  • Doesn't matter if you do or don't. You can easily just switch to it if you don't AS LONG AS you don't stop on the happiness checker. You can go over it, just don't let it open. If that makes sense... If you're on Platinum, you can just avoid it all altogether. It's #15 and the happiness checker is #6, so yeah. Anyways, lol, after you collect the egg, just go to the coin flip app, flip it 10 times, and let me know what your results are. H,H,T,H,H,T,T,T,H,H is what you want them to be, so if you get those, then congratulations, you hit your spread.
Oh, you don't need to recalibrate anymore. It's obvious that you're hitting frame 8 after 11 tries now, lol. Just go ahead and try to hit your spread. Do you have the coin flip poketch app?
I re-calibrated (again), and still got frame 8. the hatchling this time has a spread of 13/31/31/2/31/31.
Yeah, that sounds about right (what I'm on :P). Seconds is easy - just be careful with pikatimer when you're using it ^^ IF I guess ;P

Good luck! ^_^ Seems like you have much better helpers than I could ever be, XD. Though if you need a second//third opinion, feel free to ask ^^
I guess I'm going to be around a little longer, so I can check by your seed flips too. Right after you collect your egg, switch your poketch app to number 15 if you have it, do 10 coin flips, and tell me what you got. If you don't have it, then you're going to have to catch a wild pokemon, and check it's IVs to find out what delay you hit.
I can't tell which means that you missed your delay. Catch a pokemon, and put it's IVs into the Seed Finder to find out what delay you hit.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but no you can't, lol. The NPCs are what are making your frame you collect the egg on 8. Once you collect the egg, the IVs are determined, not once it's hatched. After that, you can fly anywhere you want to to hatch the egg and not have to worry about messing up the IVs. Is that what you were trying to ask? :P
Hey r u too busy with ur RNGin or do u wanna trade. Or I guess I culd wait if ur tryin to figure that out still
    Date: 07/03/2010
    Target Time: 21:04:16
    Delay: 594
    Seed: 2915025C
    Flips for seed: H,H,T,H,H,T,T,T,H,H
    IVs are A/A/A/25/31/31
Yeah, if you're doing IVs, and you do it the way you're supposed to:
save before picking the egg up
    hatch to verify nature/etc
pick a new seed with a target frame (of IVs)
set your DS Date/time up and try to hit it
have your journal open on startup
mash A and collect the egg to find out what frame it's landing on
figure out how many j flips you gotta do
go back and repeat till you get it

Even THEN egg IVs can be a real pain in the butt.
If you're getting an inconsistent or, improper (odd Frames when you need an even, or vice versa) the best advice I could give you would be to re-save real quick to randomize your frames:

Start your game (date/time doesn't matter)
just stand there for...10...20...60 seconds whatever BUT DON'T PICK UP YOUR EGG
    re-save your game again

This will randomize what frame you get, and can oftentimes help.
Sometimes you gotta do that a few times, sometimes just once. It's random. :/
    Good luck!
Eww...that's much too icky if you can't generate your adjacent spreads.
And...it's definitely a bad way to go. You can technically do without it though if you "know" for certain your average delays.

You can find frame by (after hatching the egg) catching a random poke and entering its data into seed finder and generating a frame from RNGReporter (like what you did to find your save frame). You don't know your delay. Your seconds should be spot on from calibrating. So...you just go blind with coinflip tricks I suppose until you hit your sequence.

If this isn't working later...you can get whoever was helping you to generate adjacent results and pretty much take pics of it on the computer and compile on paint and upload it to you via tinylink, lol. I"m sure if you promise that person the result of your RNG, they'd comply ^_^
That's all right for frame calibration, you don't need to soft reset. I myself don't soft reset. Just stop trying to hit your delay right now. Start up the game, and press 'A' as fast as you can until you have the egg.
Hmmm...Do you have the fast hatch code? With a difference of 4 in the frame, I would recommend doing frame calibration a couple more times. :s You don't have to if you don't want to, but I think it would be helpful and maybe save you some more time down the road.
    Well?
    1) It depends on what you're RNGing (eggs, roaming legendaries, stationary legendaries, etc)
    2) It depends on what your "target frame" is (the frame with the IVs/whatever you WANT on it)
    3) It depends on what incorrect frame you're consistently hitting.
Yep, not exactly, but that works out great. Just do frame calibration again, lol.

Oh, yeah...lol. If you're using an AR, you can always use fast hatch. I do it for frame calibration. It saves sooo much time.
I'm taking it you're on the soft reset part of IV egg abuse, in which case you're using time finder (meaning it's working for you ^^)

Anyways, on the chosen spread, right click and select generate adjacent results. Enter in the necessary data and it should come up with a new list for you to look at. Check which IVs matches your pokemon's and yep :P
There's a way you can check yourself, but I'd be happy to do it for you if you want me to. It's just like frame calibration. Collect the egg as fast as you can, catch a wild pokemon, put it's IVs into the Seed Finder along with the date, click okay, that should go to Method, select Breeding (DPPt), and click generate. Then hatch the egg and match up the IVs. That will tell you your delay and what frame you're hitting. I can't really help you anymore until you find out what frame you're hitting. :s

Basically, just redo frame calibration, but try to hit your delay at the same time. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. Let me know if it doesn't.
Eww - that's a bummer then, XD. Time Finder is a pain to deal with at times, though only for captures for me. Everything else works pretty fast :/

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
