  • On your seconds questions on PRNG Help - RNG reporter is most likely correct. If you change your delay too much from calibration, your second values can also change with it. Also, depending on how many times you calibrated, you might've just missed 17seconds.
Yeah, RNG Reporter, if it glitches, it does it because it can no longer do the math because it's missing the data to do the math. I've had to restart the program a few times because I forgot to fill in a box.
LOL. Believe me, I had to do all this when I was learning to breed. I had to get my pokes out of daycare and recheck their IVs. I made every mistake you could think of to learn to RNG.
The thing is, Seeds to Time is the other way to get some of the functions you use in Time Finder, namely the adjacent delays.

If you clicked the use parent IVs button, then you must fill in all the IVs for the parents. You can easily do that by taking the parents out of daycare and checking their IVs. Just soft reset after so you're still waiting to get your egg.
Click seeds to time box on the main window or RNG Reporter and tell me what happens. Does a window open up?

Also, I only experience freezing with time finder if something that needs to be in one of the data boxes is left out. It always freezes if something necessary is left out of the equations it needs to run.
Well, let's clear up some things so it's easier for you to get answers from other people. You already found your seed when you chose it as the one you wanted. The seed is the hex number you put into RNG Reporter that gave you both the delay, the frame, and the IV spread for the pokemon you wanted on that delay with that correct frame. So you aren't trying to find your seed again. You're trying to find what delay you hit so that you can then get to the right frame.

Did you read my noob guides at all? If you were to follow them step by step, you would probably have an easier time doing your RNG. They were meant to be followed while you actually did the RNG. They include info on delays and adjacent delays and what to do about adjacent delays. So you really should be reading them, trying to follow them and then asking questions when you hit a spot that is more difficult.
    Oh, haha, TRUST TEH REPORTARRRR!!!

About flying, nah it doesn't hurt anything, as long as you do it soon before it changes from day to night or whatever.
PokeRNG is listed somewhere on the very first page of the RNG thread. Just look for Wichu's post.

Yeah you can get pretty much any Egg IV or Legendary IV/Nature seed hex from PokeRNG or from the seed finder. Just check "open search" and it'll give you a good list of seeds that'll give you those IVs/nature/etc.
oh yeah about the time finder, it does that to everyone. that's why noone ever uses it, there's really no reason to. you can find all the spreads you need in the seed finder and in another separate simple program called PokeRNG. Plus neither of those put any stress on your computer.
Hey, I've gtg for about an hour or so. If you still need help, just send me a PM and I'll reply when I get back on.
Hey Skippy! Sorry if you haven't received the Munchlax yet. I can't ask for Shawk's help yet cause his computer isn't working. He told he'd ask for his uncle's help to fix his PC.
Taking a break won't hurt. I had to take many when I started RNG because it can be draining when you're learning it.

Tomorrow, you can redo the egg IVs on Time Finder to see if you can generate a few seeds with higher delays. Using Pikatimer, you should be able to hit the delay more easily.

Speaking to you made me realize that this info wasn't covered properly in one section of my noob guide, so I tweaked one section about delays.

I have to go to bed, so if you still need help, just leave a VM and I'll try to answer as soon as I can, but it will have to be tomorrow.
Btw, if you do decide to use Pikatimer, you can still hatch your egg with the wanted IVs but with a different seed that has a higher delay. This might make it easier for you to get your wanted pokemon, since there will be no possibility that your starting delay went over your target delay before you even started your journal flips.
If you're on DPPt, you may be very very close to your calibrated delay as well. The closer you are to your calibrated, the more often you can miss it if the delay swings higher momentarily. Delays aren't always stable. So if you calibrated 580, for example, and the delay swings to 598 on a particular soft reset, there's no way you can hit your wanted delay of 594 on that attempt. You have to try again and hope that the next soft reset will have a starting delay below 594.

If I recall correctly, my delays in Platinum were very close to 592. Since I'm using Pikatimer, I never take seeds with delays below 600 anymore. When I was using the computer clock, I tried to keep my delays as close as possible, but I think I may have missed my seed many times due to the delays jumping in the game.
All right. If you need anymore help tonight that doesn't involve me checking stuff on RNG Reporter, let me know. :P I'll be off and on the forums for a while. And yeah, Nintendo wifi pretty much sucks.
For calibrating, it's easier if your egg hatches before you catch a pokemon. It save a lot of time.
That wouldn't screw you up as the IVs are determined when you collect the egg. The reason you were hitting 4 before and you are now hitting 8 is because after you got Magmortar, you resaved in front of the daycare man causing the NPCs to move in a different pattern upon entering the game. What more than likely went wrong is you missed your frame. I can't help you anymore tonight (wii), but you can try it yourself if you still want to.
Pikatimer is a java applet totally seperate from RNG Reporter. You have to have java on your computer to run it. The link to Pikatimer is somewhere on the first page of the RNG help thread.
Sorry, I can't really help you anymore tonight because I'm on my Wii right now. However, do you remember the IVs the baby had when your coin flips matched up? Also, you're doing them AFTER you collect the egg, right? It's weird that you calibrate 8 that many times , and when you hit your delay you don't hit your frame.
