Smogon Simple Questions Thread

a lot of people (myself included) get a bit confused when it comes to exactly what 12am and pm means, so by setting it 1 minute before it feels easier to follow. Also it signals the end of the day.
Where can I ask everyone to rate my team? Should I post here or anywhere else? (Actually Im new to smogon)

You need to go to the right subsection (either SS OU, Other SS tiers or Old Gens) and make a new thread with your team. Be sure to read carefully the rules before posting, and especially to have at least 3 lines of description for each member of the team.

Idk if this is the right place or if this has been asked before, but will there be a Legends Arceus format in the future?
The new Pokemon from Pokemon Legends: Arceus have been added to Pokemon Showdown! but will not be getting a separate format because PLA is currently singleplayer and thus has no multiplayer battling system.
What format can we use the new forms in?
I've been browsing Smogon Stats and found a measurement of the "stalliness" of a metagame. How is this calculated and where can I find the raw data for it?

Hey, welcome to Smogon. I think what you are searching is non random free for all (1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1). In this case the format can be found in the second column of the format list. You'll be able to build teams for this format and use them.
Damn, we did this. But moves like heling hand don't work on "enemies". :/

Hey! When you are in a subforum where you have the permissions to make a thread, you will see an orange button "Post thread" in the top right corner (see the screenshot in spoiler just below). Hitting this button will allow you to create a thread in the subforum/subsection you are in. You will then have to choose a title and write the first post (just like when you do a regular post).
However, there's rules in most subforum about posting new thread so be sure to be aware of the rules of the subforum you want to post in before making a new thread. Especially, don't post a new thread without moderator approval in the subforums that requires it.
so to make long posts easier is to use BB codes, but is there a way to toggle BB codes off when you have copied and pasted your post from sandbox to the thread you want? since BB codes cant copy pictures (unless theres a way idk how) and its teedious to put pictures in a text box of BB codes
Once you have made a certain amount of posts (I forget how many), you will be see this button
at the bottom-right of posts. You can then hover over it to get this menu:
from there, simply click the reaction you'd like!
