual gameplay footage

Centro Pokemon has this fame in the Hispanic community, I can confirm that. However, this account has been accurate when we talk about leaks, so I'd trust them.

Even when right now they're just playing the fool publishing the leaks in a dumb way, but there is a reason for that and it's to avoid a possible ban.

I suspect both horses to be monotype and one of them (the black one) is either Ghost or Dark. So, Calyrex being Grass/Psychic, I think when it fuses with them it loses the Psychic type faster than it would lose Grass. Specially if it just "rides" the horses. And judging by those sprites, Calyrex remains green on top of the horse.

For the white horse, I have no clue what type it can be. Probably Fairy (but we have already 2 fairy type legends in this gen, plus all the tapus, and Diancie, Xerneas...) or Ice (white resembles snow, idk).

White horse seems Ice. At least seems I predicted it correctly here. Let's see about black
