That looks like a forced battle with a Level 5 Pokemon that doesn't even know Growl... ;_; This is almost as bad as BDSP's forced affection. At least I can get around me never attacking by letting someone else play through this part.


Edit to make my grief more clear: Read my title, signature, or any of the posts I made in the Restricted Sparring thread. (or anyone's posts about Restricted Sparring. The people here that take on Battle Facilities are insane!)

This is the first battle in the game bro literally what's the problem. Yeah of course the moves on both sides are garbo

EDIT: On a serious note I unironically like going through the intros of pokemon games for myself and the leaks usually don't start at/go through the earlygame, so this is kind of weird to see all the story details streamed out like this bit by bit and I might stop at some point. At the least I hope they don't complete the main campaign in this week before release and get it spread around social media, or at least the data dumps get out there to keep me occupied. It really does seem like there's a lot of new ideas for the series on this focused singleplayer experience.

Nice to see that nicknames are confirmed after there hasn't been a usual nickname prompt in the footage seen.
I think 'Change moves' may allow you to swap moves in and out freely out of your total accessible learnset into your four skill slots for battle, and so the game can still track what moves have styles unlocked and such. This is just a theory though but I feel like it'd be more like other RPGs if so.
Also natures exist, it's late so I won't go into comparing the stats and I'll probably wait for a datamine on that eventually.

EDIT: Big drama. The stream is over because apparently too many people are paying to get in and I guess these poryleek guys suddenly don't want the attention anymore. Maybe they should have thought about that before putting a huge watermark with their names on their footage.

Something smells.
  1. The server's supposedly been locked down all month.
  2. The guy in charge denies the existence of a paywall.
Either PoryLeeks is full of it, or someone in his circle was using a private invitation to fleece his new followers behind his back. Most likely they have a "welcome channel" where the new arrivals are confined until they can prove they aren't bots, making them easy pickings for a scam of this nature. If this is honestly the case, it is definitely something they should sort out before they resume streaming—at best, they don't want attention now because they need to get their house in order for the safety of the people giving the attention.

To be fair kind sir, considering the way this game is designed, I have a very difficult time seeing that your favourite challenge would remotely be doable in this.

We don't know so much (yet) but I do expect most of the typical ""status damaging"" moves to not exist, and the way enemy pokes AI seems to work means you're likely just going to get murdered by Strong attacks if you try to stall.

Okay. After all that's unfolded, I'll try to give a rundown of the most prominent leakers. There's been a lot to parse.

Riddler Khu
  • Source of every credible leak we had until yesterday.
  • Currently holding radio silence.
Ques
  • Trainer zero. First to get his hands on a copy and post screens. He did so via personal Facebook.
  • Got doxxed instantly and decided it was time to disappear.
PoryLeeks
  • First notable leaker to showcase real data. His contribution was yesterday's Discord stream.
  • Currently crying into his pillow for undisclosed reasons.
  • May have been abetting something shady. May have been approached by Nintendo ninjas or scared into believing they're onto him.
  • Really regrets watermarking all of his footage, which lends some credence to the latter theory. No telling if he'll resume tomorrow.
Eclipse
  • Buddy of PoryLeeks who was in the stream. Has said a lot of confusing bullcrap in the past three hours.
  • Has been playing up that PoryLeeks is in trouble but can't be arsed to say what. Only that it's "for reasons" and "more serious than you think."
  • Passing the buck. Basically says he can't dump his copy but assures us someone else will get to it in the morning.
  • Promises more news tomorrow!... but no longer seems interested in creating it himself.
BallGuyLEAKS
  • Covered the Facebook leak and called it a day.
  • Received a shout-out from PoryLeeks via Twitter. Unclear whether he was involved in the stream. Does not have his own copy yet.
Centro LEAKS
  • Plagiarizing everyone else per usual. Credit where it's due, he's lightning-fast and convenient for organizing it all in one place.
  • "Leaker drama always delivers."
  • Smug as if he hasn't been feuding with Khu since last February.
And as the dust settles, we still don't have any new Pokémon confirmed. The wait for the dump is going to be tense.

Perhaps worth noting that at one point Khu did post a riddle showing mixed pairings of the DP + PLA protags, which seems like it was hinting at the time travel shtick that was revealed. While Khu could very well have thrown in some "mistakes" into what he revealed, I'm certainly expecting most of it to be accurate. Hopefully one of the early copy leakers manages to evolve a starter or find one of the not officially revealed mons soon.

"More serious than you think" was about the original guy who got doxxed.

Was hoping that things would have continued offline overnight and we'd see starters by morning, but guess not. Would be funny if we got a trailer today that revealed them just before the leaks got out. :P
