I love rattlemebones and I even got a guy I know irl in on it too and I wish I could watch videos like this forever. Like this guy really made sure the pitches matched

    btw for the record I hate this twist in EO. I think it is just bad and pointless.

    not the fact that the whole world had to rebuild from a cataclysm but the fact that it was OUR Earth. I always hate that twist that connects the fantasy world with the real one. Hated it in FMA, hated it in He-Man, hated it in The Lego Movie (kinda, the universe was more flexible in that one, so it was "ok"). Bleh.

    I think they were trying to warm up to it a bit more, make it less sudden twist, in EOU since they talk about Raquna coming from Ontario. Probably more stuff with Frederica (Ricky is a bad name) that I'm forgetting too.
    Lego Movie was fine, haven't seen the others. In general I just feel like it doesn't really add anything by it being Earth, but it doesn't really take much away either. I'm fairly meh towards that side of it.

    Yeah in EOU it was hinted at. Ricky (Ricky is a good name it made me like the name Ricky) even names some Japanese cities or whatever.

    Also yeah Lego Movie was okay since they are actually toys. So it made a little more thematic sense.

    And yeah that's why it doesn't bother me that much. I hate that it exists but it doesn't hurt the story much because it literally does not factor into anything lol.

    It is a problem in Full Metal Alchemist because Earth existing factors into the rules of alchemy. Which is stupid. But that was something the anime writers had to come up with as the show broke off from the manga. In Brotherhood they don't do that IIRC (haven't seen it).
