But then again, what are the terms "Syclant" is based on?

i was achknowledging you. there is also another guy who made a full 120 pokemon fakedex.
but the thing is, we need abilities, stats, movesets, etc. and everything to make a full dex. we would need to gather teams of designers who could find some place to discuss all the elements of the pokemon, of course, with your main ideas of the pokemons functionalities in mind.
 
Icicle + Ant = Syclant. Even though it is prenounced Cicle-Ant, I like the pronunciation of Sy-Clant better. It has a better ring, but w/e. Pokemon was meant to not be prenounced. Half of the names are really weird. Anyway, we all know the Combonation I want! Normal/Steel Lax split evo. Also, Ghost/Fire could have some crazy awsome movepools AND an awsome sprite.

EDIT: OH, OH! Pick me, Pick me! I think, if we are going to tackle an entire series, one person should do one Pokemon. But before doing this a list of how many of each type we should have and how many pokemon go into a certain teir. This would include an entire Evo Line, if there is one.

Pinchworm / Mandibug (Split Pinsir EVo)
Pernade (AWESOME)
Servune
Sectome
Pyroyo
Jakokashi (AWESOME)

I could make some stats/movesets for these blighters

@MwL Unfortunately, I never could draw well and never did keep the picture, as for stats e.t.c I was too young to really give a damn, this was befor G/S/C :P:P back on my Old Gameboy... I miss that thing..

However I might get someone to try and draw me one :D
 
Well Pinchworm would work to be Pinchworm - Pinsir - Mandibug (now that I think on it)

I might work on the stats of them, aswell as movesets/abilities e.t.c :D

We already told you, your idea made no sense. It'd be like giving Dugtrio Honey Gather. Right ability, wrong pokemon.

I feel the order could be switched around a bit. Maybe figure a type and THEN design the creature. The competitive stuff should come last, most likely.

These are the ones I think would make the PERFECT additions:
-Jakokashi + Evo Line
-Those Frigid D Bosses, even if they arent Pokemon, would make great Dragon types, Ice/Dragon and Fire/Dragon respectivly
-Infernant + Evo line
-Frylimar [Though we really don't need more Waters]
-The Koala things
-Servune + Evo line
-Farfetch'd evo, though I really dispise the name......
-Mandibug + Evo
-Skeletank [My all time fav!]
Those are the ones that work well.

Oddly enough, I was thinkingof the Fusion idea like Rocko a while back. Except my idea was weird. It was a move where when you used it on a wild Pokemon, you merge with them, you attacks a split and you have 2 of yours and 2 of the mergie, then after like 10 battles, you split apart and if you have a POkeball, you get it! But yeah, wierd idea.
 
cooper, just ignore him, he basically doesnt know what he is talking about and he came to the conclusion we picked the moves and stuff before anything else.

what do you think of that idea about sending it to shoddy cooper?
and what do you think og my other ideas ._.?
 
I read it, but I didn't digest it the first time, so I'm reading it again:

First to Coop, You handled it aswell as anyone really could the first time round, Some errors on you're part made a bit of a hassle of the actual moveset pokemon however You have to be congratulated on what you made.

Fo' sho.

First of all, the Bug looks rather stocky and sharp, Something other drawings had over advantage over it. (JSC's is a perfect example, even though I voted for neither) (This is not shown in the lil mini sprite which does look awesome). Arm's look out of place into where they protude from the actual Abdomen of pokemon. Also the way the icicles come from the pokemon's back don't look right from both angles.

You'd have to talk to Cyzir about that one. I believe he's working on improving the sprite currently.

The abilities are poor for this poke to say the least. How are they Compound eyes? Look at other pokemon, and then look at this one, You notice that the eyes on this differ from a far greater deviant than between the others, As for mountaineer, it's about as useful as run away. The way I suggested it made is so much more, Alas I don't feel as the Ability is of any use, or how it relates to mountaineer.

Compound Eyes is a perfectly viable ability flavor-wise. if you look at the sprites, some of them have four smaller eyes above the primary eyes. Those are the compound eyes. Also, Nincade and Yanma don't really have compound eyes, do they? As for Mountaineer, did you miss the part where it's 4x weak to Rock?

Dex entries 2 and 3 are amazing, though they should be re-wrote to actually compliment each other. I feel Dex 1 overshadows other good choices, and the 100x stronger part just ruins it. If the pokemon is that frail in defences how can it be smased so easily?

This has been mentioned before, and I don't consider the conflicting abilities a huge problem. As long as they're in two different games, and the kids playing them don't pay too much attention, it will go unnoticed. For the bone thing, Syclant won't really be getting shattered (that would kill, and Pokemon is about KOing), so strong bones is fine.

I was considering Pursuit as an egg move, but honestly, with a pokemon this strong and versatile, opposing pokemon need an option for switching out safely.

Yes. But how should we do it? My first thought was asking Amazing Ampharos, but I don't know him that well. My second thought was asking TheMantyke, who is Gouki on shoddy. What do you guys think? Also, Doug is working on his own server, I believe.

Ok. I was just suggesting the awsome ones. Hey, we can't use them without your opinion anyway. And if people were to read my idea <_< this process might go faster. Might. Of course with my idea, updates are nesecary.
 
Woah, why are we diving into a whole dex right off the bat?

I see no harm in tackling it one by one like we've been doing.

Hmm, Nincada does have large eyes as does Yanma, if the extra eyes were either more visible then I'd be happier, As for Mountaineer that came of my suggestion to you via PM. All mountaineer does is guarentee a safe switch in, After that useless. I'd either go for preventing all direct rock or preventing all indirect rock damage. Much more simpler and get's the job done.

Aye, but for those of us that are not kids that notice, Quite frankly I'm one of those people, and it shows sloppy craftsmanship on that part.

Dex Entry 2: "Some Wild SYCLANTs tend to be more aggressive than others, so much so that they are exiled from Colonies. They train by breaking apart large glaciers."

Being that as the Dex Entry helps clear up any confusion about whether they live along or in colonies.

I'm inclined to agree however this pokemon screams PURSUIT, Heck even dex entry 3 "Even in harsh blizzards they can quickly chase down their prey with stunning agility". It all leans towards it.

Maybe Pursuit can replace Crunch?

Also, Remove Ice Punch please. The fangs were put in there for the sole reason of those that cannot recieve the punches.

Whole Dex straight off the bat is too much, maybe a new Evoloution line is fair enough, or Run side by side an EVO/Pre-vo of existing pokemon. That way Dex will be done in a fair enough manner..

Lol. But it would take forever. Dividing the task is probably what they do at Game Freak. I mean if they did what we did, they still wouldn't have R/S/E out.
 
Gengar... Are we Gamefreak? Do we get paid for this? Is this just for funsies? If yes, then just do it how we are doing it, at least this way it truly is SMOGON's Dex rather than spam filled crap....

The whole point of the "Create A Pokemon" is to avoid what you're doing. However, you're doing it even worse with what WOTC calls "top-down" designing, which is taking a picture and designing the pokemon to go along with it. Seriously, I understand you like Rocko's work, but that doesn't mean we have to design a whole pokedex for it. If we were doing that, I'd rather go with these pokemon.

Ice Punch needs to stay. It's the only viable physical Ice move, especially considering the only other one is Ice Shard, which serves a different purpose.
