Another critical hit question.

Absol with Super Luck has what percent chance of critical hitting with a high CH-ratio move?

EDIT: Annnd one more thing... it's about Torment. Let's say that Mightyena has Quick Feet, so it uses Protect turn 1. The opponent tried to use Brick Break, and Mightyena's Toxic orb activates. Now, Mightyena outspeeds the opponent. If I use Torment, will he be blocked from using Brick Break in that same turn since he just used it the turn before? If so, would he be able to use it again the following turn or would he be forced to use a different move?

sort of a dumb question, but...

I've heard people say in their warstories and such that they use protect to scout if the opponent has a scarf or not. how does protect reveal that?

SimChao:
6.25% critical
12.5% Super luck
25% scope lens
50% high crit move
100% focus energy

if you stack all of these (and absol gets focus energy)

that should be right
x2 for each bonus
and I know they are stackable (to a degree at least)

Stathakis:
They can't tell because protect is priority
but they assume its choiced
scout for the move they will be "locked in to"
and switch to appropriate counter

protect does only show you if the opponent has a choice scraf ih the opponent stays in and your pokemon would have been faster and OHKOt the opponent. But generally you only scout which moves the opponent uses if you know that he has a choice item, so you can switch in your counter.

@SimCHao again ^^ 33,2%

You basically have 6,25% chance to ch.
The next step is at 12,5% then comes 25%, 33,2% and finally 50%
Attacks with a high ch chance start at 25%, and everything else besides Porentas special item adds one level.
Butheoretically you could get over 50% with Honchkrow.

Are there any tools online that lets you put in a certain number of attack types and it will show you what Pokemon resist those types? Or anything like that?

I believe Serebii had one for the third gen. Should be under game mechanics I guess. Don't know anything else.

btw someone have a EVspread for a relaxed claydol ment to be a TRuser.

What vileplume moveset is the best? I am thinking: timid, (enough speed to outrun weavile) 252 special attack, rest in HP.

sunny day
grass knot?/solarbeam
HP fire/Sludge bomb/sleep powder
Moonlight/HP fire/sleep powder

what is the best?

If you are using Sunny Day, you will outspeed everything except Electrode and Ninjask with Modest after you set up. You do not need a +speed nature.

OK, I'll do Modest. What about Aromatherapy? Vileplume could be really good as a status abuser, and it could absorb toxic spikes.

Perhaps the old Jirachi+Salamence? Trangrowth also comes to mind... I can't think of a thrid to go with either of those though.

Also, always Ditto with the everstone.

If there's a female, give the everstone to the female to pass the female's nature. Otherwise, give ditto the everstone to pass ditto's nature.

Just depends on whether you want them to heal up, or sleep away :D (For attacking one anyawys)

90% of the time use HP fire as it wipes out most of the grass types that'd otherwise come into wall you. Sludge Bomb should only be used if you fear coming up against a Ludicolo who'd wall this set otherwise.

What's so important about Emerald? I just got it.. what should I do to get the best out of it (for wi-fi purposes and trading here)

:D

Emerald pwns all for the Tutor Moves like fire/ice/thunder, the ability to SR for a good Lati@s , or if you have access to AR able to get Lugia, Deoxys, Mew and Ho-oh.

Besides Earthquake, and the occasional Surf, what moves are commonly found on teams and are good at taking out a Typhlosion?

Stone Edge is a staple move for most fighting type pokes, Waterfall (Due to the commoness of Gyra), A team will generally have at least 2 pokes running some type of Ground, Water moves.

It has emerald move tutor moves like ice punch, etc. (Check serebii for all the emerald move tutors). Plus it has kyogre/groudon/rayquaza/3 regi's and well you CAN get lati@s but it runs away like mesprit.

If you're intending to use Counter or Mirror Coat, is it better to have a high IV in the Def or Sp.Def stat, or lower?

Butheoretically you could get over 50% with Honchkrow.

Honchkrow doesn't get Focus energy...

Going off of that though. I used to run a novelty team where I used an XD Swellow as a lead to use Focus energy, then Baton Passed to my Absol who critted nearly every attack. ;)
