SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

Has there been any indication at all from datamines or leakers on whether past legendaries will be obtainable in DLC 2? Since Gen 6, the latter half of a generation always had a way for past legendaries to be obtained within the current game, just in time for the restricted legendary format VGC season. Hoopa Portals, Ultra Wormholes, and Dynamax Adventures were all made with this in mind. With a lack of a dex entry not being a full indication of a Pokemon returning, the closest hint we got so far is that every Paradox Pokemon's regular counterpart is part of the dex, except Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, meaning there's a high probability Suicune and Virizion will return in the Indigo Disk.
As far as I know there's no actual straight indication of either options.

We know that we're expecting a certain amount of pokemon and that the removed dex entries don't exactly match it nor do if you add all the missing legendaries either, so we're up to just guess currently.

Smart money is at least some will come back. Aside from precedence, it also provides another "big" update to add to VGC since most of the other DLC Pokemon probably won't make an impact in the same way. And the Paradoxes getting their counterparts, as you say...it'd be so strange not to have them at all.
Meanwhile we have minimum another 15 slots that have to be filled and as we discussed in the Returning Pokemon thread, the total amount of Pokemon available by the end of the SWSH DLC was well above 200 stated. So hell we could easily get every legend & even UB back if they really wanted, instead of a selection of them.

That said datamine hasn't caught any extra entries to the internal listings, but we didn't know the added Mythics were added until the DLC dropped (& there was a brief period where the other Unovan starters and Carbink didnt have listings). And Khu basically never talks about returning Pokemon at all so nothing on that front either.

Now, while I believe we'll get at least the "big hits" of legends, when it comes to Modes to obtain them instead of just transferring them....that is also not something either datamine nor Khu have mentioned.
And that's something that really makes me think there just might not be anything. There are a LOT of leftovers from Indigo Disk in the last patch, from rooms to location data for the Pokedex, to story events, to added rooms, and so on and so forth but conspiciously nothing that really looks like it points to a legendary mode.
The tutorial stubs in particular really catch my eye in that regard, as I brought up in the other thread because while there's no actual text to go with the codename (all this is just my commentary)
HAGANE -Means Steel. Probably related to the Steel girl. I bet she has a more dedicated sidequest, but probably more on par with Perrin than a whole other mode. I also think if it was more of a mode of play it would be called something other than "STEEL"
RIDEFLY - the new riding minigame/travel mode
TTYPE - likely for the new tera type
SCAN - I would bet this pertains to Perrin's new sidequest
BBPOINT - Explaining how the new currency works
BBMISSION (0-4) - Explaining what to do for the new missions/mini games
CLUB - Explaining the club room and how to mess with it and what you can do
ITEMMACHINE - Bet this is Cram-o-matic 2.0. Put in your garbage, get something more useful. At least it'll be more useful this time with all the exceses materials?
CLUBPC - Presumably anything not directly covered by the Club will go here; probably involves changing the look, items and mayeb inviting people
SMACHINE - I bet this is the "PK Hex lite" we've known is coming.
PHOTOMODE - A New photo thing. Maybe it'll be a rotom drone lol
STEEL and SCAN are probably the best possible options, since they're the most vague and "Scan" could pertain to something else to obtain. But I dunnnoooo none of these scream "this is the new legendary mode" (or a battle facility)

Khu not saying anything about it also feels more sus as we go along. He doesn't talk about everything, especially if it's stuff I assume that doesn't garner interest or has already been revealed, but does seem like maybe he'd at least throw out something about legends.

Still, it's possible I'm just taking a cynical read of the situation. Scan could pertain to Perrin after all, but maybe it's like scanning for distortionsworm holes mysterious tera crystals that have Legendary raids as an example

This might be the closest Khu has come to commenting on returning mons:

Whether the last comment is referring to the dlc being awesome or whatever game follows it, who knows.

Makes me wonder if you have to get your other box legends through the PKHex-Lite or HOME transfers post-Indigo Disk. Maybe that's the sneaky way they let you get a Lunala in the Indigo Disk - get a Lunala ticket for the SMACHINE and craft your Lunala there...

Wasn't the "PKHex-lite" supposed to be the home move reminder?

Steel and Dragon are in both Elite Four, just noticed, and that disturbs me, because its been since like, gen 2, since weve had a Poison Type E4 Member I think (no, I dont count the SM/USUM games final 4)

More hints that seem to point to the UBs not making it. Second tweet might implies the other legends/mythicals do make it. We'll find out soon I guess.

Oh wait. New koraidon and mirai? Yay! it's been months they Still flyin like archeops
Yeah, plus Terapagos and Dokutaro, hey are not included in that number, meaning 13 or more possible returning legendaries, hopefully one is Genesect and he gets suspected for OU
If Ko/Miraidon flight is involved, I wonder if it's like ORAS where some legendaries could be found in rifts and storm clouds while soaring in the sky.
Hopefully that and not raids because I suck at raids

So like, is there any reason to believe that guy specifically

Or, no, I guess it doesn't matter at all because that's basically an anti-leak. "More than 15" is basic bet hedging because of what we know about the list of Pokemon + Khu already hinting that the other Legends are back. And people (who are not me, har har) generally already expected a new mode anyway.

Considering he's basically stating the obvious (hey we'll have a new kind of gimmick minigame to catch the legendaries for VGC) with no source and no other info... nah.

That's basically if i went on reddit and said "leaks say we'll have a dipplin evo". Wowee thanks didn't know it from the whole Eviolite thing...

Presumably stealing from Centro who turned Khu’s vague hints about returning legends into a confirmation of a dynamax adventures type thing.

So no, really.

I think Light88 has historically just been another over-interpreter of Khu's hints. Khu replied to somebody saying he would hint the method of how to get the legendaries in SV in later posts, and I assume this "leak" is referring to that.

Any word on Suicune, Virizion and the other legendary types that have paradox forms returning? I have a feeling those might be some of the last few unknown returning types.

All we have is, as stated earlier on the page, Khu implying the non-UB legends are returning.

If thus includes Mythicals, well, that’ll be very scary
Zeraora, the Tapus, Marshadow, Genesect, Victini, etc
They can be as scary as they want, mythicals were never legal in competitive so balance was never really a concern.

Tapus are what most people are looking forward to, most notably Koko, since currently the future paradoxes are all severely hurt by basically not having an ability

First, I’m talking singles, second, but something tells me KokoHands will be real popular in VGC.
Second, in STABmons, Spectral Thief is back.
Third, they could suspect Genesect, because it might be balanced now. Defensive and offensive Power Creep have increased drastically, even since last gen.
