It works for all Generation 4 and 5 games.
There isn't anything different between them, afaik. If you have it working on one, it should work on the other. Stupid question: are you sure you have gts access? In not sure when it opens up in game, but you have to get to a certain point, I think.

It seems like you've gotten in. Anyways, most Gyms are Showdown only, but they have alternate gym leaders that can do Wifi.
